THE PHOENIX PROJECT

  Our forebears understood that the ability to use the tools before them could give them an advantage be it in wrighting the best ships to sail the sea that allowed them to come to the shores of Vinland hundreds of years before Columbus, or in developing steel for a keen sword.  Those who went before had a rough and practical understanding of science.  We as modern Heathens should as well for the One-Eyed is the Prime Innovator.

  Below you will find links to things of varying scientific matters.  Our interests are wide ranging.   Genetics and its application to both the curing of illness as well as the enhancement of the human species e.g. longer life-spans, better brain power and inherent strength is a prime goal of the Phoenix Project.  We are also interested in traveling the stars to seek out new worlds that we might one day colonize just as the Vikings of yore traveled the seas seeking new lands to settle in.

  Ask yourself, if you had the power to make the standard of living both more enjoyable and easier for you inheritors would you? One would hope that as a Heathen it is your desire to make your children's, and their own children's lives better.  To do this both brings joy to your tribe and increases the betterment of the world as a whole.

  Our first principle and moral is: To build a better Human thereby reduces pain and suffering. By following this world-view we cultivate both a more efficient world and one that better maintains its resources and doubles it ability to cope with disaster.
  

Goals of the Phoenix Project


1: The enhancement of ourselves and our offspring by means of genetics and or cybernetic technology.
    A: Increased life-spans beyond the normal Human average of ninety.  Shooting for at least two-hundred years.
    B: Better brain power and average IQ including photographic memory.
    C: Increased musculature and strength.
    D: Heightened senses, for example hearing akin to a cat's or sight like a bird-of-prey.

2: Space travel.  Earth regardless of our moral [read: environment] will one day come to an end that is simply the way of things.  It is foolish to keep our eggs [literally meaning the human genome] in one basket.  Human history shows only those who spread continue to exist therefore it is incumbent upon us to like the Vikings sail a new kind of sea that we might find a new world to prosper upon.

3: More easily replaceable food supplies.  This goal ties in with genetics and covers the better/safer production of both vegetables and livestock.

4: The study and understanding of PSI abilities within Humans including telepathy and telekinesis.
