Prologue

"The winner is...H.O.T.!" the host of the tv show said as the man in front of the tv clutched his fist.

"Congratulations, H.O.T., for winning again this week with their title song..."

"I don't want to see them again," the man said to a younger man that was standing next to him. "I told you to have them dead by this week. What happened!?"

"I'm sorry, sir," the younger man replied. "I'll send out the best in the team this time."

"You mean that girl?" the man asked with a frown. "Do you think that she can handle it?"

"I'm pretty sure, sir," the young man replied. "She never failed in her tasks."

"Then send her...I don't want to see failure again."

"Yes, sir."

Chapter 1

"They're taking another group in?" Hee Jun asked Tony as they walked out of SM Entertainment.

"Yeah, I guess. That's what I heard," Tony replied. "And I think that one of them is from the US and her Korean isn't that good." Hee Jun just shrugged and continue walking in.

"Did you ever see how she look like?" Jae Won asked curiously. Tony shook his head.

"I suppose that if we are in the same company, we are going to meet one another in time," Hee Jun said.

"Hey! Have you ever saw those girls before?" Hee Jun asked the rest of the members of H.O.T. They were now back to SM Entertainment because they have forgotten something.

"No..." Kang Ta said and the rest of them agreed.

"Do you think...?" Hee Jun asked as he looked at the rest of them.

"Maybe..." Tony said as he continued looking at the five girls that were standing in front of an office talking to a man who appeared to be an agent. After a short period of time, the girls seems to have finished talking to the man and turned to leave toward the direction that H.O.T. was standing at.

"H.O.T.?" one of the girls asked in surprise. H.O.T. nodded. "Wow! We are pretty lucky to meet one of the most famous groups on our first day to come to Korea!" she said to the other four girls. Most of them smiled. H.O.T. smiled and looked at the five girls. The one that caught their eyes immediately was the girl who didn't smile. She was tall and had a beautiful face yet there was a cold look in her eyes that was enough to freeze the hottest things on earth. The coldness of her eyes sent shivers down the spine of the rest of the people who were there except another girl who was standing next to her who appeared to be her friend. This girl was not as tall but had a warmer face.

Suddenly, she looked at H.O.T. with her cold eyes. "You are H.O.T.?" she asked in English. Hee Jun looked at her weirdly and nodded.

"Yeah," Tony said slowly. The girl nodded slowly and finally smiled gently.

"We got to go now. Hope to see you again someday. Soon," the girl with the cold eyes said.

"Um...yeah. Sure," Tony answered.

Then, the girl walked off with the other four...

Chapter 2

"That girl was cold," Hee Jun said after they finished practicing the dance.  He took a drink out of his water bottle.

"That girl who asked if we were H.O.T.?" Tony asked.  All of the members were sitting on the floor, resting from the dances that they had practice from earlier before.

"Yeah.  She had the coldest eyes that I had ever seen," Hee Jun said as he shook his head.

"She's probably just use to it," Woo Hyuk said.

"I doubt it.  I never saw eyes that would actually send shivers down my spine," Hee Jun said.

"But why would she look at us like that?" Jae Won asked.

"Am I suppose to know?" Hee Jun asked.  "And we would have to face her for a long period of time from now on."

"Well, think of it this way: At least she's not ugly," Tony said with a laugh as the others laughed a little.

"No! I'm not saying that she's ugly.  I just don't like the way that she smiled after we told her that we are H.O.T.," Hee Jun said, shivered a little from the thought of that cold smile that was on the girl's face.  "I admit that she's kind of pretty and everything but too cold. Right?"  Everyone nodded except for Kang Ta. "Kang Ta?" Kang Ta snapped back to reality.  Obviously, his mind was somewhere else when the other four were talking about that girl.

"What?" Kang Ta asked.

"That girl- What's with you Kang Ta?  You don't seem to be concentrating since we came back from the company," Hee Jun commented.  Kang Ta shook his head.

"I'm just thinking of some things," Kang Ta replied.  Hee Jun looked at him with a weird kind of smile.

"Don't tell me that you like that you like that girl who's made out of ice," Hee Jun said half jokingly.  Kang Ta gave out a laugh.

"Hey! You never know," Kang Ta said softly.

"What!?" Hee Jun exclaimed.  He was really shocked this time.  Kang Ta? Like that girl? Um…  The rest of the members were now listening to the conversation.  "She's definitely not your type of girl."

"I just said that you never know.  I didn't say more than that," Kang Ta said with a laugh as he took a drink out of his water bottle.

"Don't scare me, ok?  If you like that girl, wouldn't that mean that we have to go to Antarctica everyday?" Hee Jun said.  The rest of the people laughed.  Kang Ta just smiled and returned to his thoughts as the rest of the people looked at him.

In a dark tunnel at night.  Same day.

"What did you find out?" a man asked in Korean.  There was another person there with him but the faces could not be seen clearly in the dim lights.

"How much do you expect?  This is first day that I had received the task," the other side replied back in Korean.  It could be certain that the person was a female.  The man walked up to the female and put his hand on her shoulder.  The female shrugged his hand off.  The man then put his hand back to his sides.

"You know that I ask you this because you are the best on the team.  I'll never doubt your talents…I just want to be sure that you won't fail…You know that even the males look up to you in the team because of your abilities…"

"If you don't think that I can succeed then put someone else in my position," the female said as she turned to walk away.

"Wait!  You know that I would never even have that thought.  It's just that the person who asked for this task to be done is getting impatient.  Each day that H.O.T. gains fame, the more pressure he puts on the team…"

"Then why don't we just get rid of him," the female said coldly.

"You know that we can't do that…We only do things that involves money…If we kill him, we have no benefi-"

"Next week.  Same time," the female said as she turned around to walk away before the man can finish what he's saying.

"But-," the man then stopped what he was going to say.  No one can change what she's thinking.  Not even the leader of the team, who raised her.

"Run!  You can't save them anymore!  The fire is too big for anything to survive! You're too small to do anything anyway!" one of the people who were running away from the burning fire said to the little girl.

"That can't be!  I can't be the only one that is left!  My parents!  My brother!  And my sisters!  They're all in there!  Please!  Please help me!" the little girl said.

"It's impossible!" the person said coldly to the little girl.  "We are not going to risk our lives to save someone else!  We can't even save ourselves!"  The person then ran away, leaving the little girl looking after them.

"Please!  Please someone save them for me!  They are the only people that I have left…I don't have any…one…left…in…this world," the little girl said lowering her voice with each word she managed to get out.

***********************************************

She watched as the last water bottle that she was the get come out of the vending machine.  She picked it up and walked back to where the rest of the people were waiting for her - the dancing room.  That was the place that most people of the people from SM would practice.  The rest of the people that were in the group that she was in were waiting for her and the water bottles that she had volunteered to buy there.  Suddenly, one of the coins that she had left over from buying the water bottles fell to the floor.  She reached down to pick it up but before she touched the coin, someone else picked it up for her.  She recognized him.  One of the guys from H.O.T.  He smiled and held out his hand to give her back the coin.  She took it over.

"Thank you," she said expressionless and she continued to walk back to the dancing room.

"Um…My name is Kang Ta.  What's your name?" the person said before she could take another step.  She turned around and looked at him.

"Why are you asking?" she asked.  Kang Ta looked at her face.  Still no expression.  If a person really wants to say that she has an expression, yeah, a super cold one, cutting off the contact of the whole world from herself.

"I'm…just wondering because we would be in the same company and we-"

"Sharon," she simply said one word and turn to walk away.

"Sharon," Kang Ta said gently under his breath.  He then looked up at her and saw her walking into the dancing room.
