THE SHOW
The Slayers is a Japanese anime series about a young sorceress named Lina Inverse and the crazy adventures she and her friends have. They fight monsters and solve mysteries while trying to find a place to eat. The show itself is a combo of many things like action, adventure, slapstick, fantasy, and romance, just to name a few.

Lina Inverse
Height: 5'4"	Age: 16 (at the begining of NEXT)

Lina is the main character of the series. She's a master of magic and all things arcane (and she's pretty good with hand-to-hand combat to boot) Lina is a master of black and Shamanist magic. (She also dabbles a little in white magic, too) Lina's favorite spells are Fireball and the Dragon Slave (the most powerful spell in black magic) Lina can even tap power from the Lord of Nightmares in order to cast the Giga Slave (even stronger than the Dragon Slave) Also, when she uses the Demon Blood talismans (which she bought from Xelloss), she can cast the Ragna Blade.
This fiery young girl also loves to eat. She can put a restaurant out of business in one meal. Lina has a fiery temper to match her personality and hair. She is supposedly very flat chested, but don't let her hear you unless you want to be at the wrong end of a Dil Brando. She's also known as the Bandit Killer, Dragon Spooker, Dra Mata, and someone not even a dragon would mess with. She makes a living by stealing from bandits. Her motto is "Bandits have no rights!"

Gourry Gabriev

Lina's "Protector" and the wielder of the sword of light, Gournova. In Slayers Try he is able to fire out huge beams from this sword. This VERY dense swordsman follows Lina everywhere and is as loyal as a puppy, except that a puppy is smarter. However, he has never lost a swordfight. Some believe that he is part elf, but it has never been proven. ^_^*. Gourry is one of the main characters in the series. He gets mixed up with Lina in the first episode when Lina gets ambushed by bandits. He also descends from a long line of swordsmen. Gourry, throughout the series, has Lina explain everything(He thought a fianceé was a pickle).
