Policy and Objectives is translated into appropriate research and development programs and projects through the conference and agreement among the units that specify policy, those that supervise the research and those that conduct the research.  This is ensure that the projects meet the requirements of the users.  Moreover, the Project Assessment and Evaluation Subcommittee is appointed by the chairman of the Board, with the Analysis and Evaluation Division Director of The DRDO as secretary to the Subcommittee.  This Subcommittee monitors the progress of the projects.  The subcommittee reports to the Defence Research and Development Board with its recommendation that certain project be continued, suspended or terminated to reflect changes of project requirement or serious unsolved problems.
