Full practise but not for very long... We went through the usual Tourettes, Paranoid and For Whom The Bell Tolls without flaw (maybe because we play them so damn much)... We attempted Enter Sandman and The Wickerman, Nikki doesn't know the drumming to Wickerman too well because it's really hard and she hasn't really heard it properly *rolls eyes* and Enter Sandman was alright I guess with a few flaws but it's a very hard structure to follow and we hope to have it perfected for next week. It was also Emma's 16th birthday party tonight and it was pretty fun, we played in front of all the guests and it went pretty well I guess saying as we got quite a few cheers... Roll on Saturday the 3rd I guess... Emma is 16 officially tomorrow |

Technically a full practise today! Woohoo! Emma, Vinnie, Chrissy and Nikki and me! At Nikki's house from 4-6:30, ok only 2 and a half hours but it suited us this week as we couldn't really do many songs, reason being: Nikki has 2 crap cymbals and needs a ride cymbal for songs we're doing, Emma doesn't have her guitar/amp yet etc. Practising next Saturday (wow this could become routine!) and this means everyone will have their equipment from Christmas! Yay! Keep you updated, but all the THREE songs (lol) that we played were AMAZING! Played really well! Well done everyone! :-) |
Half practise today, Emma was doing a school play and Chrissy has broken his amp and bass string... Vinnie, Nikki and I attended... We played through Paranoid, Tourettes, For Whom The Bell Tolls and TEENAGE KICKS?!?! (Nikki insisted!!!) We couldn't practise Newborn or many worthwhile songs because we needed piano and bass and Nikki needs more than a hi-hat and one crash that sound like garbage can lids! Well we video recorded ourselves and my goodness it is hilarious!!! Nikki has one big ass hat collection, that’s all I can describe the video as really! We’re practising next on Saturday 20th December, FULL PRACTISE! Woohoo!! It’s finally working!!! :D |

Got the lyrics up for Daniel's Leprechaun Song which we have now named "Size is Everything" due to the fact that there already is a "leprechaun song" made by Mr. Johnny McClure from Deep Kick...also got the lyrics of our first original up but it's just basic and we'll probably change it when we next practise |

Practised with Nikki, Kenny, Smythe and...Erm...Gordon? (Paul couldn't make it)...Nikki is involved in a certain “incident” and she was then disallowed to be in the band any more but hopefully we will get her back again because I would hate to lose her, as Paul says "it's not the fact that we would have to find a new drummer, it's the fact that it wouldn't be Nikki" and I totally agree, no Nikki means no band! |

Hope you lot appreciate this because it is 1:45am and I’m trying to do this damn site...we’re having a practise later on, not a full practise because Chrissy can’t make it as he’ll be only home, and we’re not sure about Nikki yet...and Dean is on holiday at the minute, so ok it’s just me and Paul lol, shush!! |
Band name finally changed from "Lignite" to "Drayven" |
Dean Millen joins band as lead vocalist, first practice with him today but it wasn't really a practice because the only people in the band that were there was Paul, Dean and myself...also thinking of changing our band name because we're doing more metal now and need a better name... |
This is really boring, we need to have some practise or something, and this summer is going so damn slow!! Which isn't entirely bad because it means no school for longer, woohoo...but boredom instead, aww! Oh well, buh bye... |
Well our drums and bass are away now for like 2 weeks but bass will be away nearly the whole damn summer so we won't have much practise AGAIN! Oh well...it'll sort itself out in time...I hope! |
FIRST GIG COMPLETE!!! Ok we would have had a perfect set but the amp messed up on the first two songs, half of us were intoxicated in some way or another, we only practised twice and the singer never even practised and just turned up...so overall I think we were pretty good considering all that but could have been better. Next gig will be more organised, I PROMISE! :P |
Second FULL practise (without singer, he'll just turn up and sing) well it went ok, all except “Louie Louie” Anyway as I was saying the gig is tomorrow so we're pretty screwed! |
First FULL band practise and can play 3 songs out of 6 perfect, pretty good for our first practise like! Well we have our first gig in 6 days so we really all need to start learning these songs! |
Lead Vocalist Emma has quit due to cold feet about the gig. Had a mini practise yesterday but we're now singer less, so anyone who can sing…please get in touch ASAP |
