WDW RAILROAD

Review from November 2002 by Deirdre Sargent:
After being a bit worn out from the roller coasters, I took the old standby – The train.  This is a nice, relaxing ride.  This authentic steam engine has stops  on Main Street, Frontierland and Mickey's Toontown Fair.  This is still the best stand-by for relaxing tired feet and getting a different view of the park.

We got on at Frontierland and I noticed that they added PC Pocahontas music when you go by Tom Sawyer Island and the Indian settlements.  The burning cabin across the river was not mentioned.  At Disneyland for years the settlers cabin was attacked by Indians.  Now it has been changed to being attacked by Pirates.  O Kay…. I will say that PC just annoys me.  People seem to take it WAY too far.  If they wanted to be sensitive to native americans then why not just take the cabin out as an outdated part of the attraction?.  A solid C for relaxation.  Points off for idiot PC/political message and no cheesy dinosaurs (like in Disneyland).

Kid Grade (G): Suitable for all ages.  Kids will enjoy this and thankfully miss all the adult attempts to make uber sure that no one gets their widdle feelings hurt.
