Rediscovery

"Did I do the right thing?"  Roger wondered to himself.  During his time in the Big O few weeks ago, the Big O was talking to all the other megadeus and robots, slowly awakening, raising from the ruins and the ocean.  The Big O convince them it's not time yet.  Roger could have destroy all the mechas then, but he didn't.  "When is it time?"  He wondered "For what?"  Roger is lost in his thoughts, as he sits in his bed.  A slow yet melodic sound of a piano can be heard from the living quarters.  Roger smiled, "Dorothy......"  He got out of bed and quickly dress himself for work.  "Must you always play like that?"  Roger complained.  Dorothy looks at him "It's the only way to wake you up, Roger."  She replied in her monotonous voice.  "Breakfast is ready"  The bulter announced (yeah, I forgot his name....).  Dorothy push back and got off the chair, she follow Roger to the tables in the dining room.  Just then the elevator door opens.  "Is Mr. Roger Smith here?"  A man wearing sunglasses walks in.  "That's me, what is it?"  Roger wipe his mouth with a napkin and stands up to welcome the guest in the living quarter.  "My employer requires your assistance."  The man said.  "Please have a seat.... please get some coffee for this gentleman."  Dorothy bowed and walks out into the kitchen.  "Our employer has a proposition for you, his name is Ken Parkman.  You might know him as the owner of the new club in the dome."  The man said.  "Of course, it is one of the most extravagant club in the dome."  Roger replied.  "Our employer need a singing star and for a few weeks, she refuse him, no matter the price, saying she is happy working where she is.  We need you to convince her, neogitate the price."  The man said.  "I will take the case, who is this star your employer is looking for?"  Roger asked.  "We don't know what she looks like, all we know is that her name is Dorothy and she lives in this area of town.  She was humming a small tone, apparently on her way back from the market. Our employer was on his way home inside the dome when he heard her.  He tried to convince her to change her career, but she told him to talk to her employer."  The man said "We try to locate her for weeks but we can't find her, there's no one name Dorothy within this area."  "I will see what I can do."  Roger said gravely.  "Thank you."  The man walks out of Roger's house.   "Why you didn't tell me about the incident?"  Roger demanded once Dorothy comes back in with the tea.  "I see the guest left, I better pour this away."  Dorothy said.  "Dorothy, come back here."  Roger said.  "Yes, Roger."  Dorothy said politely, but Roger can not help noticing she is walking slower than usual.  "Why didn't you take the job?  You can do that."  Roger asked.  "I....I don't know."  Dorothy said.  "I am not stopping you to move to another job once you pay up your debt."  Roger said, he wants to know what Dorothy is thinking.  Her debt is paid up months ago, yet she is still staying.  Roger has told her that few months ago.  Dorothy just look down on the ground when he was talking.  "Dorothy......"  Roger said "Are you sure you don't want to take this job?"  Dorothy looks down at her lap, her short, bright red hair cover her face.  "Do you really want me to leave, Roger?"  Dorothy asked in a low voice.  "Eh?"  Roger is surprised, he never thought about that before.  "Do you?"  Dorothy said, still looking down.  Roger is about to speak when Dorothy stands up suddenly "I understand, I will pack up my stuff tonight."  Dorothy ran to her room.  "Dorothy!"  Roger yelled and is about to run after her.  "Why am I running after her?"  He wondered to himself "Is it because I don't want her to leave???"  He thought to himself for a moment.  "No way."  He smiled and walks back to breakfast.   Roger sits down in his chair for lunch, he awaits Dorothy.  Dorothy walks out of her room few minutes later, he is wearing the green dress she wore when she first arrive.  "Goodbye Roger."  Dorothy said in a monotonous voice.  "Y...You are leaving?"  Roger is surprised.  "I will tell my new employer that you convince me to leave my last employer.  I just talk to him over the phone, he agrees to pay me 800 dollars a day."  Dorothy picks up her suitcase and left.  "Wait, Dorothy......"  Roger said.  "Yes, Roger?"  Dorothy said, she sounds a bit hopeful.  "W...Would you like to join us for lunch before you leave?"  Roger said.  "I will be fine, I don't need to eat."  Dorothy said, a bit disappointed, she walks onto the elevator and left.  Roger remains in silence.  "Take my lunch away, I am going out."  Roger said and walks towards the elevator.   "Here it is, Miss Dorothy."  The man in sunglasses said.  "Thank you."  Dorothy is now wearing the black dress Roger gave her on Heaven's Day.  "I see your employer has decide to let you go."  Ken Parker said.  Blond haired Ken Parker is a man in his late 30's.  "Yes,"  Dorothy said, a bit sad.  "I have heard a lot about you from your father.  With you at my disposal, I can control this town!"  Ken smiled.  Dorothy looks up as Ken laughed evilly.  Dorothy felt something touch the back of her neck, everything gone black.   "What?"  Roger said impatiently inside his car.  "Yes, Master Roger, it seems that Ken Parker has just gotten out of prison, he is a escaped fugitive.  For years, he has try to destroy Paradigm Corps."  The bulter said.  "I have got to get her back!"  Roger steps on the gas, now tracking Dorothy with a tracking device, placed withing her when she first need repair...........    Dorothy finds herself on a giant magnetic bed when she comes to.  "I see you woke up Miss Dorothy."  Ken Parker said.  His henchman are laughing.  "What are you planning to do with me?"  Dorothy asked.  "We are just about to finish up.... once we place this control chip in your head, everything is done."  Dorothy looks at her body, she feels lighter, her body has changed but it looks the same, the same red hair, the same figure... but something is different.  "As you notice, our scientist has work with your physique a bit.  Your internal parts is now made of a light titanium alloy and your external skin is made up of Silicon Oxide, you have a much higher resistance of heat, pressure, cold and other changes.  Now all we have to do is to insert this control chip....."  Ken Parker smiled, he walks closer and closer.  Dorothy tries to move, but the magnertic bed stops her from moving.  Ken pull her hair accessory open.  Suddenly a loud screeching sound is heard outside.  "What the.....?"  Ken looks up as a black car crashes into the room.  "Roger Smith!  What are you doing here?"  Ken asked.  "As her current employer, I can't let Dorothy work for you."  Roger steps out of the car.  "It's too late, Roger Smith!"  Ken said and put the chip within her.  "DOROTHY!"  Roger yelled.  Ken turns off the magnet and Dorothy stands up.  "Destroy Roger Smith."  Ken smiled evilly.  Dorothy charges towards him.  "She...She is faster than before!"  Roger realized as Dorothy hugs onto him.  "So Strong...."  Roger said, he can hear his spine cracking.  "I got to try this again....."  Roger stares into Dorothy's dark green eye.  Dorothy stops for a moment "Roger?"  Dorothy shakes her head and squeeze harder.  "Dorothy.... come back..."  Roger stares at her eye to eye.  "Ro...Roger?"  Dorothy's glare soften "Roger....." Dorothy smiled happily and fainted.  She has short circhited.  Roger pulls out her hair ornament and discard the memory chip. Onward to the Conclusion
