You decide to pay a visit to Irrigo. His arrow points the same direction as two others: Lucrinus's and Orbis's. You assume that they are in a group together, so you expect to see some sort of family unit. Whatever the case, the arrow points to the water, so you dive in.
You follow the marked trail to a dark cave. It makes you rather nervous, but you're absolutely terrified when its three inhabitents burst out to hover in front of you.
"GYAH!" you cry, swimming rapidly backwards. These creatures are, without doubt, sea serpents in the truest sense. Their muscular bodies wave in the water like seaweed, and their fins ripple in the current. Their wide, glowing eyes look you up and down, until the leader speaks.
I am Irrigo, he sneers. What brings you to our cave home?
Yeah! the youngest, a female, cries, swimming up beside Irrigo. I'm Orbis...what's up?
You blink. They don't seem to be an immediate threat, so you chance a conversation.
"I'm exploring Dracogrex," you say quickly, remaining tense and alert. "You're the sea serpents?"
Yes, Irrigo says proudly. Amaryllis got three of us, and stopped right there. Who can blame her, the snake laughs, and Orbis laughs with him.
Now we can just relax, and mess with tourists! she exclaims, an evil glint in her yellow eye.
The third serpent, Lucrinus, who has yet to speak, clears his throat. I suggest, he says in a low, rasping voice, that we decide whether or not it's worth 'messing' with this tourist, or if we should just let it go unscathed.
You jump, and begin to swim away. "N-n-no," you say nervously, "that's okay. You d-don't have to pay any attention to me.... I'll...just...go...!" You kick furiously with your flippers, leaving three cackling serpents behind you. Returning to the signpost, you vow never to return to that general area ever, ever again.
