The stairs from Starlighter's home look dusty and unused. As you ascend the stairs, you caught fragments of decayed leaves that littered the steps. Torches align the walls of the staircase which you noticed that it was huge enough for the dragon you have seen. Stepping out of the staricase, you shielded your eyes from the brightness of the sun that glimmered at you. The rays shined your path ahead of you. Seeing the sun made you happy to make your feet feel firm land once more and not the bubble that had captured you and placed you underwater. Adjusting your eyes to this new place, birds chirped and sang their songs among the trees. Birds? Trees? Rubbing your eyes, you found yourself in the middle of a living forest. Dewed covered moss clinged themselves to aged trees where their bark begin to peel. The forest floor was covered with rotting leaves that was soon vanish among the new fallen leaves. Taking a step, your breathe echoes through the forest and a feather floats down on your shoulder as a frightened bird flies away from fear. What was coming? A branch snaps behind you but when you flung yourself around, there was nothing left except falling leaves, a trail from where the branch came from. Your eyes widen with fear as it grows silent. The birds have stopped their songs and returned to their nests with peeping eyes looking around. What was that? Fear lurked aroud you and you took a step back as a stick drops at your feet. Your heart beats louder as it beasts against your rib cage. Craning your neck upwards, you were stared by a creature that hide its appearance in the shadows of the leaves and the branch that it hanged from. Peach eyes glare down at you and silence revolves around you.
"What brings thee into thy territory?"
The creature speaks in the language of Olde English. It eyes never leave you but jumps down the branch it stood with lightning speed that only made you see a blur of brown. There the creature snarls at you as its fur on its back rises with anger. Patches of fur cover his body and his ears rests on the back of his head, flatten. It shined its tiny teeth and bared his talons, ready to attack.
"Thee have no right to hath entry to thy forest. Ye should leave before I make thee leave."
The creature advances towards you as you back away from the creature. Soon you bumped into a tree and felt the bark poking into your back. There was however no way out of this perdicament. It growls before leaping at you with outstretched claws and ready to swipe at you. Sheilding your face with your arms, you expected to feels cold talons scraping at your skin but something stopped him from doing so. A green dragon was holding the dragon from the neck with his teeth. The brown creature tries laying swipes on you from where he was held but proved useless. Silence then calmed the creature as he was placed on the ground. Miracoulsly, he just sat there instead of trying to make dinner out of you.
"I am sorry Kyuka has caused trouble. He is my guardian and is overprotective of this forest."
You could then see why this green dragon looks like Starlighter and best fits as her twin. Regaining yourself the dragon smiles at you and walks into a path that was blind to you when you first arrived here.
"Follow me, human."
Kyuka looks at you and then scurries over to the dragon and aboards his back. Being left alone for awhile, you reluclantly follow the dragon. The path grew newer and newer as you continue to walk upon it. The trees were much greener and the bushes that lined the path had blooming flowers with dew on every petal. A butterfly flitters pass you and lands on a flower as it sucks up the sweet nectar. Continuing on, you see where the dragon have lead you to. Two beams of trunk grew side by side. Leaves were new which gave proof that these trees were old. The dragon stops at the entrance made with a pair of oak doors, the entrance much like a castle's.
"My name is Xion, son of Quentin and Ditonla. In order to get here, you must have met my sister, Starlighter."
His voice booms loudly in the forest as he opens the doors to his home. Kyuka hops off his back and scurries up the stairs inside. Xion climbs the stairs, a signal for you to follow him. The meadow that laid before the trees had a patch of colorful flowers that seemed to reflect at the base of the trees. Your steps became louder as you stepped onto a stone path that lead to the entrance. Lanterns hung in mid air which surprises you because it wasn't supported by anything. Not a pole nor rope. You dash after the dragon up the wooden sprialed staricase. Each hollow step was echoed and matched the dragon's steps that was above you. Skipping steps made you catch up with the dragon. His tail drags along the stair before evacuating the staircase into a library. Piles of books cluttered the room while shelves were crammed with them. Opened books laid on the floor before a stoned fire place that crackles as it feeds on the logs of wood.
"Home sweet home."
"You are unlike your sister." You blurted out.
"Yes. She is the one that enjoys the ocean while I am a land lover. Starlighter and myself may look alike but we still have our differences to consider."
Xion walks up to the fireplace and puts it out with a weak waterspout and then places the book that was on the floor into its place on the shelf.
"I have read every book in this library about the outside world. The books and its facts never cease to amaze me."
You could tell that the Creme was sad by the way he would just stare at an object and then returned speaking to you.
"I know you must be bored of me and such. You leave through that fireplace." The Creme cocks his head towards the fireplace and brushes past you up another staircase, probably to his sleeping chamber. Kyuka was quiet all the while but speaks up.
"Ye should not worry for Xion much. Thee have lost many siblings among a destrcution. It hath taken many lives. Thee has found his love, Sunleaf when thee found out."
The creature speaks no more as he hurries after the dragon and left you alone in the library. Staring at the fireplace, nothing seemed to happen for awhile. Not an erie glow nor fire that seeks for your blood. You frowned as nothing happened but a loud bang came from it as it made a dark swirling portal. Colors blended to it like a whirlpool as you walk up to it. Reaching a hand out, it quivered with fright as you touch it. A shiver ran through your spine as it icy touch covered your body. Pulling your hand away, you could see that your fingertips were slowly vanishing and so was the rest of your hand. You shook your hand in protest and to rid of it but it never faded but continues to grow. It eats away at your whole arm and up to your shoulders. Backing away from the fireplace, Kyuka rams into you. When he comes downstairs to see if you have left, you never hear his soft paws lightly coming downstairs. You tumbled into the warp hole and vanish.
