Chrissy, Rachel and Vinnie arrive at the destination of the gig, Exodus at 6pm, the stated time. Nikki is providing the drums for all 3 bands and she left the equipment at Emma's house so it could be at Exodus earlier as Nikki was going to be rather late. Emma's car decides to over-heat in the extremes of traffic for the North West 200 and she has to walk from the marina to Exodus, her brother and DouG bring all the drums except the bass drum. Then Nikki arrives and some time later the bass drum as well (finally!), with the organisers and other bands being incredibly annoyed at us. We were not allowed to play any Metallica as the organisers wouldn't allow us? So we played Paranoid as an opener which really got the crowd going with a few random moshers up front including Dean Millen and Andrew Bolster etc. Next, we mellowed it all out with our mellow original which we only made the night before *lol* called "Right Here Right Now" which the crowd seemed really into and seemed to enjoy it. Finally, came Teenage Pricks (Our own rendition of Teenage Kicks by the Undertones) which really went down a storm, it started out slow with Emma picking the chords and all of a sudden came the drum intro about 10 times faster than the standard one and we burt into song with Chrissy on vocals (the wee darlin' was a teeny bit nervous!). Over all, I think the crowd were pretty pleased by us and this has been a very enjoyable gig so I would like to thank Trevor and the whole Exodus team for giving us this opportunity! Hopefully we'll come back and play for you again...? Also I must say that the PA system is THEE best I have ever used!
P.S. We got an offer from Bolster to record an EP as soon as possible if we can get about another 3 or 4 originals made which we pretty much have but they're just not practiced etc but that can be easily done...I hope!
