Currently I am awaiting the arrival of Karma's NEW tank!! It's a 100 gallon Reptarium. This will be a 4 wall screened enclosure, and large, as well! I'll update this site when I get it in!
The old 55 gallon tank shown above will soon be the home of my Flying gecko, Icarus. See updates soon!
1/2003- UPDATED: I know I lost interest in this, my veiled chameleon will soon be 4 years old, and I figured I should probably at least show off pictures of his new enclosure!

Picture right after I moved to Maryland. I had to toss the hanging pothos plant and ficus tree (no room in the move, and the ficus was looking dingy). Right now there's a pothos on the bottom of the cage, and after this picture was taken, another hanging again from the top. There is a nice 3-light system on the top. A UV light, an infrared light, and an incandecent reptile bulb.
For a water drip system, I poked a hole in the bottom of a bottle of water with just a single needle. It provides a fairly steady amount of water to come through. The water drips into the potted plants on the bottom, although I also have a plastic bottom for the 100 gallon reptarium in case it gets on the floor. Also, I use a plastic cup to put crickets and mealworms inside, and attach it to a branch in the cage using just a clothespin. It seems to work and gets the job done.
The cage is misted two or three times daily, as well as a moist towel hung on the side of it to keep the humidity up. These are semi-desert animals, but where they are located is near the mountains where there is a mist every morning.

Sad to say, the flying gecko finally passed away 1/2003... After the 6 hour drive, he wasn't doing well... I took him back to NY to see his regular vet, and after a week he was eating better, drinking, etc. Well, moving back to MD again, did it in for him and he died... RIP little Icarus... you were only about 5 years old at most..
