This is LAME! This is the worst excuse for a shopping mall that I have ever seen. At Disneyland, Toon Town is WONDERFUL!! There are all kinds of things to do and see and play with. It has interactive things to do (a post office with talking boxes, a street with exploding sounds, talking manhole covers, exploding boxes, etc.) and it also has more rides. There are two really cool rides (Gadgets Go Coaster and the Roger Rabbit Spin Ride) along with a Trolley and food and Goofys Bounce House and Donalds Ship and Mickeys Movie Studio and ALL KINDS OF NEAT STUFF!!! This pathetic copy has none of that.
Let's see - first there is only ONE ride, Goofys Barnstormer Rollercoaster and it is lame. No where near as cool as Gadget. Its short and uninspiring. Very small children will like it. There is no bounce house or interactive ANYTHING in this travesty of a Toon Town. In fact, I think this is the EVIL Toon Town from an alternate universe! How do I know? I'll tell you!
The houses for Mickey and Minnie in Disneyland were 100% hands-on kid friendly. I was VERY disappointed that when we walked through Mickey's house at WDW all the rooms were behind barriers. If you reached too far over, an alarm went off. Yep, I tried to touch the fake TV in Mickey's living room and off went a "Did I win the car, Monty?" alarm. That is NO fun for kids or adults! I remember watching the kids swarm all over Mickey and Minnie's kitchen's in Disneyland, playing with all the things and having a great time. Just looking at "museum displays" of cool things they can't touch is mean. Sorry, it is. This is why this land is the Evil alternate universe Toon Town.
The big Fair tent is just a giant store to sell yet more merchandise. Why not put in more rides and cool things for the kids? I know they have some character meet and greet there. Mickey has a movie ranch set at Disneyland behind his house. I just think with ALL the character spots (that are well organized) and ALL the merchandise ALL over the park that they could have used the extra cash and space for making a more magical, interactive, hands-on place for the kids instead of a mall.
Kid Grade (G): Suitable for all ages. however I refuse to spend money here on principle. Avoid this travesty of imagination. Go back to Fantasyland.
