A stranded man sits alone in the darkness. His heart pounds and his head throbs as he faces one of his worst fears.
He opens his eyes to watch his engine steam and wonders how he is going to be saved out here in this vast nothingness miles from nowhere and days from anywhere. Hours later off in the distance he sees lights but they did not come any closer they just sat there teasing and taunting him with hope of a rescue. He gets out of his car and begins to wave, then screaming, and finally yelling, but the lights just sat there. After twenty minutes of signaling he finally gives up his dauntless task. Tired and hungry he sits back down in his car and eats a bag of chips he bought the day before and takes a nap. He awakes some hours later to find it was still dark, he thought it should surely be light by now. He was extremely thirsty and had only a flat bottle of soda but it was better than nothing he surmised. He looked to see if the lights were still there, they were, but now new lights began to appear, it seemed to be the flashing lights of police cars. Why do they not see me, he questioned? Maybe it was to dark, so he flipped on his lights hoping that would help, and so he waited a while longer. An hour went by and still no one had come to his rescue. He then decided to walk to them. He grabbed his soda and started off. The overwhelming heat slowed down his pace after a few miles, so he took a break. I am getting to damn old for this, he said to himself, and took a big drink of his soda and went on. The lights steadily grew closer with every step he took. It seemed like hours had passed but it was still dark, this puzzled him, but he just figured that there was some kind of logical explanation for it. He looked back to see the tail light of his car far in the back ground, he turned around to see the lights growing brighter and from his guess he did not have too much further to go. He started to see the outline of the vehicles, three of them a car, a cop, and what appeared to be an ambulance. He could also barely see the faint outline of people moving franticly about. He stumbled onward, moving slowly as to accommodate the selling blisters on his feet. About two miles from the lights he look and the car and saw that it was very much like his own, but he shook it off and kept walking. Finally reaching his destination he walked up to the officer who walked right past him as thought he did not even see him. Then he walked up to the ambulance driver and he did not even acknowledge his existence. Then he walked up to the familiar looking car and glanced inside to see everything covered in blood, as he looked down he saw a gun lying on the ground just outside of the car. Everyone still was walking around not saying a word to him, or even noticing him for that matter. Out of curiosity he walked over to the back of the ambulance and opened it up. There he saw a body lying under a blood covered white sheet. He gets into the back and sits on the little chair. Slowly he pulls back the sheet from the corps, to reveal his own face staring back at him, dripping with blood from the gaping wound on the side of his head.
He Screams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
