More Maps of the Sahyadris



While I am trying to make GPS maps of all major Sahyadri hiking sites, at the rate I am proceeding it is going to take me a very long while to accomplish this task.

At this site are links to external websites that contain maps of the Sahyadris. Please note that I am not associated in any way with these websites, so if you have any questions regarding maps located in these sites, please contact the owner of the appropriate website.

Since the search process for Sahyadri maps on the Internet is a continuous one, the chances are that the next time you visit this website, there will be more maps awaiting your exploration. This site will expand considerably from the current selection shown below.

This site has map sketches for almost 40 Sahyadri peaks. When you click on the link below, a new window will open up taking you to the home page of the Trekshitiz.com website. In the home page, select the "Maps" option in the main menu.

Survey Maps of the Sahyadris

Who would have even imagined that these highly accurate Survey Maps of the Sahyadris would be available to the general public in the library of the University of California at Berkeley! There are several maps covering the Sahyadri region. The links below correspond to these maps, titled according to the Sahyadri peaks that are included in these maps. Keep in mind that each map is HUGE at 36 MB. Downloading time can be as long as fifteen minutes if you have a slow speed connection. Also, if too many individuals are downloading simulataneously, you may get a 'unable to download' or similar message. Simply wait an hour or so before trying again.

    The Y. Z. (or Young Zingaro) Trekkers have created very detailed maps of many regions of the Sahyadris. These maps are in full color, with all the hiking trails shown in detail.
