Comments on the Dualism of High School Life

In front of his peers, a boy proudly scoffs,
While humble he is in front of his Profs.
It’s fun to be cool in front of your friends,
But smarts for yourself will count in the end.
In school, oft one’s fake, if just to impress,
But with loved ones real, full of honestness.
In God, some believe, before any else,
But others dissent, they’ll see for themselves.
On topics like love, contention is great,
This topic, when broached, makes some quite irate.
For all have loved once, and some have felt gain,
While others still dwell in great love-lost pain.
Our school is split, as plain one may see.
We’ve drawn out a line; our diversity.
