You decide to go meet Swiftdive. His trail leads off to your right, so you turn and begin to follow it, wondering what sort of creature you'll find. His name sounds like he'd be best suited for the ocean realm, but, then again, you can dive in the air....
Shrugging, you figure that Amaryllis knows best, and follow the path. It winds along for quite some time, but you finally reach a wide, curved platform. There are several perches and nests there, but the main attraction is a large, winged lion sitting quietly in the middle of the area.
The lion cocks its head, and growls questioningly. It doesn't look like it wants to harm you just yet, so you step forward slightly. "Are you Swiftdive?" you ask. "I was exploring Dracogrex and thought that I'd like to meet you."
Swiftdive stands up, glances at you one more time with shy eyes, and leaps into the air, beating his wings. He does a little mid-air flip, and spirals off the platform and off into the clouds.
Surprised at the lion's sudden departure, you turn to leave, when you notice a plaque by the platform. You read.
Swiftdive is a beautiful example of a winged lion. He is very smart and strong, but he is also twice as shy. He rarely sticks around long when visitors come, and he never, ever talks. You're lucky if you got a decent glimpse of him; that means you don't bother him as much as others.
Well, that was a plus, you think, turning around. At least you didn't bother him as much. Shrugging again, you head back to the signpost to keep exploring.
