Chapter 35 "Celeste?" Jae Won whispered. Fae looked at him. "She's Celeste?" Fae asked. "Don't let anyone get close to her anymore. She's dangerous." "Wait, Fae," Jae Won said as he studied the girl that was across the street from them. "She can't be Celeste because Kang Ta would be next to her if she's Celeste." Then, the girl that was standing next to the girl that looked like Celeste turned around. "Shin Ji?" Fae looked at him. "What is she doing with her?" Jae Won asked. He's getting confused. "Shin Ji…Isn't she from the police station. Wait a second! If that's not Celeste because Kang Ta would be next to her…She's Sharon!?" *********************************************** "What!?" Kang Ta practically screamed into his cell phone, which made everyone that was around him to jump. "Look over her. Don’t let her go anywhere. I'll be there in a second. Please, Jae Won." Then, he hung up. "I have to go out for a second…Look after Celeste for me, ok?" With that, he left without giving the other people a chance to recover from the shock and talk to him about it. "Kang Ta oppa?" Celeste gently whispered under her breath. *********************************************** "Jae Won!" Kang Ta yelled when he saw Jae Won. Jae Won turned around and looked at him. "Where did you see her?" Kang Ta asked as he ran up to him. It seems as if he ran there instead of driving there. "She's still in that café," Jae Won answered. Kang Ta followed where Jae Won pointed. Through the glass, he saw her. "It sure does look like her…But I didn't ask her because I was afraid that if I walked up to her, she would run away, so I decided to talk to you first about it." Kang Ta didn't even hear a word that Jae Won said because he was focused on the girl behind the glass who was smiling and talking to Shin Ji. *********************************************** "What in the world are you talking about?" Shin Ji almost yelled. "There's nothing between me and him." "Yeah, whatever," was the answer. "I told you throughout the years that I never thought of him and you still wouldn't believe me?" Shin Ji asked unbelievingly at the girl that was sitting across the table from her. "It's too unbelievable, Shin Ji," the girl answered. "You…ok…I have to get you further from Mushi and Tiffany because they are giving you bad influence," Shin Ji concluded. "They are nice. They didn't teach me anything. I see with my own eyes," the girl said. "But you changed so much since you first arrived in front of my house," Shin Ji said. Then, she noticed that the expression on the girl's face changed. "I'm sorry. I forgot that I wasn't suppose to talk about the past…" "It doesn't matter," the girl said. She then looked out the window with a bitter smile. "It all passed already." "You sure?" Shin Ji asked. The girl looked at her. Shin Ji tilted her head toward something behind the girl. The girl turned around and looked behind her. The time seemed to freeze for her as she looked at the guy that appeared on her mind night and day. Without another word, she got up and ran out the other side of the store where there was another entrance. Shin Ji and the guy immediately ran after her. *********************************************** Kang Ta finally caught up to her. "Sharon," Kang Ta called out as he held on to her in his arms. The girl in his arms was trying to push him away. "What…what are…you talking about?" the girl asked as she struggled to get out of his embrace. "I don't know what you are talking about. I'm not Sharon." "Please," Kang Ta said as he started to cry. "Let me explain everything. Let me apologize to you." "Why? You don’t need me anymore," the girl - Sharon - said as she looked up at him straight into his eyes. "You have Celeste already." "She's not mine," Kang Ta protested. "You should know that I love you and you are the only one that I had ever loved." "Yeah, sure," Sharon said coldly as she looked away from Kang Ta. She had stopped to struggle against him because it was pretty much useless. Kang Ta looked at her. "You…got a little skinnier…and paler," Kang Ta said gently as he looked at her. Sharon looked at him. "It's none of your business," Sharon said. "Get off of me." "No," Kang Ta answered. "Get off…Shin Ji! Help!" Sharon called out as she looked at Shin Ji pleadingly. Shin Ji, being Sharon's friend…………..went over and helped her. "Shin Ji! It's none of your business!" Kang Ta warned. "Oh yes it is!" Shin Ji answered. "You are trying to force my friend to do something and she wouldn't so I would have to help her." She then pulled Sharon away. "Sharon!" Kang Ta called again as he looked at the two departing girls. He knew that he couldn't do anything because Shin Ji was beside Sharon - for now. *********************************************** Brian was laughing hard in Kang Ta's living room. Kang Ta stared at him. "What's your problem, Brian?" Kang Ta asked. "Nothing…So you can't do anything to Shin Ji because she's a police, right?" Brian asked. "Can't you at least help me?" Kang Ta asked. "Instead of laughing at me." "Ok," Brian answered. "I got a plan." Not just a plan for his hyung, but a plan for himself also…He told Kang Ta the plan. "Brian…That's a freaking old plan," Kang Ta complained. "At least it's useful!" Brian protested. "So are you going to use it or not? If you're not going to use it, I don't have any other plans for it to work." Kang Ta looked at him reluctantly and then nodded. *********************************************** Chapter 36 "Hello?" Shin Ji answered the phone. "Shin Ji?" Brian answered on the other side. "Brian? Why are you calling so early in the morning?" Shin Ji asked as she smothered the yawn that was about to come out. "Nothing…I'm just wondering if you have time today," Brian said. "Why?" Shin Ji asked. "Well…You know…" "I still didn't say if I want to be your girl or not yet," Shin Ji said. "No! I'm just saying…If you don't want to continue from the point that we started…Why don't we start all over again?" Brian suggested. Shin Ji stood there for a second for all the things to sink into her head before she answered. "Am I speaking to Brian right now?" Shin Ji asked. What is wrong with him today? "Yeah." "…" About two minutes had passed. "Ok." *********************************************** Sharon was sitting on the living room watching the tv when the doorbell rang. Tiffany and Mushi had gone out to shop. "Did they forget something?" Sharon murmured to herself. She could have sworn that Mushi and Tiffany had just gone out for about five minutes. She then got up and went to the door slowly and then opened it. "What did you forget a-" She stopped when she saw who was at the door. She immediately replaced her originally smiling face with an extremely cold face, despite the fact that her heart was hurting. "What are you doing here?" "I…came over to see you," Kang Ta said carefully. "To see if I got hurt enough? Or too see if there would be other weapons on me?" Sharon said coldly. "I…I didn't think that you would be a killer," Kang Ta said. "I…I just felt so confused at that time. I wanted to go after you but they wouldn't let me." "If you wanted to do something, none of them could have stopped you, Ahn Chil Hyun," Sharon said angrily. "I looked for you for over three months already-" "But then you found Celeste who was closer to the kind of girl that you wanted so you fell in love with her," Sharon accused. "But then you found out that nothing happened to me so you want to come back and cheat on me or something like that?" "I never cheated on you!" Kang Ta answered back angrily - whether it's toward Sharon's accusation or Shin Ji…?… "What did Shin Ji tell you?" "This has nothing to do with Shin Ji," Sharon answered. "It's the truth. I saw you with her." "What?" Kang Ta asked. "You never thought that I was on the plane that you were on, right? You never thought that I would be coming back to Seoul on the same plane as you, right? That's why you thought that you could…I don't even want to mention it anymore. I saw with my own eyes the caring that you showed to Celeste. Don't say that I'm jealous. I left you alone before you met Celeste and I had no intention of going to look for you and now you come and look for me?" Sharon said as she looked at Kang Ta. Kang Ta kept shaking his head. "Did you ever thought that I was thinking about you when I showed that much emotion to Celeste?" Kang Ta asked as he started to cry. "Do you know how many tears I have shed for you since the day that you have left? Do I need to tell you how much I had suffered after you left me? I admit that I was stupid and I wanted to take Celeste as a replacement for you…but it just didn't happen. I look at her and I could just figure out that it's not you." Sharon looked at him. "I couldn't forget you…no matter how many times I tried…" He was crying even harder now. Suddenly, they heard a slap from behind them. They turned around and saw Brian standing there with Shin Ji. It looks from the scene that Shin Ji had just slapped Brian. "Kang Ta! You walk out of my house right now with this idiot or else I would take you back to the police station and charge you for trespassing my place!" Shin Ji said. Kang Ta looked at her and Brian. Brian was looking at Shin Ji in shock and holding on to one side of his face and Shin Ji was looking at Brian angrily. "I'm not going," Kang Ta said. He turned his head and looked at Sharon. "Unless you go with me." Shin Ji went over and pulled Sharon over and pushed Kang Ta out the door. "I don't care what you want but you're not moving anything or anyone from my house," Shin Ji said as she shut the door. Kang Ta looked at Sharon. She was looking at him as if she had so much to tell him but was shut out by the door. "Brian!" Kang Ta cried out. It seems as if he's going to blame everything on Brian… "How am I suppose to know that she would forget something and she would insist on going back?" Brian asked. *********************************************** "I hate him," Shin Ji said to herself as she stared at the tv. Mushi and Tiffany had returned from their shopping. "What happened?" Mushi asked Sharon in a whisper. "I'll tell you later," Sharon answered. "I hate him I hate him I hate him!" Shin Ji yelled as she stood up and went into her room as the other three girls looked at her. *********************************************** "Haha! Brian! You are in deep trouble this time!" Alex said as he looked at Brian who was sitting on a chair that was near his bed in the police station. "You're even lucky that that girl would let you in here." "I didn't know that she was going to go back for something!" Brian protested. "I really wanted to start over with her. I decided that this would be a perfect chance because I could ask her out and I could help Kang Ta!" Alex kept laughing until he finally coughed. Grace patted him on his back. Alex turned his head over and gave Grace a smile as he quickly gave her a kiss on her hand. "Well you would just have to think of a way to get her happy again," Alex answered as he held on to Grace's hand. "The point is how?" Brian asked with a frown. "You think about it," Alex answered. *********************************************** "Kang Ta oppa?" Celeste asked as she walked into Kang Ta's studio. He seemed so much happier. Even happier than when he first saw Celeste… "Yes?" Kang Ta asked with a smile. Celeste walked over slowly and sat in a chair next to him. "You seem so much happier these days," Celeste said. "Do I?" Kang Ta asked as he went back to work. "Yes," Celeste said with a nod. She then carefully asked, "Do you mind telling me what it is that made you so happy?" "Nothing much," Kang Ta answered after a second. Except he just saw his only love again. He really wanted to tell the whole world about how happy he was. "Really?" Celeste asked. "Yeah," Kang Ta answered. "Nothing really much. You think that I'm hiding something from you?" If she said yes…hm…he would tell her the truth… "No," Celeste answered. Kang Ta smiled. He didn't really want to tell too much about Sharon because he didn't want her to be involved in these killer stuff. *********************************************** "Gina," Andy said as he looked at her. "Would you stop walking back and forth already? You did that for about twenty times already." "You wouldn't understand, Andy," Gina said as she sat down beside Andy. Since, she-doesn't-know-when, she started to get closer and closer to him. "I'm so worried about Sung Mi." "I know," Andy answered. "We're all worried about Christina also." Gina nodded. "I wonder where she would put them," Gina said. "Don't think about going there by yourself," Andy said. Gina smiled. "Afraid that what happened to Fae would happen to me or something?" Gina asked. "I'm afraid that worse things would happen," Andy answered as he pulled her into his arms. "Don't worry about it," Gina said as she rested her head on his chest. "Nothing would happen. I promise you that I won't do anything without telling you first, ok?" *********************************************** "Lami? Where are you going?" the other girls asked. The guys all went out to discuss things so the girls are left by themselves so they decided to have a little discussion themselves. "Nothing," Lami answered. "I just want to see Seoul for once because I never got a chance to actually see it." "Oh yeah," Esther answered. "Because you are a celebrity." Lami nodded. "All of you should understand because either you yourself are celebrities or your boyfriend are celebrities or both," Lami said. The rest of the people nodded. "Are you sure that it's safe for you to go out alone? Because it's getting pretty late now," Christah said. Lami shrugged. "I don't really care," Lami answered. "How about we go out with you?" Chibi asked. "Whatever. Ok," Lami answered. *********************************************** "Rain? Are you sure we are going to attack? There are only girls in that group?" the person said to Rain. "Of course we are going to attack! If they had a funeral or something, don't you think that all the people from SM would attend?" Rain said with a smile. Especially with Clouds here in the scene. Would there be any reason as to not attack this place? *********************************************** Chapter 37 "What do you think the boys are talking about?" Esther asked the rest of the girls as they walked down the street, window-shopping. "Aish. Who knows what those people are doing?" Poyan said as she rolled her eyes. "They never tell people what's happening." The other girls nodded in agreement. "Sharon!" Lami suddenly called out. The other girls looked at where she was looking. It was Sharon all right. She was with Shin Ji. "Lami!" Sharon called out happily as she ran up to the girls. "It's been so long since we last saw one another. You too Chibi and Audrey!" "It's all your fault!" Chibi said as the happy tears came down. "Why didn't you at least call us?" Sharon just shook her head as she, also, cried. Lami and Audrey were crying also. "You are so mean to us!?" Audrey asked. Sharon suddenly noticed that someone was missing. "Christina? What happened to her?" Sharon asked. Lami and Chibi looked at one another. "She got captured by Clouds," Chibi said quietly. Sharon looked at her and sighed. "You people still think that I'm Clouds," Sharon said quietly. Then she looked up and saw Fae. Fae seemed afraid of her. "Fae?" "Don't get near me," Fae said. Sharon looked at her, hurt. "She got pushed down the cliff by Clouds," Lami explained. "Oh," Sharon answered. *********************************************** "So…Where have you been, Sharon, throughout this four months?" Chibi asked as she stirred her drink. They were now sitting in a store. "I was with Shin Ji," Sharon answered. Shin Ji looked at everyone and smiled. "You people know me by now, right?" Shin Ji asked. The people nodded. Suddenly, the front door broke open and the firing started. "What the hell!?" The people in the store were screaming and yelling already from the gunshots. "Go from the back door, people! Quick! This is probably against you people! Quick! Go!" The girls immediately listened to her and ran toward the back door. They got out the back door and ran into the big street but there were people there already. The police was called but it would at least take some time before the police came. The police were just coming and there was a person aiming a gun right at Sharon. "Sharon!" Lami screamed out. Everyone turned and looked at the person. Everything seems to have moved in slow motion. The person firing the gun, Sharon turning over and seeing the bullet coming toward her, and at a split second… A cry of pain was heard through the air… The blood splattered into the face of a passerby… The sirens screaming through the air… The bullets from the policemen firing… The man who shot falling to the floor… The gun flying out of his hand… Landing somewhere near the person who got shot earlier… The blood of the person who got shot earlier quickly made a puddle near her body… "Lami!" Sharon cried out as she ran over to Lami's body. The people that were trying to attack the girls were either caught by the police or had ran away. "Sharon…I…" Lami said as the blood gushed out of the hole that was the bullet when through. "Don’t talk now…Please…The blood is coming out too much already…" Sharon said as she cried…her friend…one of her best friend…tried to save her…and this was the consequence… "I…want…want to…see….Dong…Dong…" Lami tried to say. "Ok, ok…I'll tell…tell someone to call him…" Sharon said as she wiped away the tears. "Lami…" Sharon whispered as she cried. "It's all my fault…Why does this always have to happen? First to my family and then to my friends…" Chibi had already called the boys and they were somewhere near that place so they arrived quickly. "Lami!" Dong Wan cried out as he ran down the street with the rest of the boys. The boys immediately went over to the girl they love and started to try to calm them down although they too were feeling tense. One of their best friends was nearly lying on the floor waiting for the ambulance to come in a puddle of blood. "Lami," Dong Wan said as he carried Lami's body carefully in his arms and held on to one of Lami's hands. "Dong…Dong Wan," Lami said in near a whisper. "Can…can I talk…talk…to…Sharon…first?" Dong Wan immediately nodded. "Lami," Sharon said as she wiped the tears away. "I'm sorry…" "Sharon…Don't…don't feel…feel…sorry…You're my…my friend…Of…of course…I have…have to save you…" Lami said slowly in the same low voice. "I don't…don't regret that…Don't feel…feel…guilty about…it…" She then looked over at Dong Wan. "Dong…Dong Wan…" "Lami," Dong Wan whispered as he held on to her tight and the tears fell. "I'm right here." "I…I feel…feel upset that…that I started off…off with you… with…a bad start…I really…really wish that we…we…were good friends…since…since the beginning…Can…can we make…a promise?" Dong Wan immediately nodded quickly. Lami forced a smile out. "If…if I don't…don't live…live through…this… Can…can you promise…me…that…we would…start off…as really good…and continue on…until…we fall…in love and then…be together…forever…till…the end?" "Yes, Lami…Don't talk too much now…You need to rest…I'll talk to you tomorrow…You can tell me tomorrow, right? We'll be together when you get better also. Don't worry about it," Dong Wan asked as he looked at Lami's pale face. "I…I can't," Lami said as the tears fell from the corner of her eyes. "I…I…don't know…know…if I…I can…go on to…to tomorrow…I have…have to…finish all…that I have…have to say…today…or else…I don't know…if…if I can…ever tell you about…this…" "Don't talk like that Lami…Please," Dong Wan said as he held on to her hand. "Promise…that…you would…live…a happy…life…if this…is the…end…for me?" Lami asked. Dong Wan immediately shook his head. "But I need you beside me," Dong Wan said as the tears increased. Lami shook her head weakly. "I don't…don't like…myself," Lami said with difficulty. They could all see that her breathing rate was lowering. "I…I didn't…even…notice that…that…I…love you…you…until…now…Dong Wan…I…love you." Her eyes closed after she breath out the last breath that she took in her life… "Lami?" Dong Wan whispered, in shock. He looked at her lifeless face and shook his head. "Lami? No…no…Lami…Don't…Lami…No…no…Lami…" He touched her face. It's still warm…no…she can't be…dead? How could she…"Lami!" Dong Wan screamed out in middle of the street…From a far distance, the sound of the ambulance could be heard… *********************************************** Chapter 38 "Lami…" Dong Wan whispered as he gently touched the picture and the name on the tombstone. It had been about a week since she had passed away. "I'm sorry, Dong Wan," Sharon said as she cried as Kang Ta held on to her. Dong Wan sighed. "She forgave you…That's all that matters…She told us all that she forgave you…I go along with what she says…If she said that she forgives you, then I forgive you also…" Dong Wan whispered without taking his eyes off of the tombstone. "How could you leave me like this? How can I be happy anymore? Lami…Do you know how much I love you, girl? And you expect me to live like this? You're torturing me…I love you, Lami…Always…always…" *********************************************** Sharon looked at the silent sky that was filled with stars. Lami loved looking at them. She remembered the time when the skies were so clear that almost every star could have been seen and Lami was so happy about it as she told them her dreams. How she wanted to find someone to get married…How she wanted to become a gasoo… Sharon sighed again. Suddenly, she felt someone stand next to her. She turned around and met up with Kang Ta's eyes. "You- " they both started out. Kang Ta gestured for her to start first. "You didn't go back to your house yet?" Sharon asked. Kang Ta shook his head. "What about Celeste?" Kang Ta shook his head again. "She could take care of herself," Kang Ta answered. "What do you mean by that? You took her back here and now you don't want to take care of her anymore so you just throw her aside?" Sharon asked. Kang Ta shook his head again. "One day, you would know what's happening. Although you probably already know what's happening," Kang Ta said with a gentle smile. Sharon looked at him in surprise. "How…how did you-" "I'll tell you one day," Kang Ta said. He gently raised his hand and touched her face. "I can't believe that you're standing here in front of me again." Sharon looked at him. "How were you these few months?" Sharon shook her head. "You wouldn't understand," Sharon said as she looked away. "I wanted to look for you and tell you that I believed you…But I couldn't find you anywhere," Kang Ta explained. "Can you at least forgive me just this once?" Sharon sighed again. "Please?" Kang Ta asked again with pleading eyes. "I promise you that I'll always believe you." "Let me think for a while, ok?" Sharon finally said. *********************************************** Midnight. "Where are we going?" Christina asked as her teeth chattered. It was getting cold at this time of the year. Right in the middle of the night, Clouds suddenly appeared at the place that Christina and Sung Mi were staying at and told them to go out with her. They were now sitting on the car of Clouds and going somewhere. "The graveyard," Clouds answered without turning her eyes away from the road. Christina and Sung Mi were both sitting in the back seat. She wasn't afraid of them attacking because she knows that they wouldn't and they couldn't. "What?" Sung Mi exclaimed out loud as both of the girls' eyes widened. Why were they going to the graveyard in the middle of the night? "I thought that you said that you wanted to see Lami," Clouds answered. "But in the middle of the night?" Christina asked. The tears were forming around her eyes again as the thought of the death of one of her best friends came to her mind again. "When else did you expect me to bring you people to the graveyard?" Clouds asked. "Anytime…but midnight? Not that we're afraid of Lami but…uh…" Sung Mi said. "Did you think that I was going to bring you in the daylight and let everyone see you so they could save you?" Clouds asked with a cold smile on her face. Christina and Sung Mi shook their heads at the same time. *********************************************** "What are you crazy, Dong Wan?" Hye Sung asked. "Dong Wan, Lami wouldn't be happy if you did this," Esther added. "I don't care," Dong Wan answered. "You have to think about it Dong Wan. We all know that you love Lami and everything but that doesn't mean that you have to do this in the middle of the night?" Christah said. "Can't you at least wait until tomorrow morning?" Esther asked. "I don't want to," Dong Wan answered through gritted teeth. "Dong Wan. Lami's not here anymore. No matter what you do, she's not coming back. Why don't you just follow what she told you to do and live happily?" Min Woo asked. "Dong Wan-" Eric was about to start. Suddenly, Dong Wan grabbed the scissors on the table and held it to his neck. "You people either let me go out tonight or I'm killing myself in front of you," Dong Wan threatened. "What did you dream about, Dong Wan?" Min Woo asked. Dong Wan didn't answer. "Dong Wan don't be like this," Kim started. She tried to take the scissors from Dong Wan but Dong Wan accidentally cut her. Dong Wan looked at the cut that he made momentarily in shock but then he quickly recovered. Eric rushed over to Kim and looked at the cut that she got on her wrist by the scissors. Dong Wan looked at the rest of the people in the room. "You didn't have to cut her like that!" Eric turned around and yelled at Dong Wan. "I'm going no matter what," Dong Wan repeated. He inched slowly toward the door. When he got to the door, he threw the scissors down and slammed the door shut behind him as they heard him run outside. Min Woo immediately called Hee Jun's house where the rest of the people were at that time. "Hee Jun hyung?" Min Woo said into the phone. "Dong Wan just ran out…He decided to sleep a little early today. He suddenly cried Lami's name a few times and woke up and he said that he must go out…We tried to stop him already…Kim already got hurt trying to stop him…He threatened to commit suicide…He went to the graveyard…" *********************************************** |
