Cat Scans!

A cat that trusts you will sit on the scanner, if you act like you don't want it to....

Ok, I am the first to admit that I am obsessed with cats. Laugh all you like. I am fond of them. They are adorable, loveable, and photogenic, as well. Here are photos of my feline circus.

Please remember, my images are copyrighted, and not to be used for any reason without my permission. If you want them, please email me and ask first.

Maggie the Magnificent

Bowlcat

Felis domesticus var. bellicosis

"The warlike cat."
I found Maggie in a country grocery store parking lot. She was about 6 months old, had recently had kittens, and had apparently been dumped there by whoever did not want her. I was not able to find out her origins or what happened to the kittens.

She walked out from under a display table of bedding flowers outside the store, looking very depressed. I said, "What are you doing here, kitty?" and she looked me briefly in the eyes and walked under another table. I crawled down and picked her up; she put her head on my shoulder, and I was hooked.

Paperweight cat

A store employee saw me holding her, and said, "Aw, isn't that nice." I replied, "Yes, it is very nice." Then he said, "That cat has been around here for about three days. You know...you could take that home with you." "I am thinking about doing just that," I replied.

I put the skinny little kitty in the car with the dog, where she promptly went "HISS! HISS! HISS! HISS! HISS!" and then she seemed to realize that the dog was not going to bother her. She calmly climbed up on the dashboard and stretched out, and I drove home with her lying up there. She has been mine ever since. She now is quite a meaty kitty and weighs about 16 lbs. She got named Maggie the first time I saw her raise her tail in the air to greet me, and I said, "That's MAGNIFICENT!" Her tail is amazing...she talks with it. She caresses people with it like a big feather. We call her tail language "Plumish".

It's the CAT'S PAJAMAS!
Ashmo and Maggie
Maggie thinks this is fun.

The first time I took her to the vet, he burst out laughing and said, "This kitty has been playing in the paint can!" It's true she has a clownlike personality to go with the face...she provides us with more laughs than any cat I have ever known. She loves containers and will try to get into whatever box is open. She also thinks it is great fun to beat the living crap out of all the other felines in the household. We don't appreciate that, but she is still a GREAT and totally unique cat. As you can see by the photos.

Every Monday when the wastebasket near the webcam is emptied, Maggie hops in for a little snooze.
Trash Kitty.

Maggie is a container cat. She hops into every open box or avaiable bag.

Cute toes, huh?
On with the kittyporn tour!
