BENJI, THE LITTLE WHITE PUPPY

My name is Benjo. The dogs of my breed are called maltese. We have long white fur and black eyes. Im born two years ago in slovakia.

There have been a lot of puppies and my lovely mom. Soon the keeper got enough of us and he packed us into a small box. It´s been realy hard to breath in there. He putted this box to the trunk of his car and brought us to austria to a zoo shop.

He got a lot of money for us. At the shop they putted us to very small cages. It smelled very bad there. The cage been full of our mess because noone took us out for a walk our fur been totaly messed up. Some of my friends got a bad bellyache because of the food we got. We haven´t been used to eat ourself because we still got milk from our mom before we been brought away..

If someone came by we all began to wine and bark. The people stoped and been sorry for us. Some of them bought one of my friends. So the days passed by and the weekend came. It got quiet there and noone to see anymore. I´ve been sitting all alone in my jail there and i got bored and been scared. Than i decided to wait but it took to long. I´ve been hungry and thursty and no clean place anymore to sleep. So i started wining and later began to howl and to scream but noone came.

After two long days someone came again the weekend been over and the shop opend again. The first persons this morning should get my new family. I didnt know that yet at this time. I tried to bef riendly and waved with my small dirty tail as nice a si could. The woman looked at me compassionately and showed me to her husband. He said he has to think about it and than they left me. My heart nearly broke of all the sadness inside of me.

I laydown in a corner of the cage and sleeped. The retailer woke me up again soon because it´s been monday and thats the day they cleaned the cages. All the mess came out and i got some food and fresh water. After i drank and had my food i lay down again and sleeped. I dreamed about my mom and a nice home.

Next morning the shop opened again and who do u think came in first?

The couple that been that sorry for me the day before. The woman had persuaded her husband to buy me. They paid a lot of money for me to free me. I´ve been that happy to come out of there.

The woman took me on her arms although i´ve been that dirty and smelly. I licked her face and she hugged me. Than the man carried me out of the shop. They brought me to their car. There i seddled down on the knees of the man and watched out of the window while we drove.

At the end of the journey they took ,e to their home and showed me all there. After i had a bath and a visit at the vet i´ve been allowed to sleep at their bed the first night.

I´ve been realy lucky and happy that i found a that great new home where they are that nice and careing to me and where they love me.
