To all the rulers
You made a choice to go your way.
I made a choice with mine.
You’ll meet your end and savor it.
I’ll live a life sublime.
When I think about my choice in life
I often wonder why
Why did I choose to be this way?
Why don’t some things apply?
I live a life that’s very simple
And just the same, complex
You live your life the way you want
Not just how they expect
We all make choices in our lives
And ponder just the same
Are we to be the rulers?
Or just small pawns in this game?
I’ll tell you the truth, in such a way
As I am sure I know
I live my life to make life count
And will continue to do so
You, live your life so as to do
All that you know you want
And if you live in great virtue,
Virtue your life will grant.
