UNION HALL MARKET PLACE - IGM #1
TYPE OF IGM: Market Place to Buy and Sell different items.
ENTRIES PER DAY: Unlimited
MAJOR GOALS IN USE: Buying certain commodities whenever needed, and getting needed gold by selling excess items.
STRATEGY
This IGM is divided into two Main Areas... Buy and Sell. I leave it to your common sense to figure out which is applicable for each item discussed below. Also, remember, you can only conduct 4 transactions at a time before you get kicked out and have to re-enter the IGM.
1) Master Fights: This realm sometimes says that you are "too tired" when you go to fight Turgon in order to raise to another level. This seems to be random, and prevents you from going up levels. Using Option K, you can buy a new chance to fight Turgon. It's called Buy Extra Master Fight for Today. It says it only costs 10,000 gold, but for some reason, if you take just a small amount of gold in to purchase this extra fight, you'll find yourself at a Negative balance for deposit next time you go to the Bank. For that reason, I always take at least 50,000 gold in when I want to Buy a Master Fight.
2) Buying and Selling Kids: If you need more Kids, for whatever reason, you can purchase them under Option H for 20,000 gold. Unlike most things that you can sell back for HALF of what you paid, Kids only sell BACK for 5,000 gold, AND you lose 1 Charm point for every Kid you sell back.
3) Selling Gems: If you are low on Gold, especially just after killing the Dragon, you can sell Gems here with Option F and get 12,500 Gold for each.
4) Buying more Forest Fights: Sometimes you simply need some more fights, for whatever reason. Use Option M to do so, at the cost of only 300 Gold each. If you are desperate for gold, this becomes a small source of increased gold on the average if you are Level 3 or higher. Below that, you usually don't gain more than 300 gold per fight on the average; on the other hand, there may be other reasons you need more Forest Fights.
5) Selling Excess Strength Points: Because some of the other IGMs in this realm can give huge amounts of Strength, (500), if you find yourself in desperate need of gold, you might wish to SELL some of those points for 12,500 Gold per point using Option C in Selling.
There are probably many other ways to use the various Buy and Sell Options here, but these are the ones I find myself using most often. You may want to explore the many things possible to buy/sell here for other purposes or specific circumstances.
