TEST TRACK

Review from March 2001 by Deirdre Sargent:
This ride is fairly new but still has it share of bugs.  The main one is the break down ratio.  When the weather is very hot (which is a great deal of the time in Florida) the rubber tires and the blacktop track seem to want to fuse together.  Not good.

This is the ONLY Fast Pass ride where your FP only does you minimal good.  The line was not set up with FP in mind.  You skip one section of the queue but still have a substantial wait.  Once you get inside the building you are basically merged with everyone else early on.  Not much of a time savings.  The ride also broke down for about 10 minutes on us.  Total wait with FP was 40 minutes and this was off-season.  I didn't find it to be worth it.

The ride itself consists of actual car tests.  Climbing up hills, bumpy roads, spin outs, heat, cold, collision and then they take you out and run you on a "race track".  Understand that you could break down in one of the hot or cold weather rooms.  That is not fun.  The racing portion is the best part of the ride but it's only once around and too short.

I give this ride a solid B but the waiting and break-down factor can slip it to a B-.

Kid Grade (PG): Height Requirement Enforced.  Suitable for 7 yrs and up.  Most of the ride is slow, it is only fast at the end.
