| ::Takeru is the youngest member of the Digidestined, and also Yamato's brother. He is a bit of a crybaby, but tries his hardest to act grown up. Yamato babies him more than he'd like, out of love, and Takeru feels smothered. | ::Hikari was going to go to summer camp along with Taichi-her older brother-but got sick and couldn't go. She plays a huge role near the ending of 01 and seems to be psychically connected to Digiworld. | ::The Story:: ::One summer, these first eight children were sent off to summer camp by their parents. It had been an unusual summer so far, what with the weather being disruptive and strange; rain in the Sahara, heat waves in the Alps, floods in Minnesota, things like that; and, all of a sudden, it starts to snow. Our young friends, who are sepaparated form the rest of the campers witness an Aurora Borealis over the campgrounds and suddenly, small metal devices float above their heads, they grab them and are transported to another world: The Digital World:: ::As soon as they arrive, strange small creatures begin following them around and growing to fight off opponents. It seems that the children alone have the power to make these strange beings evolve and change into bigger and more fierce monsters. Soon, they find out from a small aged man named Gennai that they are the legendary Digidestined, protectors and preservers of the Digital World. More amazing is the fact that they aren't the only ones; still on earth is the last member of the current Digidestined, the ninth Chosen One.:: ::Although their adventures had been perilous before, they only just begin with the return to Odaiba, Japan...:: ::Do you have a better explanation for all of the events up to the digidestineds' return to Odaiba?
