The Dragon Project End of
Year
2000 Report.

- On 1st February this year a fund raising event was held
in aid of the Children at the Cancer Unit at the RVI. The Dragon
Project held a banquet at the Palace Garden Restaurant in Stowell
Street which was attend by the Deputy Lord Major of Newcastle,
Councilor Peter Thompson and the Leader of Newcastle City Council and
Chair of Grainger Town, Partnership Tony Flynn.
More than 200 people attended the evening and raised approximately £3,000
for charity. Our thanks to all who contributed and helped us raise this
money for a very worth while cause (Media Coverage on the Journal).
- Through The Dragon Project, the leading North East law firm Ward
Hadaway has donated 15 personal computers free of charge to The
North East Chinese Association to the Community (Media Coverage on
the Journal and the Zoneast May 2000 issue)
- During the year we have:- In our first year of the Dragon Project
we have succeeded in reaching high statistics in diversifying the
Chinese community tradition from catering
