Ext. Underneath Bridge; day.

[A man is under a bridge, seeming as if he is waiting for someone. He has a box sitting next to him. Another man walks under the bridge; he is dressed all in black with a black cape. A hood covers his face. He walks up to the man, stops and talks to the man in another language.]

Dunta dei o? (Do you have it?)

Deplados. (Depends.)

Deplados om wheti? (Depends on what?)

Om happa gud yur meneros arco anj happa berg yur ploketbolk es. (On how good your manners are and how big your pocketbook is.) [He lets out a chuckle]

[Stops speaking Penarian] Look I don’t have time for this; here, I’ll give you 20,000. Take or leave it.

Deal. Here you go. [He hands Jaden the box] Have fun.

Thanks. I appreciate it. Farewell. [He starts to walk away and notices a man standing at the end of the underneath road. He turns around and sees another man standing at the other end]

I got a bad feeling about this.

You’re not going anywhere, Jaden… the Black. Dark Lord Vega wants that weapon and your going to give it to us or we’ll kill you.

Then, I guess your going to have to kill me. [He pulls back his hood and pulls out two swords and stands ready to battle]

That won’t be a problem.

[He and the other bad guy pull out a couple of guns, and start firing at Jaden, but Jaden is too fast for them and he blocks every bullet they shoot, but one gets by his swords and grazes him on the scalp. He falls on the ground, blood is pouring out. The seller is killed in the crossfire.]

Get the box, hurry.

[The other bad guy runs as fast as he cans and grabs the box and starts running toward the other side of the underneath road. He and the other bad guy run up the steps and Jaden gets up and chases them to the top of the bridge. Jaden pulls out a gun and fires at them, he hits one in the leg and chest, the other looks back, but sees Jaden and continues to run. He escapes with the weapon.]

Damn it. [Jaden walks up to the injured man and talks to him] Where is he taking that weapon too? Tell me now you piece of scum!

I’ll never tell, I’d rather be dead than tell you.

I think you’re going to die in a few seconds— [The bad guy dies] I hate when I’m always right. [Jaden stands up and begins to walk away] {End of scene 1.}

Ext. Vega’s Headquarters: Outside, Day.

Two men are leading another man into the building and the two men have guns. They disappear inside the building.

Ext. Vega’s Headquarters: Inside.

Vega is sitting down at his desk, his bodyguard stands behind him, and there is a knock at the door.

Come in. [The door opens and the three men come in] I’ve been waiting for you, we need to talk.

Look I can explain, they used a truth serum on me. [Vega holds up his hand and looks mad]

Why must I hear these lies?

I’m not lying boss. Please, hear me out.

OK. Explain to me everything that happened.

[Takes a deep breath] I did exactly as you told me, ‘Take the bomb, plant it in the building, leave, and then blow the place to pieces.’ But when I got there, they knew who I was and attacked me. I was taken up to his office and he gave me a shot of truth serum. [Vega puts his hand up]

What did he ask you?

He asked what you were doing now. I told him that you were looking for the Penari Saber. Then he asked me where you were located these days, and I said I didn’t know the exact location…

[Cutting off Drake’s Father] I hope you didn’t tell him anything about the machine we developed. [Drake’s Father looks down, as if saying yes] You have betrayed me for the last time. [He pulls out a gun and shoots Drake’s Father in the chest. He motions to the two men to come over] I want you to go to his house and kill his family. [They leave and Vega motions to his bodyguard and he bends over] Go and destroy the building, I know you can pull it off.

Bodyguard
Yes, my lord. Before I leave what do you want me to do with the body.

Vega
Throw it in the fire. I don't want anyone to know about what just happened. [The body guard picks the body up and leaves the room. The phone next to Vega rings and he picks it up] Hello?

Bad Guy
Boss, we got it, but Jacob was killed. I think Jaden is dead; I shot him pretty good on the head.

Vega
You've done well, and I hope Jaden dies slowly from the wound, he needs to suffer. All that matters now is that we have the Penari Saber. Hurry and bring it to me. [He hangs up the phone and lets out an evil laugh] Now I will rule the world. {End of Scene 2}

Scene 3
Ext. City: Mid-afternoon.
[Jaden is walking through the town with a depressed look on his face]

Jaden
I can't believe I let him get away with the weapon. All hope is lost. [He looks up to the sky] Master, what should I do? I have failed you and now Vega is going to destroy life as we know it. Please send me a sign. [He looks down to the ground and continues walking]
