1. Here's a pencil-and-colored-pencil drawing I did of my dog Split. She was an Australian Shepherd mix with a dash of Dalmatian and wolf thrown in. Her name was Split because exactly half of her face was white, and the other half was black. (Aren't my parents clever?) We got her when I was two and she was one, so I lived my entire life with this dog. She recently (late July 2000) had to be put to sleep because of a heart condition. She was truly, truly a good dog.

2. ::sigh:: A drawing I made with metallic pens of the once-love-of-my-life, Joshua. It kind of sucks when you fall in love utterly with someone and are ready to spend the rest of your life with them, and then you discover they've been cheating on you behind your back and talking trash about you all the while. Love sucks, ne?
