The history of Viking rock
Viking rock probably wouldn't exist today if it weren't for the four boys below.

This is the band Ultima Thule.
The founding fathers of Viking rock. Formed in 1983
they were influensed by such bands as the sex pistols. They began
writing songs that
had elements from scandinavian folkmusic, traditional music and
classical punk rock.
The band had created a whole new music style which they called
viking rock.
Sadly the band was wplit in 1986
after having released their first singel. It would take
four years before the band would reunite after a jamming session.
In the years following
1990 the band would become one of the most popular swedish bands.
By 1994 the band had released 6
singles and 6 albums three which sold gold records.
That's 50000 copies for those who wonders.

These days many of the bands old
records have been repressed and are
selling well in different countries and more often new bands name
Ultima
Thule as their greatest inspirations and big companies like EMI
has
shown an interest in signing on the band.
