Jeff and I have longed for children
for so long it is like wishing on a star.

I
can't tell you how many stars we have seen at dusk that
have been wished upon! It is the same wish whenever we
break the turkey's wishbone or blow the candles out on
birthday cakes. It is the same wish when I blow an eye
lash off my finger tip.... Wishing and dreaming about
babies! |
| I
think I have always known I would become a teacher. With
teaching goes a certain amount of
"parenting." My job does give me a great
deal of satisfaction but my heart longs to take them all
home with me!

We
want to read bed time stories to our children. We want to
tuck them in at night! We want to tell them that we love
them! Hugs and Kisses! Tiny little fingers to hold on to
tight. Together trying to find the balance when it is
time to let the babe learn to fly a bit on his/herr own.
There is no job that will ever prepare us for the job
that we so desire- to parent. We can only hope and pray
that God will give us the grace to know what to do. |
| We
have already started a scrapbook for our baby. I have
been writing poetry and collecting sayings to add to the
pages. We have purchased a lot of "baby" things
for the pages of the memory book. Journaling will
be very frequent! We want this baby to know how much we
went through- the waiting- to have him/her join our
family. We want this child to know how much we ALL love
him/her and how we came to a decision together on how
he/she would be a part of our family. We want this child
to always know he/she was adopted and that we chose each
other! |

We
will be happy to send you pictures often. If you desire
on-going contact that is something we can discuss. We
have read so many positive things about open adoption
that we are very eager to add our positive stories to the
hundreds of other happy adoptive families. We can't make
a lot of promises right now but we can tell you that we
will listen and try really hard to actually hear what you
are saying. |

want to honor you! You are an amazing person for chosing
life for your unborn child! We are hopeful that you will
grant our wish to parent your baby as our own... Your
child is like the stars- out of reach until you give us
your blessings but you will always have stardust and be
able to "be in touch" with this magical miracle
baby! |
