Finally! A 5th Pokemon Movie! In this fifth installment of the Pokemon series, Ash and Pikachu travel to Alto Mare, a mysterious city on water. There they meet two new Pokemon, a brother/sister pair named Latias and Latios who guard a treasure called the Droplet of the Heart, But when the city is accidentally flooded, the Droplet is in danger of being stolen.

Premise

Ash and Pikachu travel to the Water Capital of the world, Alto Mare, where they meet two new Pokemons, the brother/sister pair of birds called Latias and Latios who protect a treasure called the Droplet of the Heart, which is the target of a pair of thieves, Zanna and Rion. As the town gets accidentally flooded, the Droplet becomes endangered... can Ash save the day?

This is the fifth feature film in the Pokemon series, based on the popular Japanese animated TV series. This film follows Pokemon 4Ever and is followed by 'Pokemon 2003: Advance Generation', which is scheduled to be released in Japan on July 19th, 2003 (you can find out more about that film at the official site). In early 2002, Miramax picked up the U.S. rights to the fourth and fifth film, but it's unknown if they will also pick up the rights to the sixth film.
