Chapter 9 "So I'll see you tomorrow," Sharon said to Chibi and the rest of the girls as she walked out of the company. When she walked out, she saw Kang Ta waiting by his car. When he saw her, he stood up straight. "Um…I heard that your car is at the car repair, so…can I take you back to the hotel?" Kang Ta asked. Sharon looked at him and slowly nodded. They got into the car and drove away. "Thanks," Sharon suddenly said after a long period of silence. They were stopping due to a red light. "What?" Kang Ta asked from shock. "Thanks for helping me find Oppa," Sharon said. "It's…it's okay," Kang Ta said as a smile came to his face. "No really. I'm really grateful about that," Sharon said. "You deserve to be loved after so many things," Kang Ta said. Sharon smiled and looked at him. Kang Ta was looking at her. Then, the cars started to move again and it was again back to silence as Kang Ta turned his attention back to the road and Sharon to the outside views. "You…you know that I like you, right?" Kang Ta suddenly said. Sharon whipped her head around and looked at him. Kang Ta glanced at her and continued, "It's for real…I'm not lying…I really like you." Silence. "I'm not trying to take advantage of you!" Kang Ta said quickly. "I'm not trying to say that because I helped you, you have to like me…but I just don't to keep it there at my heart." Sharon looked at him and smiled gently. "I know that," Sharon said. Kang Ta looked at her. "You're not that kind of person…Do…do you really like me? I mean, I'm not sure whether or not I would be a good person to like because…if you liked someone like the other girls in the group, they have more feelings and they are more fun to be with." "I don't mind…I like you," Kang Ta said. "I really do." Then, something came to his mind. "Does…that mean that you accept me?" "No…You accepted me," Sharon said with a smile. *********************************************** "I told you that Kang Ta likes you!!!!" Audrey practically screamed over the telephone. "Okay, okay," Sharon said. "I know that already. "I'm so happy for you, Sharon!" Audrey said happily over the phone line. "I'm so glad that you're finally getting some of the love that is suppose to be yours." "Yeah…I know…I just hope that nothing would come and ruin that again," Sharon said gently. "Sharon…" Audrey didn't really know what to say. "I know that you are afraid but think of it the good way: That fire was just an accident." "I know…but nothing can be done if it really is fate," Sharon said with a sigh. "Don't worry, girl," Audrey said. "I hope that I don't have to." *********************************************** "Amazing how time passes after we met you people," Lami said to the members of H.O.T. and Shinhwa as she shook her head. She was good friends with Shinhwa but she still had a grudge against Dong Wan >.<. They were sitting in a room in SM with the rest of the members from Lami's group, Fae, Christah, and Esther. "Haha! Because we have these buffoons here," Eric said with a laugh, indicating Hee Jun, Min Woo, Dong Wan, and Jun Jin. "Hey! Who are you calling a buffoon?" Jun Jin demanded. "The four of you!" Eric said as he got up and ran to the farthest distance from the three of them. Min Woo, Hee Jun, Dong Wan, and Jun Jin looked at one another, jumped up, and ran over to Eric and attacked him. "Ah ha ha! Ah ha ha! I…I give up…okay people!" Eric said as he tried to catch his breath while the other people in the room laughed. "Hyung…" Andy suddenly said. The five boys that were playing with one another looked up at him. Andy kind of blushed before he continued, "I think that all five of you are buffoons!" The five guys looked at one another. "Attack him!" they yelled out together as Andy ran into the bathroom and locked the door, which caused the rest of the people to laugh so hard that some of them were on the floor already. "Hehe…I…I really enjoy time with them," Christina said as she continued to laugh. "Me too," Chibi said as she wiped a tear from the corner of the eyes. "That's Hee Jun," Woo Hyuk said. "He's always like that. He never changes." "That's good though," Audrey said. "At least people can have some fun everyday." They all nodded as they look at Hee Jun, Min Woo, Dong Wan, and Jun Jin who finally ignored Andy, who's still in the bathroom, and started to fool around again. "People!" they suddenly heard a voice. "Is the car here yet?" It was Andy, who was still inside the bathroom. People started to laugh again. "No Andy! When the car's here, we'll send Hee Jun, Dong Wan, Jun Jin, and Min Woo to tell you," Fae called in. "No~ Fae! Please don't be so mean to me?" Andy pleaded. "It's like the first time that he ever laughed at his hyung?" Audrey asked Tony. Tony shook his head. "He's like that when there's no one else there," Tony answered. "Hi people!" a girl's voice suddenly said. The people turned around. "Shoo!" the people called out together. "The car's downstairs waiting," Eugene said as she walked up behind Shoo. "Are you people ready?" Sea asked. "Of course," the people answered together. The people then went out of the door. "Andy~ If you don't come out soon, we'll leave without you~" Jun Jin said "sweetly" to the bathroom door. "Um…Hyung? You can go down first…I'll come soon," Andy answered inside. *********************************************** Hee Jun's cell phone suddenly rang during the car ride. "Hello?" Hee Jun answered. "Fany? What's up?…What do you mean don't go to the party?…What? What in the world do you mean there's a…I don’t get you…Fany! Can you explain it more clearly?… Huh?… What do you mean it's not the right time!?" Hee Jun almost screamed into the phone. He then hung up. "What happened?" Christah, Min Woo's girlfriend, asked. "Fany just called and said that we have to go to his house first…He has something to tell us," Hee Jun said. "That's no problem," Esther, Hye Sung's girlfriend, answered. "We are a little early anywhere," Christina added. "So we go?" Hee Jun asked Woo Hyuk and Sharon since it was a celebration of the reunion of them. "Yeah, sure. Why not?" Woo Hyuk answered. "Is it okay for you?" he asked Sharon. "Whatever," Sharon answered as she continued to look out the window. "If you don't want to, we can go directly to the house," Hee Jun answered. "He just told me that it's too dangerous to go to the house now so…I really don't know." "How would he know if there's danger at the house right now?" Christah asked with a frown. "I have no clue," Hee Jun said. "I heard from the back that Brian told him to tell us to go to Fany's house first…I think he'll tell us when we get there… *********************************************** Fany's House. The doorbell rang and Fany went to open the door. "Hee Jun Hyung?" Hee Jun and the rest of the people were now all in front of Fany's house. They came in two vans altogether. (chilhyun1979: too much people…) "You told us to come here, right?" Hee Jun said. "Yeah…well…Not exactly me. Brian told me to call you people here," Fany answered. "Where is he right now?" Kang Ta asked. "He's in my room in front of my computer…" Fany answered as the people went directly to his room. *********************************************** "Brian?" Hee Jun called out as he stuck his head through the door first. "Hee Jun Hyung?" Brian answered. "Can you come in first?" "Oh okay. The rest of the people are here also," Hee Jun said. "Tell them to wait outside first? It'll be quick," Brian said. Hee Jun looked at him for a while and turned around to the other people. "Then…we'll wait for you people downstairs, okay?" Woo Hyuk answered. "I'm so sorry Hyukkie. I really didn't mean to stop you from having your celebration," Brian said as he glanced at Sharon quickly and placed his view back on Woo Hyuk. "Don't worry about it. We can have a party any time," Woo Hyuk said. "Right, Sharon?" Sharon nodded. "We'll be down in a few minutes," Brian said. *********************************************** "I wonder what they are talking about in the room?" Esther said. Hye Sung put his arms around Esther's shoulders. "We'll just have to wait," Hye Sung said with a sigh. Suddenly, the door from the room that Brian and Hee Jun clicked open. Hee Jun and Brian looked grimly at everyone. "What happened?" Dong Wan asked. Hee Jun looked at everyone and finally he settled his eyes on Sharon. Sharon looked at him questioningly. "Brian, can you tell us what happened now?" Chibi said. "Sharon…" Hee Jun suddenly said. "Yes?" Sharon answered. "Do you think that you can go out and buy us some soda before we start? It's a few blocks down the street," Hee Jun said with a smile. "…Sure…why not?" Sharon said with a smile. She had a feeling that they wanted to talk about something that they didn't want her to know about…She then started out the door when Kang Ta stopped her. "Wait! I'll go with you," Kang Ta said. "Kang Ta! Stay here," Hee Jun said. Kang Ta looked at him weirdly. "It's…It's a pretty safe neighborhood around here." Kang Ta then looked at Sharon. "Don't worry about me," Sharon said reassuringly as she kissed him on the cheeks and left the house. "Can you people please come to the basement with me?" Brian asked. "Fany, please keep a lookout here, okay?" Fany nodded. "Why?" Kang Ta asked. He figured out that they made Sharon go out first on purpose. "I'll tell you when we go downstairs," Brian said. *********************************************** Chapter 10 "NO!!!!! I WOULD NOT BELIEVE THAT EVER!!!!!" "Kang Ta! Calm down!" Hee Jun said as he tried to hold Kang Ta back from Brian. "WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO HER? DIDN'T SHE GET ENOUGH ALREADY? WHAT DID SHE EVER DO TO YOU!!!!????" Kang Ta yelled. "She didn't do anything to me and I didn't do this because I'm against her. I have the evidence and it's right here," Brian said as he threw a stack of pictures on to the table. "I don't believe that. I don't believe that," Kang Ta kept repeating under his breath. He was breathing hard now. Then, he looked at Brian and said, "I would not believe that in a million years!!!!!!!!" "I can't believe it neither…She's not that kind of person," Audrey said. "I knew her all my life…She's not that kind of person." She looked at Woo Hyuk. His face was whiter than a piece of paper. Chibi was holding on to his hand and looking at his face with a worried look. "She's not like that…I won't believe it either…She's my sister…She would not do that to me and to the rest of the group," Woo Hyuk said firmly. "Besides, the friends that she ever had are all there today. She would not do that," Christah said. "I know that I only knew her a few days but I know that she is nice. She might seem cold on the outside but she's not that cold at all after you know her." "I have the exact same feelings as Christah. She wouldn't even hurt animals let alone humans," Esther said. "Exactly! Especially after she found out that Woo Hyuk is her brother," Lami added. "She would never do that," Fae added. "I know what kind of person she is. Although I didn't know her as long as Audrey, I believe that she would not do that." *********************************************** Sharon came back to Fany's house and saw all the people in the living room looking at her. She looked at them questioningly. "Sharon…" Kang Ta called out. "Can I talk to you for a few minutes?" Sharon looked at him and nodded with a light smile. They walked into the kitchen. Hee Jun was about to stop Kang Ta from getting too close from Sharon but Brian stopped Hee Jun. "Let her go with him. She can't do to much when there's so many people here," Brian said. *********************************************** Sharon was putting the sodas into the refrigerator as Kang Ta stood there looking at her with painful eyes. His love…He wished that he could ask her and she would tell him that none of what Brian said was true…But the pictures… "I thought you wanted to tell me something," Sharon said as she continued putting the stuff into the refrigerator. "I…" Kang Ta really didn't know what to say. How can he ask her? Sharon looked at him and smiled. "What's wrong with you today?" Sharon said as she stood up and looked at his face. "You're usually not like this. There's something wrong?" she asked as she felt his head. "Nothing wrong…" Kang Ta looked at her. "Forget about it," Kang Ta said as he turned his head away. What if she admitted it? He didn't want to hear her say it. He didn't want to hear her admit it. It was too painful to him. Sharon shrugged. "If you say so," Sharon answered as she went back to putting the stuff into the refrigerator as Kang Ta thought back of what Brian told them. *********************************************** *What happened in the basement* "Listen to me, people. I'm not trying to tell you that she is but I'm just trying to get everyone to sit down and discuss this," Brian said. "Woo Hyuk Hyung, think about it. You haven't seen her since she was five years old. How much do you know about the changes that she had during these years? Audrey, you don't live with her. She always stays alone by herself, doesn't she? Same thing with you, Fae and Lami. Not to mention that Kang Ta, Esther, and Christah didn't know her for a long time. How long did you people know her? One week? Or two weeks? How about three weeks at most? She could be acting to eliminate any chance of being known of her true identity. I know that she's your girl, Kang Ta, but think about it: You don't know her. You two didn't get together for too long. At most just one week." "I still don't believe it," Kang Ta said. "Those pictures…They were taken in the dark…" Woo Hyuk was saying. "I have more proof than that," Brian said. Everyone looked at him. "Don't believe me? She's part of the International Secret Society Of Killers, also called the Messengers of Death. I know someone from there. I saw all of the pictures of the killers in the group…All of them hardly had any failures in their mission…" All of the people were paying close attention to him now. "I just met with my friend yesterday after she completed what she had to do…He gave me this picture…" He then took a picture out of his jacket. It was a picture of a girl, aiming her gun at a person that was not shown in the picture. The girl looked exactly like Sharon. "I would not lie about something like this. This is a matter of life and death people. The people from the group do the mission for the money, not the for feelings." The other people were wordless. The girl in the picture was definitely Sharon. "She's the coldest from the group, the most skilled, the most vengeful, the most in all categories except in failure." He looked at everyone at the table. "And do you know what is her mission this time?" People looked at him. "The life of the members of H.O.T." Kang Ta fell into the chair that was right behind him as Woo Hyuk just looked at the picture with disbelief. *********************************************** Kang Ta followed Sharon out of the kitchen. All of them looked at Sharon. Some of them with a kind of fear that they wanted to hide but Sharon still noticed it. "Is something wrong?" Sharon asked. The people immediately shook their head. "You are a killer," Brian said straightforwardly. Sharon looked at him. "What do you mean?" Sharon asked as she looked at the rest of the people. The rest of people omitted her look. "You are from the Messengers of Death," Brian continued. "We have proof that you are. And your mission is the life of the members of H.O.T." "What are you talking about?" Sharon asked. "Don't lie anymore, Sharon," Brian added. "I have a friend from there." "Who?" Sharon asked, confused, or at least to the other people, pretended to be confused. "You think that I'll betray him and let you know who he is so you can get revenge on him?" Brian asked. "I'm not that stupid. You were the one who killed that man whose body was found in the gutter without the head." "I really don't know what are you talking about," Sharon said. She then looked at Kang Ta. "Do you believe that it's me?" Kang Ta looked away from her. He believed that she is, Sharon knows that. She felt a pain that resembles a knife cutting into her heart that made it almost impossible for her to breathe. She then looked at Woo Hyuk, her oppa, and ran over to him. "Oppa…I'm your sister. You know me, right? You won't believe that I'm what he says I am, right?" Woo Hyuk looked painfully away. Sharon stepped backwards slowly, step by step. "All of you believe that I am…All of you…my oppa…my best friends… you…" indicating Kang Ta. Brian took out the stack of pictures. "This was taken last night when you placed the bomb in the house. Once someone turned the lights on, the whole house would bomb," Brian said. "You can't clearly see the person in the picture," Sharon said as she shook her head. She still didn't recover from the shock from earlier of Kang Ta's and Woo Hyuk's distrust in her. "You need other proof," Brian concluded. He took out the picture of her aiming the gun at someone. "This was your last mission." Sharon stared at the picture. The face was hers, or at least looked like her. "That's not me," Sharon said immediately, although she knew that the girl looked exactly like her. "You still want to lie! Anyone looking at the picture would know that it's you," Brian said. "None of you believe me…" Sharon said as the tears came from her eyes. "It's very hard to, Sharon. We know that you are Woo Hyuk's sister…But with all these evidence?" Fany said. "Woo Hyuk…Kang Ta…I just have one last question for you two…" Sharon said as she looked painfully at the two boys. "Do you believe me? I just want to know if the two of you believe me." She looked at them, still crying. Then, in a voice near a whisper, she said, "All I want is to know that you two believe me." She then looked at the two of them again. Both of them didn't answer. They didn't believe her. They really didn't believe her. Sharon took one last look at them two and ran out of the door. "Should we go after her?" Fany asked Brian. Brian shook his head. "There's no point to it. Besides, if just one of us goes up to her, there's a danger of being killed," Brian said. "As I have said before, she's the most skilled. It's too dangerous for just one of us to encounter her." Kang Ta then started out the door. Brian pulled him back. "Where are you going?" Brian asked Kang Ta. "I'm going to find her," Kang Ta said. "I told you, she has the ability to kill someone with her bare hands," Brian said. "I don't believe that it's her," Kang Ta said. "You saw those-" "I DON'T CARE ABOUT THOSE STUPID EVIDENCES!!! DIDN'T YOU SEE HOW UPSET SHE WAS!!!!!?????" Kang Ta yelled. "SHE CAN BE ACTING IT ALL OUT!" Brian yelled back. He wanted to believe that Sharon wasn't the one but he couldn't risk the life of his hyung. Woo Hyuk buried his face into his hands. "What can I do?" Kang Ta whispered as the tears came from his eyes and he dropped to the floor. "Sharon…" *********************************************** Chapter 11 "Hello? I need Room Number 168…Um…Chang…Sharon Chang," Esther said into the telephone. "She checked out already?…Thank you." She then hung up the phone. "She's not in the hotel?" Kang Ta immediately asked. "No," Esther said. "They said that she booked out already." "Where did she go?" Kang Ta said to himself as he slumped back into the seat. "Where did she go? Where can she go?" He then looked at Audrey and he grabbed her arm. "You're her best friend. You should know where she is. Can you tell me? Please! Please, can you think about anywhere that she might be?" Tony then pulled Audrey away from Kang Ta. "Calm down, Kang Ta. Nothing would happen to her," Tony tried to convince him. "What if she's not what you people say she is? What if she doesn't have the ability to protect herself from those people out there? She's a girl!" Kang Ta said. "Kang Ta…She checked out by herself," Hee Jun said. "Still…" Kang Ta didn't know what else to say. He should have told her that he believed her. He should have tried to make her stay. "Don't worry, ok?" Jae Won said to Kang Ta. "We'll try to find her for you, ok? There's so many of us and there's only one of her. It wouldn't be that hard to find her out, right?" *********************************************** Three months later. It's been three months already. Where are you, Sharon? Don't you know that I miss you so much? Do you know that you're going to drive me crazy soon? Can't you give me a chance to apologize to you? Those were the questions that kept going through Kang Ta's mind as he looked out the airplane window without seeing things. His concentration was somewhere else. He then closed his eyes heartbreakingly and opened them again to look out the window again. "Will all passengers please fasten your seatbelts. We are now…" that was the flight attendant. "That was a long ride," Fae said as she stretched. She was sitting next to Jae Won throughout the flight. Over the three months, they had found out that they had feelings for one another^^. Christina was sitting next to Hee Jun since they had so much to talk about and Audrey sat next to Tony. At the beginning, the other people were all laughing at the two of them, but after a little while on this long flight, they decided to stop. Lami, unfortunately for her, had to sit next to Dong Wan and throughout the whole flight, the other passengers had to yell at them to be quiet. As of right now… "Would you get your feet off of me already!!!???" Lami yelled at Dong Wan. "Are you trying to break my eardrums!?" Dong Wan yelled back. "I'm not on your feet! I didn't turn into a bookbag over the flight!" "Oh my God," Chibi said as she slapped her forehead with her right hand. She was sitting next to Woo Hyuk. "Not you two again." "Get use to it," Esther, who was sitting next to Hye Sung, answered. "You're going to become insane if you don't," Christah, next to Min Woo, added. "Just ignore them," Grace said. She then stole a glance at Kang Ta. She was the person who was taken in to take the place of Sharon in the group after she left. She also liked Kang Ta. Almost everyone knows that she likes Kang Ta but Kang Ta kept his heart for Sharon. It's already three months but it seems as if the memories of her were from yesterday. If Jun Jin didn't sit next to him, she would have taken that seat already. If only Kang Ta would show a little of interest to her…Not that Grace was not beautiful. In fact, she had a really pretty face. She really wanted to see how this Sharon looked like…The girl that took Kang Ta's heart and still kept it… "Kang Ta?" Jun Jin tried to get Kang Ta's attention. Kang Ta looked at him. "You have to put on your seatbelt…" Kang Ta nodded and did that. Jun Jin looked at him and sighed. The old friend that he had was gone. Replacing him is a person who doesn't smile, doesn't laugh, and mind is always somewhere else. Almost like a replica of Sharon when she first came to SM…After Sharon left, Kang Ta changed. He totally changed to someone that the people could not recognize as "Kang Ta" anymore. He's still nice and everything but he refuse to have a sign of happiness anymore. After Sharon left, there were still attempts to kill H.O.T but thankfully to Brian's friend in the Messengers of Death, they never succeeded. They were now on the plane to the US where they would be holding a concert (They as in H.O.T, S.E.S, Shinhwa, F2TS, Boa, Fae, and the group that Sharon use to be in). *********************************************** At the backstage of the place where the people from SM are going to perform on. "Excuse me," a person said as he knocked on the door and came in. "What happened?" Hee Jun asked. "There's a girl who said that she needs to go to the front row because her friend is blind and needs her help…" the person said. H.O.T looked at one another. "We just figured out that she's not handicapped in any way right now…" The front rows of the place were suppose to be for people who were handicapped. "And they are sitting at the very first row." "Are you sure that her friend is handicapped?" Hye Sung asked. "Yes. They have a proof that her friend is handicapped." "Then why not?" Min Woo said. "She already bought the ticket anyway," Eric said. "Be careful next time though." "Sorry." *********************************************** "And now, the song dedicated to all the handicapped people, 'Outside Castle'," the announcer said. H.O.T then came out and performed the song. After the song, H.O.T came and stood on the stage to talk to the audience. "We are really glad to be here," Hee Jun said. "Are you people having fun?" Tony asked as the audience screamed back "Yes." "That's good. We hope that-" Kang Ta suddenly stopped his sentence and all the movement that he was having or were about to have stopped and he stared straight ahead into the audience. "You people are having as much fun as we are," Hee Jun immediately continued for him as he glanced at Kang Ta. He was looking at someone from the audience. He tried to make out who Kang Ta was looking at when Tony was talking but the lights in the audience slowly dimmed. They were suppose to perform "We Can Do It" but throughout the whole performance, Kang Ta's concentration was somewhere else, something that didn't happened to him before. Yes, during the three months that Sharon was gone, he did lose his concentration sometimes, but never during a performance. It was always in the backstage or something like that. Never on the stage. The other members noticed it also and kept trying their best to cover up for Kang Ta and successfully did that. This was the first time that happened and Hee Jun had a bad feeling about it as he looked at Kang Ta who kept on looking at something or someone in the audience… *********************************************** "Oppa…you stopped right in the middle of your sentence…Was there something wrong?" Grace asked as she looked at Kang Ta, who didn't reply to her. "Oppa?" "Kang Ta!" Hee Jun called out as he walked out from the changing room and went up straight to Kang Ta. He turned Kang Ta around and made Kang Ta face him. "Who did you see in the audience?" Kang Ta looked at him and didn't answer. Suddenly, one of the person came in. "Hee Jun!" he called out. Hee Jun let Kang Ta go and looked at the person. "What happened?" Hee Jun asked. "A girl who is handicapped with her friend wants to come in and say thank you to you. We didn't let her but she insists on it so we came in to ask you…" Hee Jun thought for a while. "Okay," Hee Jun finally said. The person then went out. Hee Jun then turned back to Kang Ta. "Who did you see?" "Hyung…This never happened to you before," Jae Won said as the rest of the people looked at Kang Ta. There was then a knock on the door and the door opened. All the people looked at the person at the door. They stood where they were in shock. *********************************************** |
