The paths extend in eight directions, in the shape of a star. In the center is a post with signs nailed to it. Only five of the beaten paths are marked.
The path extending to the west is marked Sweetwater River.
The path extending north is the way you came. It is marked "Lake of Dreams".
The path extending east is marked Gathering Fields & Orchards.
The southeastern path lies invitingly open, marked with the lone word Kinsellan.
The path extending further south is marked "Lone Tree Cliff". A few yards down it splits three ways: one going further south, one heading west, and one heading east.
There is one other place you can see to go, and that is an opening in the trees.
You see a small nest off nestled in a low alcove of a tree, with a note. Written on it are two words: Featherdrake and Featherdragon. Inside the nest is a small white egg and a larger brown egg mottled gold.
As you approach the nest, a small creature flies up to your face and scolds you loudly.
"Get back!" it screeches. "Lye'Sandre I am, my charge I will gaurd!"
Lye'Sandre scratches you across the nose with a front claw. You back away.
Don't mind Lye'Sandre, a voice says. From fruther inside the nest you see a lizard-like creature stretching inside the nest.
N'renakazi, she says. 'She of the chameleon'. A Bark Featherdrake.
She curls around the remaining egg and glares at Lye'Sandre.
You know better than to attack the travelers.
"Sorry am I," she says, apologizing to you.
That's better. Run along now, hume'.
