We asked what you do with your old wedding band once you are divorced. We were relatively kind spouses this week. We discussed Halloween. We talked about our dishes, but not about doing them. Pandora is still asking if the gum loses its flavor on the bedpost. Well, I think it probably starts to taste like the bedpost, don't you?
As usual, we all dicussed food this week. I have noted that we dicuss food about eight times more frequently than we discuss sex. Could it be we have more interest in food than sex? I know what is in my frig is more exciting than my sex life. I can be celibate, quit having sex, but I never have to quit having food.
Someone touched on a subject I have long been tempted to survey. "What is your favorite way to avoid having sex?" I know mine, food! I would feed Dildo (that is my ex-husband's nickname) as much as I could get him to eat. Once he was a beached whale in the couch, he would fall asleep and I could sneak up to bed and fall asleep, or pretend when I couldn't.
Boy, pretend when I couldn't...how many of us do that in bed?
I think men have their priorities all screwed up. I mean, isn't a chocolate mousse more orgasmic than most sex you have had in your life? I don't mean to say that there aren't those of you out there who have wonderful sex. You are lucky. The rest of us will eat the mousse.
I really do stand in awe of those of you have the time to read and play cards. I wish I did. Between redoing this house, the kids, the extreme work schedule, I am so exhausted that I find falling asleep in front of the TV the only entertainment I can cope with. I could use to study up on time management, if I can find the time.
I am SO relieved that most of you will do nearly anything to avoid cleaning house. I avoid it till I can smell it, then I gotta get after it. I think all of us need to have more help around the house. My 9 y/o has turned into the neat freak of the family and cleans a clean room to say she cleaned it. She does not feel she should clean the messes of others, however so the rest of the place is like always. My house was better till I decided that I needed to clean out closets and what came out will not go back in now. I think I need to go for another round of pitching into the Goodwill bag. Do you all ever clean with a trash can?
The one news item that took the wind out of my sails, was the news about Fur. I don't know her well, but what I do know, I like. I felt so terrible for her. She lost her husband. Now she has lost her home. I hear she is being very strong and I don't know where she finds that strength. Please remember her in your prayers. She is trying to get another home, at this point, which is great. She is going to need EVERYTHING as most of what she had was lost. Her clothing was totalled. She is short of computer equipment and all that she needs to work as an MT. This is going to be very hard as I am sure that her new home will take what resources she has.
I mention this about Fur because I know what a strong, giving, caring community of people we are. If you have something that you can donate to the good of her cause, please email me, the link is below. I have already jumped on this bandwagon and hope that others will join me. We are nearing the Christmas season and it will warm my holiday heart to know that I gave to another in a time of need.
Happy Halloween to you all. Hope there are some of those candy bars left for the trick or treaters....
