FAQ

Is that a swastika on the right-hand corner of your page's banner?: Well yes it is.  The swastika is a very ancient symbol and is known to almost every religion on the face of the Earth.  You might find it on a shrine to Ganesh, or within a Shinto temple.  The Sun-Wheel predated NAZIsm and we as Heathens think that it should be re-hallowed and used for our rites.
We call this Sun-Wheel variation the Álfröðull [Álfraudull] or "elf-sun" or also Völund's Hammer [You may note that it is composed of  whirling "hammers"] and use it to signify the craftiness and art of the
Elves.

How do you define Heathen?: We define the word Heathen to mean a polytheistic person who lives by the Hávamál and is not a Christian, Muslim, or a Jew. It of course orginaly meant one who dwelt upon the Heath --- though history makes this use of thee word inapplicable.  Who now dwells in a Heath? I'm sure there might be a few but most Heathens I am aware of reside in small urben centers.  Of course it like Pagan was used as a means of derision but is useful as a distinction nonetheless.

There seems to be a slight Hindu influence upon your views?: No doubt.  This is intended as we think that the Rig-Veda and Eddas both have something to offer.  This is not say that we Drakür are Hindus, hardly but don't be shocked if you see a hint India in what we do.

Fordonism, as it appears in the Draküras-Wita seems to have some concepts not found within the rest of Heathendom.  Such as Tairlok.  Why: One of the prime tenets of Fordonism is if you're not going to do something new then don't bother doing anything at all.  Why bother founding a philophy/religion if you are not going to do something new with it after all.  There are a number of differing views upon what exactly Heathenry is this is simply ours.

You seem to like to make things up?: Well that all depends on what you mean by "make things up".  If you mean to imply lie, then No any changes we make are always stated outright usually with why We are doing so.  We believe in engaging the creative impulse --- clearly our tribe needs to put its own personal spin upon everything be it food clothing, language or its not really a tribe.  It would be accurate to say we are using a tribal model as an armchair to build our community.

Okay judging by things like the Phoenix Project... ect.  Have you a big "SciFi" influence?: Yes and we do not apologize for this.  It is our hope that this comes out truth be told.  Science and religion deserve to be on equal footing.  Also science fiction is highly effective as a valid place for exploring ideas and concepts.  One episode of TOS [Star Trek] made the Phoenix Project a reality: Space Seed -- the episode with Khan Noonian Singh a genetically engineered man was the genesis of where We started from.
