During training in the hyperbaulic time chamber...Gohan begins yelling at his father to stop taking it easy on him and fight. Goku tells him to use the memory of loss to aid the transformation. Gohan finally becomes Super Saiyan in the time chamber.

Gohan knows he has hidden powers within him but does not wish to release the power in fear of destroying the Earth. This power entrigues Cell who does his best to really enrage Gohan and finally does after destroying Android 16....Gohan releases his power and eventually kills the evil android.
