Jeff

First, let me just say that I totally am in love with my husband. Trying to tell someone about him with few words is really difficult! He is the best thing that ever has happened to me! I will try to be brief....
Jeff is very dedicated to me and to our family. He is very committed to our marriage and is a wonderful provider. Yes, I am spoiled rotten! He always is doing something unexpected "just because". He thinks of others first and then himself. Jeff has a lot of patience! This is critical when dealing with people and I think that is one reason he is so effective in his current job. He is gentle, loving, and protective.
He adores children and they love him. Often he gets "caught flirting" with little ones in public. They smile and coo at Jeff and he just beams. Watching Jeff interact with our nephews, neice and younger cousins has given me a glimpse of what he'll be like with our own children. He explains to them how things work, why they can/can't do something. He disciplines them firmly but fairly. He loves them unconditionally. At family reunions, he can be found with the children. He loves to play with them, read to them and just talk to them. He's always the one to eat at "the kid's table" and help supervise them while some of the grown-ups take a break from parenting. Our nephews have provided him with bottle feeding, diapering, table feeding and potty training experiences. Stephen and Thomas both love their "Uncle Jeff-er-EE!" Thomas especially lights up when he sees Jeff!
I get tears in my eyes thinking about the type of father I know he will be. I know we will share parenting responsibilities equally and that he will get up just as much as I do in the middle of the night to check on the baby or for feedings. I know that Jeff would honor our child(ren) and put their needs first and foremost.
He treats me like a Princess and know that he would also treat our children like royalty. I know he is eager to become a parent. He has often said that he wishes we could have or recieve twins! I admit that would be wonderful to be doubly blessed. Jeff and I always thought twins would happen since they do run on both sides of the family. And I know I could actually "handle it" with Jeff by my side! Jeff wants to teach our children the importance of working towards goals, dreaming and achieving those dreams, and that any job worth doing is worth doing well.
He respects children and is good at validating them as human beings. He doesn't talk down to a child just because they are "little people." When he stops by my classroom he interacts with the children geting down on their level to talk about what they are learning. He's involved in PTA and has volunteered selling tickets for 2 years in a row with me at the school carnival. It is a given that he will continue to be active in PTA since education is something we both feel strongly about.
Jeff is a trooper and was very willing to be my "nurse" through the various surgeries and medical junk trying to have a baby. He would have made a wonderful doctor. He's very calm and has wonderful bedside manner when dealing with me, a self-proclaimed whimp!
Jeff is also quite good with the elderly and was very patient with my Gramie. Gramie had a stroke that rendered caring for her at home impossible. When she entered the nursing home it was hard to go see her. He encouraged me to go and willingly took me to see her. This was about a 45 minute drive that would cause tears before, during, and after the visitation. He was my strength during this difficult time. Gramie knew who he was and seemed more like herself during our visits. He helped me get through Gram's illness and death. His patience with my Nana, who is 92 also does not go unnoticed. Jeff's Granny is 98 and lives in a different state but he remains close to her as well. He truly respects his elders and enjoys spending time helping them and just visiting with them.
His love for people will make him a wonderful father one day and we will both be most grateful when that day comes! |
We would love to talk with you.
