1

1

tu

Mississauga Canoe Club / Flexogan

Rumour has it that the crew will "Flex" its muscles again at 911

2

2

z

Wongs Dragon Boat Club - Dragonslayers

Although their bid for a perfect season ended on their home waters at the hands of the GTDBC Seniors team, this year has been yet another strong one for this powerhouse crew.

3

3

tu

Huron K&MC

Apparently not racing at GWN as Huron.  However we may see an awfully similar reincarnation in the form of the GWN Premier Mixed sometime in the future.

4

4

z

Scotia Beach

If our #1 seed doesn't show at 911, this crew will once again be the favourite to win the regatta.  Let's hope they manage to get a more favourable lane this time around.

5

5

z

Imperial Dragons

It looks like this will be the first year the Imps will fail to win a championship of any kind. Rumour has it they will be one of the GTDBC entries at the Nationals in Montreal.

6

6

z

Mayfair Predators

Won the Summer Sizzler over a very weak field. Let's see if they can recreate the same 911 magic this year.

7

7

y

X-Paddling Collective

Word has it that this crew is using this season as a training program for the 2005 Club Crew Championships.

8

8

z

Cascades Canoe Club

Looks like TIDBRF was the last race for this strong crew.  Too bad, we wanted to see them test their mettle against the heavy hitters at least one more time at 911 or the Nationals.

9

10

p

Sudbury Chiropractic

With an average age of over 40, it is impressive to see the improvement in this crew this year. Congrats on winning your home regatta!

10

9

tu

Bytown Paddlers

Since our last update, this crew finished second to our #9 seed at Sudbury

11

11

z

Hammerheads

This crew won Port Dover despite dropping a race to an unranked opponent. But expect the full crew and their A game when they hit the waters at 911.

12

12

z

Verdun Team Adrenaline

These guys finished a spot off the podium at their home regatta. Look for them to do some damage at 911.

13

13

z

Big Fish Interactive

Raced to a second conseuctive 3rd place finish at Sudbury this year.  We'll see if they can improve on last year's 25th place finish at GWN.

14

14

tu

RBC Royal Dragons

Already done for the season, it will be tough for this crew to maintain this lofty position after GWN, Stratford and the Nationals are over.

15

15

tu

Tempest

Won a watered down Waterloo event and finished 5th at Summer Sensation. Nothing to get excited about but nothing to push them down either. Let's see how this crew fares at 911.

16

16

y

Piranhas Dragon Boat Club

A disappointing 7th place finish behind our #28 seed was quite disappointing at Summer Sensation, perhaps they should use someone other than their coach to drum.

17

17

tu

Blades

An 8th place finish out of dreaded lane 1 at Summer Sensation is not a bad accomplishment. Best wishes in getting a better lane for your final at 911.

18

18

tu

Thrusting Mojos

9th at Summer Sensation not bad but not all that great either.

19

19

tu

Hanalei

Not a peep since TIDBRF. We'll be watching your 911 results with great interest

20

23

tu

Wongs Dragon Boat Club - Immortal Dragons

9th at Montreal was a little better than we expected from the Wong's B team. But losing to our #33 ranked squad at London was worse than what we expected.

21

20

tu

BMO Group Financier

8th at Montreal was a decent performance for the better BMO

22

28

z

Action Sport Physio

A strong 6th place finish in Montreal is certainly nothing to sneeze at and deserves a bump up the rankings.

23

21

tu

Mofos

17th at Montreal and 10th at Summer Sensation leads to little movement on the rankings. You have to beat those above you to move up.

24

25

tu

BMO Investorline First Dragons

Looks like the First Dragons are done for the season as they aren't scheduled for any of the remaining regattas

25

26

tu

Rentshield Waterdragons

Finished 2nd in the Summer Sizzler behind our #6 seed. We'll see if this crew can repeat it’s A-division appearance at 911 this year

26

27

tu

CIBC

No racing for this crew since TIDBRF.  Not sure if the CIBC crew listed at 911 is the same one.

27

29

tu

Hawaii Five-O

A repeat 4th in Sudbury keeps these guys on even keel with the rest. But since they are not registered for 911, it doesn't look like they will be able to hold onto this spot for long.

28

-

z

Jetstart

A surprise 6th at the expense of our #16 seed definitely made us take notice. But 911 will show us if this was a flash in the pan or a permanent change.

29

33

z

Gators

This crew convincingly won the London Dragon Boat Festival over our #20 and #30 seeds.

30

30

tu

Toronto Area Dragons

Came in second at the London Dragon Boat Festival. 911 appears to be their only big race of the year.  We'll be interested to see how they stack up against some of the big guns

31

34

tu

Pineridge A

Finished 12th at Pickering and will be racing for the national junior title in Montreal later this year as Ridge Racing.

32

35

p

UofT University College Waterdragons

Finished 4th at Waterloo. But this crew's success at the University level garnered them a spot at the World University Championships in China later this year.  Good Luck!

33

32

y

Asian Dragons

Finished well back of the pack at Montreal and gets bumped back a few spots in the process

34

31

y

Golden Plate Warriors

Finished tenth in a weak Waterloo field. This crew is listed to compete at 911 so we will see if they can bounce back with a good result there.

35

-

z

St. Joseph's Saints

This strong up and coming crew finished 3rd in the Summer Sizzler and 12th in TIDBRF - Community. Their performance at 911 will show whether they belong here or not.
