Chapter 18 "Who do you think did that?" Shin Ji asked Mushi and Tiffany.  They both shrugged. "I think it might be someone who wants to get close to Kang Ta," Mushi said as Tiffany nodded. "How did she get the gold pendant though?" Tiffany asked. "You tell me," Shin Ji said.  "She probably saw it before or something." "But how many people know about the relationship of Kang Ta and Sharon?" Mushi asked. "You never know," Shin Ji answered.  "They walk around like all the time together so a lot of people can see them together." *********************************************** "You are nice," a female voice said to another female.  One of them was the killer sent to kill H.O.T.  The one that just talk is a different person.  They were sitting in a car. "It's none of your business, Hanna," the female said. "Ok," the female named Hanna answered.  "I'm just curious about why would you do that?" "I have my own ways of completing my missions," the female said coldly. "I have no idea how would the news of the death of Sharon have any effect on the successfulness of the mission," Hanna said with a smile.  The other female stared at her. "What are you suggesting?" she asked. "I think that you fell in love with Kang Ta who is part of your mission," Hanna stated.  She looked at the female and continued, "Don't tell me that it's not true.  I know that you were happy when he showed some feelings toward you." "And you think that I don't know you like Woo Hyuk Oppa?" the female asked.  Hanna looked at her and laughed. "Did I ever say that I would deny it?" Hanna asked. "Because you can't," the female said as she crossed her arms. "Well good then.  We can't say anything about one another.  Just a word of caution, the Messengers of Death are not allowed to fall in love.  I'm different from you people.  I never joined the Messengers of Death," Hanna said.  "I just do whatever I feel like doing."  The female looked at her.  Hanna continued, "I know.  You don't really want to be in it either." "I never said that," the female said. "I notice things that don't have to be said," Hanna said.  "Like the time when you liked Alex.  I noticed that before you admitted it." "Good for you," the female said as she turned to leave, ignoring the last two sentences from Hanna. "Leaving so early?" Hanna asked. "So you have a chance to go meet up with Woo Hyuk Oppa," the female answered. "How did you know about my little plans?" Hanna asked with a smile. "You should know that Chibi has feelings for him and he has some kind of feelings for Chibi," the female said. "Big deal," Hanna said.  "I told you that I do whatever I like to do.  Didn't I tell you that already?" *********************************************** "Help!" Woo Hyuk heard a girl yell from somewhere.  Woo Hyuk looked around when the girl yelled again.  "Would someone please help me?"  Then he heard a man's voice threaten the girl. "You yell again and your pretty little face would be gone, you hear me?" the man threatened.  Woo Hyuk then looked around and quick as he can.  He finally came to this place and saw a man that was about to rape a girl!  He immediately went up and beat the guy up. "Be careful!" the girl yelled to Woo Hyuk.  "He has a knife."  Woo Hyuk then grabbed the man's hand and forced the man to drop the knife from pain.  He then beat up the man and held on to him. "Call the police," Woo Hyuk said calmly as he held on to the man.  The man's eyes widened. "It's…It's ok," the girl said.  "You can let him go.  I don't think that he would do it again." "Are you kidding me?" Woo Hyuk asked as he glanced at her.  The girl then looked back at him.  She then fell to the floor.  Woo Hyuk loosened his grip on the man.  The man took this chance and ran away as Woo Hyuk went over to see what's wrong with the girl.  "What happened?" he asked.  The girl looked at him with a look of pain on her face. "I think I twisted my ankle when I was running away from him," the girl said. "Is there anything that I can help you with?" Woo Hyuk asked. "Is there anywhere that I can rest for a while?" the girl asked.  Woo Hyuk then thought for a while before he answered. "My house is somewhere around here," Woo Hyuk started slowly.  The girl looked at him.  "If you don't mind that is." "Okay," the girl said after a moment of pause.  "I guess I should ask you for your name?"  Woo Hyuk looked at her with surprise. "You don't live in Korea?" Woo Hyuk asked.  Hardly anyone in Korea would not know him.  The girl shook her head. "I just came back from the US," the girl said. "Oh," Woo Hyuk answered.  He then smiled and said, "My name is Woo Hyuk." "My name is Hanna." *********************************************** "Woo Hyuk!  Is it you!?" Tony called out from his room when he heard the door close.  He then walked out of his room and saw Woo Hyuk with Hanna.  "Uh…Woo Hyuk?  Why in the world did you bring a girl with you?"  Woo Hyuk looked at him. "She hurt her ankle when someone was trying to rape her," Woo Hyuk answered. "Oh!" Tony said as he nodded.  Then he seemed to remember something.  "Woo Hyuk, did you see the news today yet?"  Woo Hyuk shook his head.  Tony then sat down next to Woo Hyuk and looked at him grimly. "I'm going to tell you something and I want you to calm down first," Tony said.  Woo Hyuk looked at him again. "What happened?"  Woo Hyuk asked.  He was getting a little bit tense already.  Tony looked at him and sighed.  He then took out a newspaper article.  Woo Hyuk immediately grabbed the newspaper and read what it said.  His face turned whiter and whiter as he read each sentence.  "It's not true," Woo Hyuk said with a whisper.  He looked at Tony.  "Tony…tell me it's not true…Tell me that this is just a joke!" Woo Hyuk said.  Tony just looked away. *********************************************** "Hello?" Christina answered the phone with a sleepy voice.  It was three o' clock in the morning. "Is…Is this Christina?" the person from the other side of the phone asked. "Yes," Christina replied as she gave another yawn. "Can…can you go over to Kang Ta oppa's house now?" the girl from the other side of the phone asked. "Why?" Christina asked as all of the sleepiness from her went away.  "And who are you?" "This is Yu Mee.  You know, the best friend of Celeste," the girl answered.  "I just got a call from Celeste that Kang Ta oppa locked himself in the bathroom for the whole day already and didn't come out." *********************************************** Chapter 19 "Hello, this is Gina.  If you have something to say, please say it now so I can go back to sleep.  If you have nothing to say, please hang up," Gina said into the phone.  Who's calling in the middle of the night? "Hello?" the person from the other side of the phone replied.  "This is Andy." "Andy?" Gina repeated.  Since when does she know an Andy?  Wait!  There was an Andy that came with Eric to ask her to check on that girl.  Why in the world is he calling her at this time?  "I'm sorry that…I called you at this time," Andy said.  (chilhyun1979: If only she could see him blushing on the other side of the phone^^…) "I forgive you…Why did you call?" Gina asked. "I just want to ask you if you found any new information about Celeste," Andy answered. "I'll fax it over to Eric tomorrow.  He has a fax right?  At least I remember that he gave me one when he filled out the form for me," Gina said. "Yeah," Andy answered. "Anything else?" Gina asked.  Shouldn't he be saying, "Thank you! Bye!"? "I just want to ask if we would see you again," Andy said, blushing even harder on the other side of the phone. Oh my God!  Don't tell me that this guy likes me?  Gina thought. "Yeah, I guess," Gina replied. "And…do you have time tomorrow?" Andy asked. "Why?" Gina asked. "I…the group that I'm in…Shinhwa…is having a performance…so…I want to ask if you…would want to go see," Andy stuttered.  A moment of silence. "Sure," Gina answered as she slowly got all the information into her brain.  That was a little bit hard for her though…It sounds as if this guy really likes her… "That would be three tickets then, right?" Andy asked. "Yeah," Gina answered. "Then…see you tomorrow," Andy said. "Bye," Gina said.  She then hung up the phone and sat there for a few minutes to digest the words that he just said. *********************************************** In the morning (6 o' clock). The people from SM except for Woo Hyuk, Tony, Chibi, and Audrey were standing in front of Kang Ta's house.  Tony was at home looking after Woo Hyuk.  Chibi was worried about Woo Hyuk and Audrey was helping Tony. "Kang Ta!" Hee Jun called out.  He was getting tense because he could only hear Celeste crying from inside.  At least some one open the door!  Finally, the door opened. "Hee Jun oppa?" Celeste asked.  She was crying. "Yes," Hee Jun answered.  "How's Kang Ta?" "He…he went…into the bathroom…and locked himself…in there…since the night…before yesterday," Celeste said as she cried again. "He stayed in the bathroom for one day?" Andy asked. "You wouldn't expect him to stay in his own room when Celeste is sleeping in there would you?" Min Woo asked.  Andy nodded.  Hee Jun and Jae Won had already went in front of the bathroom door and was knocking on the door. "Kang Ta!" Hee Jun called out.  He pressed his ears against the door to check if there were any sounds but there were none. "Kang Ta hyung!" Jae Won called.  Now, the rest of the people except for Celeste and Christina came over to the door because Celeste was blind and Christina was looking after her. "What happened?" Christina asked. "The other day…the tv was on…and suddenly…there was a news about…a girl who died…with a gold pendant…they showed the pendant on the news…why Kang Ta oppa…saw it…he stood there in shock…I called out for him…and he ran into the bathroom…and locked it," Celeste said as the tears came down again. "It doesn't look like he would be out in any time soon," Hye Sung said. "Kang Ta!  If you don't come out, I'm going to break the door," Hee Jun threatened. "You might hurt him if he's right behind the door, Hee Jun hyung," Jae Won said.  Hee Jun looked at him and then back at the door. "Should we call the security or something?" Jun Jin asked. "And let the whole world know about this?" Hee Jun asked. "What are we going to do now?" Dong Wan asked. *********************************************** In the bathroom. Kang Ta was looking at the picture that he took with Sharon and crying again.  The difference was that the tears had fell for one day and one night already…She's gone forever now…Kang Ta gently placed a kiss on the picture of Sharon… "Why did you leave me?  Why did you decided to leave me all alone and go forever?" Kang Ta asked in a voice almost a whisper to the Sharon in the picture.  "You know that you just killed me mentally and my heart?  I'm dying from the pain…"  He touched her face in the picture gently.  How weird in that the memories comes back like a flood!  The time when he first saw her in the hallway, the time when she was buying water at the machine, the time when they went out to dinner, the time when she smiled because her friends were having fun, the time when she finally told him her secret, the time when she was happy because she found out that Woo Hyuk was her brother, the time when she finally promised to be his…That was one of the two memories that are the most vivid in his mind.  He remembered how she blushed and smiled…the way that she nodded…The other memory was the time when she asked him if he believed in her…He should have told her that he believed her…He shouldn't have been pulled back by Brian…He should have ran after her, pull her into his arms, and tell her that he believed her…maybe all of this would not have happened…maybe they would find evidence that she's not a killer…but…it's all too late now… "Kang Ta!" now, all the people are calling for him. He didn't want the attention…Maybe two days ago, he would have wanted the attention from Sharon… but…that would never happen again…She left him to a far place…Uncontrollably, the tears came down again. "Kang Ta oppa!" Celeste called from outside the bathroom door.  Kang Ta looked up.  Was that Sharon or Celeste? No…It's Celeste…Sharon would never call him oppa…Kang Ta smiled bitterly at the thought of her… "Kang Ta!"  She would never put the oppa at the end.  He was selfish, he told himself for the millionth time.  He couldn't help it.  He kept Celeste by his side because he was selfish.  He just wanted to find signs of Sharon from Celeste.  However, Sharon is still Sharon, and Celeste could never be the replacement even if she tried. "Kang Ta oppa…please…at least answer us," Celeste said.  Kang Ta looked up again.  She's crying.  He could hear it from her voice.  Sharon doesn’t cry that much.  The only time that she cried was when she told him what happened and the day that she found out that Woo Hyuk was her brother.  She looked as if she was a strong and independent girl…but actually, she was really sensitive and dependent…That was what he found out afterwards…Was she dependent on him or was he dependent on her?  He didn't know for sure…Sorry…He wanted to apologize to Celeste…but would apologizing help at all?  He didn't mean to lie to her. Kang Ta looked at the picture again at Sharon and gently touched the face in the picture again.  "Do you know that I wanted to tell you that I believe you?" he said in a whisper again.  "But you left for the first time…I thought that maybe you just wanted a little time of your own…to cool off…that I'll see you again one day…I was wrong again…This time…"  The tears fell again.   The news was killing his heart, burning it mercilessly.  He could not lie to himself that the news never occurred.  He saw it with his own eyes.  "I want to hear you call me again…Celeste is different you know that?…She could never take your place…ever…you are the only one…" The tears fell down again…Some of which fell on the picture… *********************************************** Chapter 20 Who in the world is she?  That was Chibi's first thought when she entered Woo Hyuk and Tony's house.  There was a girl who was sitting next to Woo Hyuk trying to comfort.  Chibi couldn't help but feel uncomfortable. "Woo Hyuk oppa," the girl said gently.  Woo Hyuk looked straight ahead without answering.  Chibi sat down in the other seat that was next to him. "Woo Hyuk," Chibi called out.  Woo Hyuk looked up at her. "You heard the news?" Woo Hyuk asked hoarsely.  Chibi nodded.  Woo Hyuk nodded also.  "Do you think that it's her?"  Chibi didn't know how to answer.  She felt that there was too much times that she didn't know how to answer Woo Hyuk's questions.  If she answered that she think that it's her, Woo Hyuk would probably break down.  If she answered no, she would be lying to him and she didn't want to do that.  Woo Hyuk looked at her for an answer.  Chibi finally nodded.  Woo Hyuk looked at her for a few minutes and then sighed.  Chibi then saw something that she thought she would never see: Woo Hyuk cried.  He had tears going down from his eyes.  The girl beside him immediately wiped them away before Chibi had a chance to do anything. "Woo Hyuk oppa, don't feel so upset," the girl said.  "I know how you feel."  Woo Hyuk looked at her. *********************************************** "Tony…" Audrey called out to Tony, who was in the kitchen.  Tony turned around and looked at her.  Audrey walked over to him and in a low voice asked him, "Do you think that the girl is really here to just wait till her ankle feels a little better?"  Tony looked at her for a second and then shook his head honestly. "I have a feeling that she's after Woo Hyuk," Tony answered. "That's what I was thinking," Audrey said with a sigh.  "You know that Woo Hyuk and Chibi kind of have feelings for one another right?"  Tony nodded. "Anyone would notice," Tony answered.  "On Woo Hyuk's protect list, the number one place before was Sharon because she's his sister so we can't say anything about that but Chibi is on his second place.  After she went away, Chibi became the list's number one place."  Audrey nodded. "What are we going to do about it?" Audrey asked.  "If the girl is really after Woo Hyuk…we might have some trouble." "I know," Tony said.  He then turned, looked at Audrey with a smile, and gently touched her face.  "We'll think of a way.  Don't worry." *********************************************** "Where are you going, Lami?" Chibi asked as she walked out of the bathroom.  They were back at their house now because the rest of H.O.T members and Shinhwa were looking after Woo Hyuk and Kang Ta.  Chibi and Audrey came back from Woo Hyuk's house and Lami, Christine, and Fae came back from Kang Ta's house. "I'm going out for a walk," Lami said with a sigh. "Too much pressure, right?" Fae asked.  Lami nodded. "I know what you mean," Christine said with a sigh.  "There are too many things happening now.  First Sharon, then Kang Ta, then Celeste, and now Sharon and Kang Ta." "I just hope that all of this would end soon," Audrey said as she leaned back on to the sofa.  The rest of the girls nodded. "So, I'm going out now," Lami said.  "See you guys later." *********************************************** Dong Wan decided to come out for a walk.  There were too many things happening all at once.  How many things had happened?  He could not keep count anymore.  He walked up to a little coffee shop and he decided to go in for a little rest before returning to Woo Hyuk's house.  Min Woo, Eric, and he were at Woo Hyuk's house to help Tony and Jae Won look after Woo Hyuk while the rest of the people were at Kang Ta's house. He walked into the coffee shop and found out that there was actually a second floor so he decided to go up there.  There was no one at the second floor.  Good.  He needed the silence.  He sat in the chair that was near to the window but not near enough so that the people could see him. Suddenly, he heard footsteps coming up the stairs.  He looked up and his eyes met with Lami's. "You…" the two of  them said at the same time.  Dong Wan decided to let her speak first. "It's ok," Lami answered with a light smile.  "You can say it first." "I just wanted to know why were you here so late," Dong Wan decided to listen to her because they would probably keep telling the other side to speak first and they would spend the whole night doing that or else they would probably end up in a fight again. "I was going to ask the same question," Lami said.  Dong Wan then asked her to sit down.  Lami, for the first time, decided to do what he asked her to do.^^ "Pressure?" Dong Wan asked as he drank the drink that he had just called.  Lami nodded.  Dong Wan then nodded.  "Me too."  Lami looked at him and suddenly laughed.  Dong Wan looked at her. "Did you ever notice that we never sat down and talked like this before?" Lami asked as she continued to laugh.  Dong Wan then thought about it and then start laughing and nodding at the same time. "Don't you feel that it's sometimes good this way also?" Dong Wan asked.  Lami looked at him and slowly nodded. "I…I want to say…that I'm sorry," Lami finally said.  Dong Wan looked at her in surprise.  "I saw the guy that was about to drive into me…He was rushing to the hospital that day."  Dong Wan then smiled and nodded.  "Do…do you forgive me?" "Is there any reason not to?" Dong Wan asked.  Lami then smiled again.  Dong Wan got attracted by the way that she smiled.  It was the first time that the smile was directed to him and not to something else.  "You know that you're really pretty?" he suddenly blurted out which caused Lami to be surprised.  Then, she blushed and looked down. "You're just saying that," Lami said.  Dong Wan shook his head. "I mean it," Dong Wan said.  Lami then looked straight ahead of her and rested her head on her hands when… He kissed her….He kissed her on her lips!  Lami was caught by surprise and she just sat there and let him kissed her…Weirdly enough, she didn't feel the anger that she felt when he held her body on the street… *********************************************** "Hello?" Andy called Gina again.  Eric decided to let Andy call Gina because he knew that Andy had feelings for Gina. "Hello?" It was Poyan who picked up the phone. "Hello, is Gina there?" Andy asked. "Gina?  Oh!  You're Andy right?" Poyan questioned.  "Remember me?  I'm Poyan!" "Yeah…" "It's Andy again?" Andy heard from the back. "Yeah, Sung Mi," Poyan answered.  She then turned her attention back to Andy on the phone, "Why are you calling Gina?" "I'm…I'm…calling…" Andy was saying.  Suddenly, from the other side of the phone, Gina's voice was heard. "Hello?" Gina answered the phone. "Hello, Gina?" Andy asked. "Speaking." "I just want to ask about that girl and about the Messengers of Death again," Andy answered.  "At least not just me but the rest of us also." "I got new information.  I can't fax it over to you now but - " Suddenly from the other side of the phone, there could be sound of gunshots being heard. "Hello!?" Andy yelled into the phone.  The only things that he heard were gunshots.  His heart was pounding really hard now.  "Gina!  What happened!?  Are you okay!?"  Then, the phone line went dead.  Andy immediately hung up the phone and raced out to his car.  On his car, he pulled out his cell phone and dialed a number.  "Eric hyung!?  I think something happened to Gina!  I think that you better go over to the hotel…I'm afraid hyung…what happened to her?  What happened there?…I'm not worrying for no reason!  There were gunshots!"  For the first time, Andy was getting really hyper.  He turned off his cell phone and stepped harder on the accelerator. Don't let anything happen to her…Don't let anything happen to Gina…Please…Don't… *********************************************** "Gina!" Andy called out as he stormed into the room that Gina was staying in.  The room had become practically a beehive.  There were signs of gunshots everywhere but there were no signs of the two girls who originally stayed in the room.  He immediately ran into the room that was next door.  He kept knocking on the door and calling Kim and Tiffany's name but no one answered.  He tried to open the door and he found out that the doorknob was loose.  With his heart beating fast, he opened the door slowly.  In the room, there were no signs of Kim and Tiffany but there was holes left by gunshots and trails of blood… *********************************************** After two days, Kang Ta finally came out again.  The other members of H.O.T were happy to see him but they noticed that he had became a lot skinnier (Obviously…) and the glow that was on his face was gone now. "Kang Ta…" Hee Jun gently called out. "Kang Ta oppa?" Celeste called out.  Kang Ta looked at her painfully.  Sharon…How much he wanted to go and look for her…even if it meant death… "Kang Ta," the rest of the people called him but he didn't respond.  He kept on looking at Celeste. He felt his heart breaking again.  He closed his eyes and then opened them again… "Are…are you ok?" Hye Sung asked.  Kang Ta was scaring all of them.  He was never like this. "I want to go see her," Kang Ta said hoarsely.  The people looked at him, a little confused about what he had just said.  "I want to go see her body…At least let me see her one more time…" *********************************************** "She is proven dead by the time that we found her.  There were no chances of getting her alive again.  Besides, how many girls would want to live when their face is totally ruined," the doctor was saying.  However, all of this was not entering Kang Ta's mind.  He looked at the body with a weird look… "Kang Ta?" Hee Jun asked.  Kang Ta looked at him.  He, for the first time for a long time, smiled. "Hee Jun hyung…It's ok…Everything is ok now…" ***********************************************
