The Key

A Confused young man living in a prison in his own head. Trapped by an over zealous delusion of perfection. Always giving, but feels low when he ask for something for his own gain or happiness. His life passes by as he sits there in his cell to scared to enjoy it. He wants to break free from his chains of torment, but he stalls for he is unsure of what type of man he will become. He can see happiness beyond the bars of his cold dark cell, it is a woman of great beauty, a vision of loveliness, with long sandy hair and soft green eyes. She stands there, beckoning him to realize his potential and selfworth, so he can release him self from his own personal hell in his mind. She can only give him advice and encouragement for she knows only he can set himself free from his agony. He feels her words soaking through his entire body, absorbing everything like a dry sponge dropped into the open sea. He feels a new overwhelming strength surging through his mind, he feels his emotional restraints fall and his soul feels the warmth of the beauty that stands before him. She was engulfed in a rainbow of light brighter than the sun itself, but it did not blind him but it enticed him to look more intently, and he could finally see the world as a God intended him to not the evil place he once saw it as. It all became clearer as he realized that he had the key to his sanity all along, he only had to let go of his fears and self loathing. He will never forget the sense of hope and clarity she invoked with her words. Freedom, he has waited for it all his life and now his wait is over.
