Night Light

midnight stirs
clearing another long days throat,
as night, all knowing,
feels free to stalk
all yesterdays, busy as
the boldest tyrants
exploring latent holidays.
well-kept secrets and
deepest denials bathe helplessly
in a bright well focused light,
while guiltier guilts are
ressurected with every toss and turn,
once again tomorrow
will have me looking on
with troubled eyes, the color
of a thousand whys, and
a single worn out wish
for some much needed
peace of mind
