Rules?

While we may have a set of rules that wouldn't be found in your childhood board game - or even in something a bit larger like Risk, we would like to point out that you, as a player, need to know little of them. Instead, know the following advise:

  1. Players do not need to know all of the rules. Or the history. Or even the plot for that matter (not all of the people they represent are all that aware of the news either). Not even refs need to know every rule. The rules simply cover a variety of situations. That's why we have no damage charts and such. We simply suggest (eg: a knife in the arm does less damage than one in the chest).
  2. Do not argue with the referee. Their word is law. They are like that of Gods, even to agnostics. Or, to use a modern term: Despotic Fascist Authoritarians. They control and interpret everything. They hold no bias as they are closely watched by greater powers (the GMs). If a ref DOES show bias during a match, highlight the parts of the match you where you believe the ref showed bias and send them to a GM who will review this evidence. If found to be biased, a ref will lose their position. So respect, do not provoke and be not afraid of the referees.
  3. Learn what your race can do and what others can so to be ready. Get good weapons, techniques and spells and be ready to win or lose. It happens.
  4. Be a good sport. It's all we can ask.
  5. Oh, one more thing: scenes devised to move the plot can be graphically described in text and the characters swear a lot. I'll have to say that you should be at least 16 years of age to play and no younger than 15, but it depends on your area, your point of view and, in some cases, your parent's point of view.
