I started to get somewhat interested in the Falun Gong in the summer of 2002, when a oriental lady came out to me with a, how should I say? "not so pleasent" look on her face, and handed me a pamphlet, so when i recieved this pamphlet the first thing that came into my mind was "oh god not another jehova witness pamphlet. I soon realized it was about this group called "Falun Gong" I was suprised because, well you don't see many asian religious groups pushing you to join them, esp. in N.A.

I got into a argument between a pro-american and he threw out falun gong onto the table in our lil debate wether it was right for america to point guns at everyone without detailed information. Since I had no real information other then that I have experianced forehand, i decided to talk about "general" religions, you know the pointlessness of it all and such, but it didn't get through to him so later on the discussion ended in us both leaving to go to the bathroom or something.

Starting To read the Falun gong website

When I woke up one morning I decided that maybe I should figure out what the falun gong is about, so once I got ready and took some pills(I had a virus so i had some time online) and then i started reading the articles that were about the history their claim on why China has such predjudice towards them etc etc... I learned somewhat why china wants them out and the good things about falun gong.

Basically the site says that China wants them out because Jiang believes tht his political rivals also follow the same religion as falun gong, so what he did was make Falun gong seem like a cult of "hell-ish" attributes, so basically he can mantain his power and sit back and relax. Jiang banned the falun gong in 1999 from china and sent away or "re-educated" the captured falun gong. There is also the belief that China is still be "tracking" down them world wide

My thought on this
Its not suprising that any country would want to kick out competitors for the high paid and respected jobs by labelling competitor's religions as cults and such. I look at America and they have called many things cults at first and some still. Mormons is somewhat a example of a falsely accused "cult", but I hafta say I don't like anyone pressuring me into joining a religion where I hafta find my own "goal"(meaning why i love god or inner peace), cause you know its rather stupid. However I must agree that Jiang did a very stupid thing banning the Falun Gong, but yet i understand why they did it. 1) not completely understanding the religion and only observing the somewhat "bad" examples of the members of the falun gong. 2) the widely known belief, that if there is a place with peace and serenity and stability for a long period time, will create chaos. 3) Generally religions are seen as "off topic" and such like a distraction from the real world, efficiency is the goal of communism is general. 4) Bhuddist extremists don't really give out the best example of "peaceful" resolution to things. NOW changing onto the Jiang hate that the falun gong is clearly making, I understand that the falun gong isn't so great about Jiang but the last time I checked you guys critisized china in general? I may sound paranoid but from what I've seen downtown Vancouver on robson and such, the banners have clearly stated that it was China? hmm, interesting how you move your hate towards china in general, great job on the banners, so back to the paranoid statement :) I believe that Falun gong does have good attentions but there seems to be something more then what meets the eye now, going on the Falun Gong site I couldn't help but think that they were democratically funded. Especially the Bush quote "...adherents of the Falun Gong...have been singled out for arrest and abuse. This persecution is unworthy of all that China has been – a civilization with a history of tolerance. And this persecution is unworthy of all that China should become – an open society that respets the spiritual dignity of its people."(this quote was copied and pasted directly from the site), this is under the "quote of the day" which if u refresh, seems like everytime u do its like its a new day(lol, sorry i had to take the cheap shot), yeah back to the quote of Bush, basically i don't know why they quoted that from such a redneck warmonger but hey? I guess like any "FOB"ed out site they probably fallen under the influence of America's "oh so pretty society, which is shown in videos by pro democratics from around the world with superman(superman is actually a canadian cartoon but he just had such a big influence in the states so .. what the hell? :D) and everything. I'm not gonna do studies on Bush since if i did, I'd all of a sudden be cockier about how the dumbasses I know could fit in the requirements of being Bush's butt buddy. Basically Bush's quote is hypocritical, a cartoonist in England was fired because he wrote "Bush is a twit" and due to American influence, he was fired, hmm real justice eh?, and is Bush saying that China should open themselves and allow just about anything to happen? I don't know, that would have many religious conflicts between many groups of ppl creating more and more so called branches of other religions, hey how about we just destroy all the businesses and go back to being a society ruled under a majority used faith? UH NO!. And hey bush weren't you the guy that labbelled the western part of asia having a terrorist faith? hmm... lesse here YES :\. DONE and DONE :D.

What I think about falun gong now:

The practice of falun gong to me, makes me say "yeah ok whatever" i don't really care, but its still better then christianity in my view. However falun gong in N.A is obviously being funded by anti-china/communists, why you say i believe this is so? well one thing, is the banners I've seen "WHY IS CHINA PUNISHING OUR GROUP?" and "COMMUNIST CHINA HOLDING BACK OUR FREEDOM", oh its China now is it? I could have sworn you guys saying Jiang... OH OH NM YOU GUYS SAID COMMUNIST CHINA, ahh ok now that changes everything! :|, clearly thats misunderstandment from the faith's followers should i say? ahem, next the site is american funded "but wei how can you tell?" oh its very simple ppl when you see american politics and how they are fighting "for" the falun gong's beliefs against China, or was it COMMUNIST CHINA? or was it even Jiang? hmm ho hmm, makes you think doesn't it? Some parts of the site contradicted the next page and that after, like this picture read the comic strip, next click on the link in the middle of the page in in the first few paragraph(or the first?) they will say "Falun Gong “against” communism or the Government, this would mean that millions of practitioners were “against” themselves: millions of practitioners were Chinese Communist Party members before the ban, and this includes many high-ranking officials" Oh so what the article is saying that they don't feel any resentment that Jiang kicked them out because of his own fear that they would create trouble for him, OH OK *prances away* *stops* hmm OH OH what does this comic say? "Of course falun gong is a threat to communism, they exercise..." "freedom" ok, i'm glad that comic cleared things up, i mean PHEW i was a little confused at first... as you can see i clearly proved my point(s) and oh yeah another thing theres a link to a U.N report about a supposed "fake" newsletter, i'm not to sure if its true or not, but if anyone wants to prove it is fake, send me the article and i'll take a look at it. And oh yes, Falun gong isn't a bad religion its just the people that mistaken the real point of it.
