** ~Chapter 7~ ~So many times I thought I held it in my hands, But just like grains of sand, Love slipped through my fingers… And so many nights, I asked the Lord above… Please make me lucky enough, To find a love that lingers… Something keeps telling me, That you could be my answered prayer, You must be heaven sent I swear… Cause something happens when you look at me I forget to speak…. Something happens when you kiss my mouth my knees get so weak…. Could it be true this is what God has meant for me cause baby, I can't believe that something like you could happen to me…~ ~Nsync~ ‘Something like you’ -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- “Wow, it’s beautiful.” Ally said as she stared at the nature around her. “I come here a lot when I need time to think or just to be alone.” Minwoo says to her as they sit and eat their sandwiches. “It’s so peaceful up here. I wish I could stay here forever. The city looks so busy from up here.” Ally says to Minwoo who’s staring at the landscape. “Cecile told me that she booked you on a flight home. You’re leaving tomorrow.” “I know, I called her yesterday after I cooled down.” “Are you coming back? God what am I saying. So selfish of me. Just forget I asked.” Minwoo said to her while trying to avoid eye contact. “No, don’t say that. The truth is I don’t know if I’m gonna come back. I’m so confused right now I don’t know what I wanna do anymore. Look, let’s not talk about it anymore. Today’s my last day here and I just wanna spend it in silence.” “Alright then. Whatever you want.” Minwoo says to her. They finish their food in silence as they enjoy the scenery. ‘She’s leaving tomorrow and I might never see her again. Ally, how I wish this moment could last forever. Is it selfish of me to wanna keep you close by my side and never let you go?’ Minwoo thought to himself just then Ally leans her head on his shoulder. Shocked Minwoo just sits there with no movement afraid that if he said anything would ruin the mood. After a couple minutes of silent Minwoo decided to break the silent. “Ally?” There was no answer. Minwoo looked down at Ally to find her with tears streaming down her face. “Ally, why are you crying?” He asked not knowing what to do. “Could you please just hold me?” She said to him in a weak voice. Minwoo pulled Ally close to him and held her in his arms as she cried away her sorrow. (The Next Day.) “I’m really gonna miss you Ally. You just got here and already you have to go.” “Amy, you know I have to go. Don’t worry, I’ll call you when I get there.” Ally said to her as she hugged her. “I’m really gonna miss you too Ally.” Dongwan said as he hugged her. “I know you will. I’m really gonna miss your bright smile.” She said to him. “What about us?” Eric asked with a puppy face. “You know I’m gonna miss you guys too. Come here.” Ally said to the rest of the guys as she hugged each and every one of them. “Umm… Hyesung, where’s Minwoo?” Ally asked. “He said he’s be a little late. He should have been here by now. It’s just like him to be late.” Hyesung replied. *ATTENTION… Now boarding flight 301-A to Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport.* “Well I guess that’s you Ally.” Jin said as he hugged Ally once more. “I guess I better be off.” Ally said to them with a disappointed look on her face. “I know you wanted to say good bye to Minwoo. It’s just like him to be late. Always at other’s expense.” Eric said angrily. “Please don’t say that. What he had to do was probably important. Could you just tell him thanks for everything he’s done? And that I’ll be alright.” “Why don’t you tell him yourself?” A voice from being said. Ally turned around to find Minwoo standing there with a medium size teddy bear holding a white rose. “Did you really think I’d let you leave without saying good bye?” Minwoo said to her while hugging her. “I know you’d come.” She whispered in his ear. “Here, it’s not much but I managed to grab this for you.” “Oh, how cute. Minwoo, you’re so romantic.” Jin said jokingly while the others laughed. “Ha, ha. Very funny Jin.” Minwoo replied sarcastically. “Oh now come on guys, I don’t wanna leave with you guys fighting. Thanks Minwoo, It was very thoughtful of you.” Ally said to him as she hugged him again. *ATTENTION last call for flight 301-A* “Well, I better be leaving. I’m really gonna miss you all.” Ally said to the gang as tears ran down her face. “Call me as soon as you get there okay!” Amy said with tears streaming down her face. Ally turned around and walked towards the plane. Just as she was about to enter the doors she heard someone call her name. Ally turned around to see who it was. “Don’t be a stranger! If you need anything or just need to talk call me!” Minwoo yelled to her. “I will!” she responded and vanished into the plane. Ally found her seat and sat down. As the plane took off she looked outside the window thinking to herself. ‘Is this good bye? What am I gonna do now? Will I ever see them again?’ She closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~Chapter 8~ ~When clouds above you start to pour, And all of your doubts, Rain like a storm… And you don't know who you are anymore, Let me help you find what you've been searching for… Girl, I know you, think no one sees, The weight on your shoulders, But you can't fool me… And aren't you tired of standing so tall, Let me be the one to catch you when you fall… Somewhere... Someday it'll be for the better, Let this bring you peace… ~Nsync~ ‘Somewhere Someday’ --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (One month later…) Knock… knock… knock… “Coming!” Amy called as she walked to open the door. “Oh, Minwoo. Hey come in.” “Hey Amy. So what are you doing right now?” “I’m getting ready for work like I’ve been doing every morning. You ought to know by now I mean you come here almost everyday.” “I do not. Besides you’re my friend I just came to spend so quality time with you.” “Liar. Look Minwoo, I like you and all but I’m gonna have to end this friendship if you keep coming here everyday like this. Now come on, wipe that gloomy look on your face. I so sick and tired of see that look. You’ve been like that ever since Ally left. It’s not doing any of us any good so quit it.” “Look, what gloomy look?” Minwoo said as he tried to wipe that gloomy look from his face only to find out that he couldn’t. “Look Minwoo, I know how much you miss her. I miss her too but there’s nothing we can do about it. It’s up to Ally whether she wants to come back or not.” “Yeah I know. It’s not only me you know. The guys miss her a lot too.” “I’m sure they do. But at least they don’t show it on their faces.” Amy said while pinching Minwoo’s cheeks. “Alright, alright. I get it. I try and not think about her. By the way did you hear from her recently?” “Actually I did, she called yesterday night.” “Well?” “Well what?” Amy said as if she acted as like she didn’t know what Minwoo meant. “Loon Minwoo, she’s fine. She said that it was hard on her at first but she’s getting better. And then she told me to drop it there so I did. Look, I’m not gonna force her to open up if she doesn’t want to.” “Did she say anything else?” “No, I think that was it besides the fact that she’s doing fine and she doesn’t want us to worry about her.” “Oh.” Minwoo said with a sad look on his face. “God Minwoo, you’re so gullible! I sear you’re lost without her here. Look I’m kidding. She didn’t forget about you. She said she miss you guys very much, especially you. Now does that make you happy?” Amy said to Minwoo who now had a smile on his face. “And I always thought you were the strong one of the group. Boy was I wrong.” Amy said as they both walked out the door and went to work. (Cecile’s House.) “Oh, Ally. I didn’t know you were awake. I didn’t see you there.” “Hey Cecile. Getting ready to go to work?” “What do you think?” Cecile responded with a stern look on her face. “Ally?” “Yeah?” “Look we’re really good friends right?” “Off course we are. You can tell me anything.” “Okay. As a friends this is for your own good. GET OFF YOUR FLAT ASS AND GET BACK TO LIFE!” “Whoa! Where did that come from?” Ally asked with a shocked look on her face. “Look, I love you and all but I’m sick and tired of seeing you day in and day out on this couch. You’re beginning to look like my loser brother.” “I’m sorry Cecile. It’s just that I don’t know what to do anymore. I’m so lost right now that I can’t find my way back to life.” “Look I know this is still hard on you but sitting around here mopping isn’t gonna do you any good. Look Ally! You’re free! You’ve got nothing holding you back anymore. You can do what you’ve always wanted to do! Look, what I’m saying is that Mr. Lee called you yesterday while you were out running. He told all bout the singing contract. He went over it with me and I really think you ought to consider it.” “Please don’t bring that up again. I don’t know what to do with this whole situation. I mean what if the people don’t like me? I just thought I’d stay here with you for a while until I got things straight again.” “Ally! That’s what you said last week! Look, I don’t mind having you here. I love having you here but not sitting on that couch 24/7 with the remote in one hand and junk food in the other. Look, Mr. Lee explained that it would take two years to get you ready for the public. That would mean dancing lessons, singing lessons, learning how to read and write Korean and he also said that you could take a couple other courses of your own. It’s all paid for! You’ll be doing something you love and wouldn’t even have to spend a penny on it.” “You really think I can make it out there?” “Girl, I don’t think. I know.” Cecile said as she picked up the phone and handed it to Ally. “Call him.” Ally took the phone and Cecile turned around and went off to work. Ring… ring… ring… ring… “Hello, DO RE MI ENTERTAINEMENT this is Eujin speaking. How may I help you?” “Hello. Could you please transfer me to Mr. Lee’s office.” “Sure, just one moment.” Ring… ring… ring… ring… “Hello, Mr. Lee speaking. Who is this?” “Hello, it’s me Ally.” “Ally! I haven’t heard from you for a long time. I called you yesterday but Cecile told me that you were out running. How have you been?” “I’m fine now. Thank you.” “So what can I help you with?” “Well I called about the singing contract.” “Oh yes, that. Did you decide? Are you gonna do it?” “Well, umm… I’m still not too sure about it but I’m willing to give it a try.” “Great! Just what I wanted to hear. Did Cecile explain the details to you?” “Yeah she did.” “And do you have any questions?” “No, none at the moment.” “Alright then. When are you planning to come in?” “Well, I still have to take care of some business here. So how about two weeks from today. Is that fine with you?” “Sure. Just give me a call when you get here so that I can get everything ready. Look Ally, I know you’re going through some though times right now but I really think you did the right thing. It’s time you move on and think about your future.” “Thanks Mr. Lee.” “Oh, is there anything else you wanna ask?” “Well…” “What is it Ally? Just ask I’m sure it’s not as hard as the decision you’ve just made.” “How is everyone?” “Is that all? Amy’s doing great! At first she wasn’t confident in her dancing but she’s progressed a lot.” “That’s good to hear. And the others?” “Ah yes, the guys are doing great. They really miss you. Especially Minwoo. He hasn’t been the same after you left. I think he likes you.” “I think he just misses me that’s all. Could you tell them I said hi?” “Sure.” “Oh, please don’t tell them about my decision. I don’t want them to know about it yet. I wanna tell them myself but I haven’t figured out how I’m gonna do it.” “Alright. And don’t worry about the guys, especially Minwoo. He’ll be fine. It’s his birthday this weekend, did you know?” “Oh really! Amy never told me.” “I’m sure she didn’t want you to worry about anything else. The guys are planning on throwing him a little surprise party. Just the six of them and Amy. He’ll be back to normal after that. I’m sure of it.” “Well it was nice talking to you. Please tell them that I miss them and please wish Minwoo a Happy Birthday for me.” “I will. I’ll see you in two weeks then. Bye Ally.” Mr. Lee said as he hung up the phone. (Later that night at the Guys’ House.) Ding… dong… “I got it.” Minwoo said as he went to open the door. “Amy? What are you doing here?” He said as he let her in. “Eric had something he wanted to show me. Where are you going all dressed up to kill?” “Ha ha very funny. Jin’s taking me out to the club. He said I’ve been spending too much time sitting in my room just mopping around. I don’t moap.” “Sure you do!” Jin said as he walked down the stairs. “And I’m sick and tired of seeing you like that. Look, I miss Ally too but you got to get on with your life Minwoo.” “Well, have a nice time out. Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do now you hear.” Amy said to them as she closed to door behind them. “Coast is clear?” Eric asked. “Yeah! I can’t believe you finally got him out of the house. I thought you would of never pulled it through.” “That’s Jin’s specialty. It doesn’t matter if you’re glued to the floor he’ll get you out. Okay, on to business. I sent Hyesung and Dongwan out to get the decorations and the munchies.” “Alright. What’s left than?” Amy asked looking at the list. “The cake. That’s where you come in. I ordered it but I won’t be able to pick it up with everything else I’m doing. I just need you to pick it up. Here’s the address and the time it will be ready.” Eric handed Amy a piece of paper with the address and the time the cake was to be picked up on it. “This is gonna be great!” Amy said with a smile. “It’s too bad Ally’s not here to see it.” “Speaking of Ally, how is she?” Eric asked. “She called yesterday. She says she’s fine but I could tell that she’s still recovering.” “Any news on if she’s ever gonna come back?” “No, I tried to stay away from the subject. She blames herself for what happened. I told her she was all the way on the other end of the earth but she just won’t listen. That’s Ally. Always putting others before her. She did say hi and that she misses you guys.” “That’s good to hear. We’ll we’re done here. The big events in two days. Let’s just hope after this Minwoo goes back to his old self again. It’s beginning to annoy me seeing him mopping around this house like a lost puppy.” “Well, I’ll be leaving than. Se you this weekend.” Amy said as she left to go home. (Cecile’s House.) “Ally! Ally, I’m home.” Cecile walked into the kitchen and set her things down. ‘Where is that girl?’ She thought to herself. Cecile walked into the living room hoping to find Ally sitting there like she left her this morning but to her surprise Ally was nowhere to be found. “Ally! Where are you?” She called walking towards her room. “Oh! Cecile, home already?” Ally said with her head peeping out of her room. “What do you mean home already? It’s 8:00 in the evening. This is the time I usually get home. What could you have possibly been doing that you don’t know what time it is?” “Sorry, I’ve been busy.” “Busy with what?” Cecile asked as she walked into Ally’s room. “What’s this? What are you doing?” “I’m leaving tomorrow morning.” Ally responded while packing her clothes away. “Where to? Was it because of what I said this morning? Look, Ally. I didn’t mean that you had to leave. I just wanted you to get off your butt and get a job or go back to school.” “Cecile, calm down. I’m not leaving because of that. I’m going back to Korea. I’ve decided to take the deal.” “Thank god. But why are you leaving so soon? Are they that eager to have you there?” “It was my decision. Besides, they’re not expecting me for another two weeks.” “Than why are you leaving tomorrow?” “I have my reasons.” Ally replied while putting her things away. Cecile looked around and spotted a picture she had never seen. “Who are these people in this picture with you and Amy?” She asked Ally. “Huh… what?” Ally asked. “He’s really cute.” Cecile said pointing to Hyesung. “Oh that. Those the guys I told you about that I met in Korea. That’s Hyesung you’re pointing at.” Ally said. “I forgot I even had this picture. We took it before I left to remind me of them.” “So who’s that guy standing next to you?” Cecile asked pointing to Minwoo. “He seems to be looking at you instead of the camera.” “That’s Minwoo. He’s the one who gave me teddy over there.” “Ah, so he’s the one you have that thing for.” Cecile said with a wicked smile on her face. “Thing. I don’t have a thing for him. How are you gonna say from looking at a picture that I have a thing for him.” Ally replied in an offensive tone. “Aww, now come on Ally. I see you hugging that bear every night when you sleep. And I know how much you hate having stuff animals next to you when you’re sleeping. You told me they took too much space.” “I did not.” Ally said while trying to change the subject. “Now don’t lie to me. Okay, so you say you don’t have a thing for Minwoo but I know there’s gotta be something for you to hug his teddy bear every night.” “Look, it was just a bear. Drop it alright. Look, seeing you have so much energy, why don’t you help me pack up.” The girls finished packing Ally’s things. Into the night while giggling and laughing about the memories they had shared in this house. (The Next Day.) “I’m sorry I can’t see you off at the airport. The boss won’t let me take the morning off. Such a bastard.” “It’s okay Cecile. It makes it easier for me to say good bye anyways. Oh, before I forget. If Amy or anyone calls don’t tell them anything. Just tell them that I went out and that you don’t know when I’ll be back. I don’t want them to know that I’m coming back.” “Why so secretive?” Cecile asked with a serious look on her face. “I just wanna surprise them that’s all. Well I guess this is good bye then.” Ally said to Cecile while hugging her. “I’m really gonna miss having you yell at me. Thank you for all you’ve done. I know how much of a burden I’ve been on you.” “Nonsense girl, I love having you here. Call me when you get to Korea. And don’t forget, my door is always open if that whole singing thing doesn’t work out. I’m really gonna miss you.” HONK! HONK! “All right she’s coming!” Cecile yelled. Ally grabbed her bags and walked out to the cab. Off it went never to be seen again. Ring… ring… ring… ring… “Coming!” Cecile yelled as she ran back into the house. “Hello?” “Hi, umm… Cecile?” “Yes, who’s this?” “Oh, sorry. It’s me Minwoo.” “Oh right, Minwoo. I remember you. So what can I help you with?” “Is Ally there?” “Huh, Ally. Oh, umm… you just missed her.” “Oh… Well do you know when she’ll be back?” “She went out running. She usually comes back whenever she thinks she ran enough. Why? Did you have something important to tell her?” “Oh, no. I just wanted to ask her how she was doing, that’s all. When she comes back could you tell her that I said thanks?” “Sure, but thanks for what?” “Oh right. It’s my birthday this tomorrow. She called earlier to wish me a Happy Birthday.” “Ah… so that’s why she…” “Why she what?” “Oh nothing. Look Minwoo I’ll tell her when she gets home.” “Okay than, nice talking to you again. Bye.” Minwoo said as she hung up the phone in confusion. ‘And she tells me she doesn’t have a thing for him.’ Cecile thought to herself. “Ally you mischievous little girl, what are you up to now.” She said as she got ready to go to work with a smile on her face. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~Chapter 9~ ~I love to hear you say that you love me, With words so sweet… And I love the way with just one whisper, You tell me everything… And when you say those words, It's the sweetest thing I've ever heard… I love all the ways that you show me, You'll never leave… And the way your kisses, they always convince me, Your feelings run so deep… I love the things you say, And I love the love your touch conveys… But when your eyes say it, That's when I know that it's true, I feel it… I feel the love coming through, I know it… I know that you truly care for me, 'Cause it's there to see… When your eyes say it…~ ~Britney Spears~ ‘When Your Eyes Say It’ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ (Saturday Morning at the Guys’ House.) “Hurry up Minwoo! We don’t wanna be late!” Jin called out to Minwoo. “Look Jin! I told you I just wanted to stay here on my birthday. I don’t wanna celebrate it this year.” “Nonsense. Besides, I’m keeping my promise. We’re not celebrating your birth today. We’re celebrating me. We ought to make today the official Junjin Holiday.” “That sounds just blaaa….” Minwoo said. “Ha, ha. Very funny Minwoo. But that’s not getting you out of this. Now come on, we’ve got a whole day ahead of us.” Jin says while putting his shoes on. “Alright, alright. But where are the other guys? Aren’t they gonna join us?” “Well you told them straight out yesterday that you didn’t wanna celebrate your birthday so I told them to do whatever they wanted today. Eric had some things he had to take care of so he left early this morning. And Hyesung and Dongwan went to the beach. So that leaves me with you to do as I please. Now come on.” Jin said as the guys stepped out to the car. As Jin and Minwoo we’re getting into the car Minwoo saw Amy drive up. “Hey isn’t that Amy? I wonder what she’s doing here?” ‘Damn Amy you’re early.’ Jin thought to himself. “Hey guys!” Amy said while stepping out of the car. “What are you doing here Amy?” Minwoo asked. “Oh, umm… I’m here to see Eric. He said he had something to show me.” “You two have been seeing a lot of each other lately. Is there something you wanna tell us?” Minwoo asked Amy whose face was now breaking a sweat. “What! I don’t believe it Minwoo. Are you trying to say that Eric and I are fooling around?” “Hey I didn’t say that, it’s just that you’ve been here an awful lot these past days to see Eric.” “I’m ashamed of you Minwoo. I didn’t mind when you came to my house every morning. Besides nothing’s going on with Eric and me. I have a man already thank you.” “Alright, whatever you say Amy.” “So where are you guys going?” Amy asked as if she already didn’t know. “Jin’s taking me out again. I think he really needs to get a girl.” “Whatever Minwoo. Look Amy, we’d love to stay and chat but duty calls. Come on Minwoo we’re gonna be late.” The guys got into the car and drove off. “Phewww…” Amy said. “I almost blew it.” She said to herself as she walked up to the house. Amy opened the door and entered. “Hello? The coast is clear, you can come out now!” Amy yelled as Hyesung and Dongwan came in from the back porch. “God, I thought they’d never leave.” Hyesung said. “Where’s Eric?” Amy asked. “He went out to get some more stuff. He said he’ll be back in an hour.” Dongwan replied. “Well we might as well start decorating than.” Amy said to the guys as they started decorating the house. (Later on that evening.) “Hurry up you guys, Jin and Minwoo will be here any minute.” Amy said to Hyesung and Dongwan who were hanging the last of the decorations. “Done!” Hyesung yelled. “It’s about time. You guys took the whole day to decorate and it looks worst than it did before you started.” Eric said while Amy was laughing. “And what did you do Mr. Mum?” Dongwan replied back. “What did I do? Look at all this good food. And you ask what did I do.” “All you did was heat it up! You didn’t even cook that stuff. It was all ordered!” Hyesung yelled. “Alright now girls. Let’s not start this again. Jin and Minwoo are gonna be here soon.” Amy replied with a smile on her face. “Everyone take your positions.” They turned off the lights and waited for Jin to drag Minwoo in from his long exhausting day. “God Jin, I swear this is the last time I’m hanging out with you. I’m so exhausted. Where in the world did you get all the energy to do this and still be bouncing right now?” “Aww, Minwoo. I thought you’d be happy that we didn’t celebrate your birthday. I was just trying to get your mind off it that’s all.” “Well I’d have to say it worked. I’m surprised we didn’t receive any calls from Eric and the guys today. Oh well, I’m tired from all this running around. I’m gonna go straight to bed and sleep until Monday comes.” “But Minwoo, it’s only 7:00. We haven’t even eaten dinner yet.” Minwoo grabbed his keys and opened the door. The door swung open as he was about to hit the switch for the light he turned to Jin and said, “Loon, Jin. You’re on your own. I’m gonna go to bed.” He turned on the lights and to his surprise… “SURPRISE!” Amy and the guys yelled as he walked into the house. Minwoo looked around and saw that the room was decorated and there was a banner that read ‘HAPPY BIRTHDAY MINWOO!’ “You didn’t think we’d let you get away without celebrating did you?” Hyesung said to Minwoo whose mouth was still hanging open from the shock. “Now come on the food’s getting cold.” Eric said as they went and sat at the table to eat. “I thought I told you guys that I didn’t want anything this year.” “Minwoo, you say one thing but we know you mean the other.” Dongwan replied while passing the food around. “So that’s why Jin has been spending so much time with me lately. And I thought you liked me Jin.” Minwoo said sarcastically. “I love you man, or else I wouldn’t have agreed to be your chaperon.” Jin replied while trying to kiss Minwoo on the cheek. “And that’s why I’ve been here so much. Not because of Eric but for you. So don’t get any more crazy ideas you hear.” Amy said to Minwoo with a look that would chill you to the bone if you didn’t know she was kidding. “What’s this about you and me?” Eric asked. “Minwoo here thought you and I were getting it on.” “Ha, ha! Yeah right, never in a million years,” Eric said. “And what’s that suppose to mean?” Amy said with an angry look on her face. “No offence Amy. I like you as a friend and all but you’re just too much of a women for me. You know what I mean.” “Yeah good cover up Eric.” Hyesung said while the others laughed. “Come on you guys, let’s eat! I’m starving.” Dongwan said and they began to eat. (Bears ‘R’ Us) “Hello there, how may I help you?” “Hi, I’m sort of in a hurry.” “Alright, what are you looking for?” “I’m looking for a teddy bear. Not just any bear though. This one has to be big, really big.” “Ah, I’ve got just the thing.” The store employee went to the back. She came back with this huge teddy bear that was half her size. “How’s this one?” “It’s perfect! Just what I was looking for. I’ll take it.” Ally said. She paid for the bear and ran out the door to the nearest flower shop. “Well hello there miss. How may I help you?” The florist asked Ally who was struggling with the bear. “Umm… I need a dozen of you’re best white roses.” “Alright, here you are.” The man said to Ally as he handed her the roses. “Who’s the special guy?” He asked her as she paid for the roses. “How do you know it’s for a guy?” Ally asked. “Well first of all the bear could be for a kid but then why would you get roses to go with it?” The florist replied. “It’s a birthday gift. You see he doesn’t know that I’m coming so I wanna surprise him.” “He’s a very lucky guy to have such a sweet girl like you for his girlfriend.” “Oh, no. You have it all wrong. He’s just a friend I haven’t seen for a long time.” “Whatever you say miss, whatever you say.” Ally paid the man and dashed out of the door with the roses and the bear and into a cab. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~Chapter 10~ ~Can you see it? It's still young… and a bit awkward, but can you feel my love? Can you hear it too? It's slightly inept, but my little prayer that carries my mind, can you hear it? With my fingertips, from the edge of my eyes, I always feel you… What word can possibly describe this feeling? My smiling continuously must look strange, You will smile too when you see me… Fool…~ ~Shinhwa~ ‘First Love’ ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (At the Guys’ House.) “Thanks you guys, I had a great time.” Amy said as she got up to leave. “Aww leaving already?” Minwoo asked. “As much as I’d love to stay and chat with you guys, I’m tired out from all of this running around.” “She’s right. I think it’s time we turn in ourselves. Planning a party is not piece of cake.” Eric said while stretching his arms in the air. “Look, just leave everything as it is. We’ll clean it up tomorrow.” Hyesung said as he got up too. Ding… dong… “Who could that be?” Amy asked as she looked at Eric. “Don’t look at me, all the surprises were already revealed.” Eric said as he looked at Hyesung and Dongwan who also had no idea who it could be. “I’ll get it, you guys worked hard enough today anyways.” Minwoo said as he got up to open the door. Minwoo opened the door to find a huge bear with white roses standing in front of him. “Happy Birthday Mr. Lee!” He heard someone say with a childish voice. “Huh?” He said out loud. Right then Ally put the bear down and revealed herself. Shocked all Minwoo could do was stand there. “Hello? Earth to Minwoo, are you there?” Ally said as she waved her hand in front of his eyes. “What no hug? No come in?” She said to him. “Is it you? Is it really you? Tell me I’m not dreaming.” Minwoo said in a soft voice. “Of course it’s me! In the flesh!” Ally said as she hugged him. “Hey Minwoo! Who is it?” Jin yelled from the living room. Just then Ally and Minwoo walked to the living room to greet the others. “Oh my god! Ally!” Amy cried as she ran to hug her. “Hi Ally!” The guys said to her. “Hey guys, I hope you’ve been behaving.” She responded back. “Perfect angels as always.” Hyesung replied. “Yeah right, not in a million years.” Minwoo said from behind. “So when did you get in? How come you didn’t call me, I would have come to pick you up.” Amy asked as they sat down. “I just got here an hour ago. Besides I didn’t call because I didn’t wanna take all the attention away from Minwoo. Happy birthday Minwoo. I know it isn’t much but I hope you like it.” Ally said to him as she handed him the bear and the roses. “Aww…” Dongwan sighed. “Look! He’s turning red!” Jin yelled as the others turned to Minwoo. “Shut up! Thanks Ally, but you didn’t have to.” Minwoo said to Ally with a huge smile on his face. “Oh now you know I did. Besides I couldn’t come here empty handed.” She replied. “Well I better be leaving.” Amy said as she got up to leave. “Ally you coming?” “She just got here.” Jin replied. “You go ahead Amy, I’m gonna stay here a while and talk with the guys. I’ll be home later. Besides I’m pretty sure you’re tired from all this. I’ll talk to you when I get home.” Ally replied. “Alright, but don’t stay out too long. Bye guys.” Amy said as she left. “Well we better turn in also.” Eric said as he eyed the guys to agree. “Yeah, we’re all tired out from this day.” Hyesung said as they began to go up the stairs to their rooms. “Welcome back Ally.” Dongwan said as he walked up the stairs. “Good night guys! I’ll see you tomorrow.” She replied and waved to them. “Now kids, don’t stay up so late.” Jin said as he walked to his room. “Good night Jin.” Minwoo replied. The guys went to their rooms and silent feel upon them. “I can’t believe you’re actually here.” Minwoo said to Ally. “You know I wouldn’t miss your birthday.” She replied with a smile. “Is that the only reason you’re here?” He asked her. “Are you here to stay?” “Yeah. She replied. “I’m here to stay.” Just as he heard those words form her mouth a smile formed on his face. “I decided to sign the contract. I wasn’t even gonna come for two weeks but then Mr. Lee told me that today was your birthday. So I got on a plane and here I am.” “I’m glad you’re here. I really missed you.” Minwoo said with a soft voice. “I missed you too.” Ally replied. Into the night the two talked not paying attention to the time. “What time is it?” Ally asked Minwoo. Minwoo looked at his watch. “Wow, it’s 6:00 in the morning.” He replied. “Oh my gosh, did we actually talk the whole night?” Ally asked. “You must be tired from your trip. And here I’ve kept you up the whole night.” “Now don’t say that. Besides I slept in the plane. You’re the one who looks tired out. What did Jin do to you?” Ally asked with a wicked smile on her face. “You don’t wanna know. It’s too painful to recall.” Minwoo replied. “Well since it’s morning, how about some breakfast?” Minwoo asked. “Sure, why not. Let’s go.” Ally got up and they walked out the door to Minwoo’s car. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~Chapter 11~ ~It's the way she fills my senses, It's the perfume that she wears… I feel I'm losing my defences, To the colour of her hair… And every little piece of her is right, Just thinking about her, Takes me through the night… Every time we meet, The picture is complete… Every time we touch, The feeling is too much… She's all i ever need, To fall in love again… I knew it from the very start', oh... She's the puzzle of my heart…~ ~Westlife~ ‘Puzzle of my Heart’ ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (The Next Day.) “Ready to go Ally?” Amy asked as she grabbed her bag and waited by the door for Ally. “Yeah. Just gotta grab a change of clothes. You go ahead, I’ll be right down.” Ally said to Amy as she went to her closet to grab her favorite outfit. “Ah, here it is. Just the right look for my first day.” She said as she put it in her bag and ran out the door to meet Amy. (In Amy’s Car.) “So, are you nervous?” Amy asked Ally who was staring out the window. “What do you think? We’ll I’ll just punch it out of me.” She replied. “That’s right, the gym. You’ll love it, it’s got everything you could dream of. Not that I know how to use any of it.” Amy said. “All I need is one good hour and I’ll be good to face the day.” “What you gotta do today?” Amy asked. “Well Mr. Lee wants to start out slow you know with the accident and all. He doesn’t wanna push me. Which is cool with me. It’ll keep my mind off things. Get back to living instead of mopping.” Ally said with a sad look on her face. “Basically all I’m gonna do today is meet the people who are gonna teach me how to dance, sing, read, write, and speak Korean. Then I’m off to lunch. After lunch he has some more forms he wants me to go through, you know the fine print of the industry. After that I’m free to roam around and explore.” “That’s what he calls starting slow?” Amy said with a sarcastic look on her face. “Okay, whatever you say Mr. Lee.” Amy parked the car in front of the gym. “You’ll love it here. DO RE MI’s got a private gym for all the dancers and performers. You know security reasons. The building’s connected to the main building so we’re done we can just cut through there.” Amy said to Ally as they got out of the car and walked into the gym. “Well that was a good warm up. Time for some punching.” Ally said after half an hour of warming up and using the exercise machines. “Oh, Ally. Before you start punching your stress away there’s someone I want you to meet.” Amy said to her as they walked to the office. “Hey Amy, you’re here early. What can I do for you today?” The guy in the office asked. “Lao, this is Ally, the girl I was telling you about. Today’s her first day.” “Right, it is isn’t it? Mr. Lee told me you might be in today. So how do you like it here so far?” Lao asked Ally. “Pretty nice gym you got here. It’s giving me a pretty good workout so far.” “So what can I do for you girls today?” “Well nothing for me but Ally could use someone to hold the punching bag while she punches her stress away.” Amy said while pointing to the punching bag. “No problem, we can get to know each other while you’re punching.” Lao said to the girls as they walked to the punching bag. “Ready when you are Ally.” Lao said holding the bag. Ally began punching the bag and then followed with a kick that caused Lao to lose his balance and fall to the ground. “Oh my god! Are you okay Lao?” She asked as she helped him off the floor. “Whoa, where did that come from?” He said to her. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to kick you down. I didn’t even kick you that hard.” She said to him. “It’s alright. I wasn’t ready for that much energy. I didn’t think you were that strong. Let’s get back to it.” He said to her as they began again. “So how do you know Amy?” Ally asked while punching her stress away into the bag. “Amy and I met two years ago when she moved here for the U.S. We went to the same neighborhood gym and we met there. Ever since that we’ve been really good friends. She introduced me to my girl.” He replied. “What about you?” “Oh I’ve known Amy forever. She’s been through thick and thin with me. I’ve worried more about her than anyone else I’ve known.” (20 Minutes later.) “Hey Lao, quit flirting with the ladies in here. Don’t you have a girl already?” Minwoo said as he walked towards them. “Hey Minwoo.” Ally said. “Oh Ally. I didn’t know it was you. I didn’t recognize you.” He said to her with a smile on his face. “That’s because I look like hell right now. So is this the time you usually come here?” She asked. “Actually I got here earlier. I just came in to see how Lao was doing.” Minwoo replied. “So what are you two doing?” “Actually I was just about to leave. I gotta get ready to meet Mr. Lee and I can’t meet him like this.” She said to Minwoo. “Thanks Lao, you’ve been a great help. Sorry about knocking you down.” Ally said as she turned around and left with Amy. “Knocking you down?” Minwoo said with a smile on his face. “Shut up. I wasn’t ready.” Lao replied. “Look at you, all sweaty and all you did was hold the punching bag for her.” Minwoo said laughing. “Hey, she may be a sweet and nice girl but she’s got a lot of anger inside. That girl can take you out anytime.” Lao replied. “So what did you want?” “Huh, oh yeah. Just forget about it. It wasn’t all important anyways. Look I gotta go, I see you later.” Minwoo said to Lao as he ran out the gym. “Hurry up Amy, I can’t be late for my first day.” Ally said to Amy who was still fixing her hair. “Coming, coming.” Amy replied as she grabbed her bag and walked towards Ally. “Say Ally…” “Yeah?” “Are you okay?” “What’s that all about Amy?” “Well it’s just that I was watching you earlier and you really beat the life out of that punching bag. I mean don’t get me wrong, I’ve see you in action before but you just seemed really bothered by something.” “Look Amy, I’m fine now. I was just nervous but now I’m all good. Now come on let’s go.” Ally said to Amy as they left to meet Mr. Lee. “Well here’s my stop.” Amy said to Ally. “I’ll call you at lunch time just to check on how things are going. Maybe we can meet after work.” “Alright. Bye.” Ally said to her as she walked to Mr. Lee’s office. Knock… knock… knock… “Come in.” Mr. Lee said. “Hey Mr. Lee.” “Ally! So are you ready?” He asked her. “Ready as I’ll ever be.” “Just what I want to hear from you. We’ll let’s go then. We’ll be done by 4:00 so after that you’re free to stick around or do whatever you want. Shall we.” He said to her as they stepped out of his office to meet Ally’s teachers. (Lunch time.) Ring… ring… “Hello?” “Hey Ally, it’s me Amy. So what you doing right now?” “Hey Amy. Having lunch with Mr. Lee and some other important people.” “So when are you gonna be done?” “Well after this were gonna go over some papers. Mr. Lee said I should be done by 3:00 probably sooner.” “Great! I’m done by 2:00. Why don’t you meet me at the Lily Café at 3:30 so you can tell me where you and Minwoo were doing that night you didn’t come home.” “Alright, 3:30. I’ll see you then.” “Alright, gotta go, break’s done. Bye!” Amy said and hung up the phone. (10 minutes to three.) “Well, we’re all done here. If I have anything else I’ll call you.” “Thanks Mr. Lee.” “So are you gonna stick around or do you have plans?” “Amy asked me to meet her at this café. I better be leaving, she gets really mad when I don’t show up on time.” “Alright, I’ll see you tomorrow then. Have fun.” “Bye.” Ally said as she walked towards the door. “Hey Ally wait!” A voice from behind called. Ally turned around to see whom it was. “Hey guys. What’s up?” “We just finished up.” Eric answered. “Where you going?” Jin asked. “I gotta meet Amy at the Lily Café.” Ally replied. “Well, we’ve got nothing else to do. Let’s go.” Dongwan said. “You don’t mind if we join you do you?” Hyesung asked. “Sure, why not. I’m pretty sure Amy won’t mind. I can use you guys as an excuse for being a little late.” Ally replied. “Ready to go then?” “Just waiting for Minwoo.” Eric answered. “Here he comes.” Jin said. “Hurry up Minwoo. Ally’s gonna be late.” “Sorry, just needed to wrap up a few things. So where to?” Minwoo asked while catching his breath. “Ally here has invited us to join her and Amy at the Lily Café. Unless you’ve got other plans, I’m sure we won’t miss you.” Eric said joking. “Ha, ha. Sure, let’s go.” Minwoo replied as they walked to their cars. “Ally you can ride with me and Minwoo.” Jin said. “Hyesung, Dongwan, and Eric are gonna ride together.” They got into their cars and drove off to the café. (Lily Café.) “So where is she?” Hyesung asked. “There she is.” Dongwan said as he pointed to Amy. “Hey, who is she talking to? She looks cute.” Jin said. “Do you know who she’s talking to Ally?” “No. I’ve never met that girl.” Ally replied. As they walked closer to them they could hear the girl arguing with Amy. “Look, I don’t care what he says. You’re just a toy to him. He doesn’t care about you.” “Look, Minyoung. Back off. Say whatever you want but he’s with me not you.” Amy replied. “Hey Amy!” Ally said as she walked to the girls. “What’s going on here?” “Don’t you see we’re talking here? You don’t just come in and bud into our business.” Minyoung said to Ally with an angry look on her face. “Who died and made you queen.” Ally responded as the others laughed. “Excuse me? What did you say?” “You’re excused. And you heard what I said. No need repeating.” Ally replied. “Look, I don’t need this. My business ain’t with you. Amy, you better watch it.” Minyoung said as she turned around and left pushing Ally to the side. “Watch it!” Ally said to her. “Ally, just drop it.” Amy said to her as she sat down. “Amy, she was being a bitch.” “Ally! I said drop it.” “Alright, alright.” Ally said as she and the guys sat down. “So what was that all about?” Eric asked. “None of your business.” Amy replied with a sad look on her face. “Amy what’s wrong. And what was that all about?” Hyesung asked. “Look it was nothing. Besides it was my fault.” Amy replied. “Look, Amy. You don’t have to lie to me. I know you. You don’t go looking for trouble. And what’s with the attitude. You never let anyone threaten you.” Ally said. “Ally, I said just drop it.” Amy said. “So how was your day?” “It was fine. I met everyone, talked to everyone, and signed my name here and there. You know the usual.” Ally replied sarcastically. They sat there talking and joking around for a couple hours. “Well, it’s getting late. Besides I promised Huang I’d call him.” “That’s right. Your boyfriend Huang. You gotta tell me how you two met.” Ally said. “I’ll tell you at home. Bye guys.” Amy said as they got up and left. (Amy’s House.) “Ah, home sweet home. Look, I’m gonna go and take a shower. That’ll give you some privacy with Huang. But I want you to tell me about him when I’m done.” Ally said as she went to her room to take a shower. ‘Who was that girl? And why was she arguing with Amy?’ Ally thought to herself as she got out of the shower and got dressed. ‘Forget about it Ally, it probably was nothing like Amy said.’ She thought again as she got dressed and headed for Amy’s room. The door was slightly open and Ally could hear Amy who was still talking to her boyfriend. “Look Huang, she got into my face today.” “She did! God I’m gonna kill her. I told her there was nothing between us. I told her you were my girl.” “Look, it’s fine. Except that my roommate and her were this close to get it on.” “That’s right, you’re roommate. You gotta introduce us to each other. Look, don’t worry about Cindy. I’ll take care of it.” “Alright Huang. Good night.” Amy said as she hung up the phone. Amy walked to her door to find Ally behind it listening. “Ally! What are you doing?” She asked. “We’re you eavesdropping? I can’t believe you!” “No, it’s not like that. I was gonna come in but I heard you were still on the phone so I decided to wait. I swear.” “Alright, I believe you. How much did you hear?” Amy asked. “Look Amy, do you have a problem with that girl at the café?” Ally asked. “You can tell me, besides if you don’t I’ll just keep bothering you until I get it out of you.” “She thinks I stole Huang from her.” “Ahh… the ex girlfriend scenario.” “It’s not like that. He doesn’t like her, he never did. She just doesn’t get it that he doesn’t like her. So she’s been giving me attitude. Look, Huang said he’ll take care of it. So just drop it alright?” Amy said to Ally with a smile on her face. ‘Amy, there’s something you’re not telling me. I can see it in your eyes.’ Ally thought to herself as she smiled back to Amy. “Look, I’m tired so why don’t we just get some sleep. Besides you probably have a big day ahead of you.” Amy said. “Right! Are we still on tomorrow?” “Oh, about that. You’re gonna be on your own. I have some things I gotta take care of tomorrow morning. You’re gonna have to go to the gym by yourself. But I’ll meet you at lunch.” “Alright. Good night Amy.” Ally said as they girls walked to their rooms closing the doors behind them. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~Chapter 12~ ~So no one ever told you life was going to be this way? Another day.” “Hey Minwoo.” Lao answered in a concerned tone. “What’s wrong?” Minwoo asked. “Look over there.” Lao said to Minwoo as he pointed to Ally who was punching the punching bag. “Yeah, so what. It’s just Ally.” “She’s been here for two hours now just beating the crap out of it. She’s been going non-stop. That’s what.” Lao replied. “I’m worried. She came in all mad and when I said hi, she didn’t even know I was there.” “Look, I’ll talk to her. I’m pretty sure it’ll be fine.” Minwoo said to Lao as he walked towards Ally’s direction. “Hey Ally.” Minwoo said to her. Ally didn’t seem to notice he was there. She just kept on punching and kicking the bag. “Ally, it’s me Minwoo.” He said again. “Huh, oh hey Minwoo. I didn’t see you there.” She said as she stopped punching to wipe the sweat off her face with a towel. “So what is it?” “Lao over there’s worried about you. So I told him I’d come and see what was wrong.” “Wrong, where does he get the idea that anything is wrong. There’s nothing wrong, I’m just exercising.” Ally replied. “Look Ally, I know there’s something wrong because Amy told me you only use the punching bag when you’ve got something on your mind. So what’s wrong?” “Look, Minwoo. There’s nothing wrong. I’m just having a bad day. I’m not always that bright cheery girl you know. People have their bad days. So if there’s nothing else you want than I’d like to get back to exercising.” Ally said to him as she started punching the bag again. “Look, I was just asking.” Minwoo said with a sad look on his face as he turned around and walked away. “Wait!” Ally called to him. “Look, Minwoo. I’m sorry. As mad as I am right now you didn’t deserve that.” “Look, Ally. I’m a really good listener. If there’s something on your mind you can talk to me. I won’t even ask questions, I’ll just listen.” He said to her. “It’s not me. It’s about Amy.” “Ah, Amy. Did you guys fight?” “No. We’re fine.” “Then what is it?” Minwoo asked. “There’s something she’s not telling me.” “What do you mean?” Minwoo asked. “Yesterday when we got home I overheard her talking to her boyfriend. You remember that girl we had a conflict with yesterday at the Lily Café?” “Yeah.” “Well from what Amy told me she’s got a problem with her. She told me that her boyfriend would take care of it but there’s just something she’s not telling me.” “Look, I’m pretty sure if it was important she’d tell you.” Minwoo replied. “Yeah, you’re probably right. But whatever happens I’m gonna find out what’s wrong whether she wants it or not. I don’t like seeing her being messed with.” Ally said to Minwoo who was listening attentively. “Ally, what you got in mind?” Minwoo asked with a weird look on his face. “I don’t know yet. But I’m meeting her for lunch today. If she doesn’t tell me the truth I’m gonna have to find out the hard way.” Ally replied. “Thanks.” “For what?” Minwoo asked. “For listening. I needed to get it out. The punching and kicking wasn’t helping.” Ally replied. “Aww… it was nothing. Speaking of your anger exercise, where did you learn to beat the crap out of that bag like that?” Minwoo asked. “That’s something you’ll just have to find out. I’m not as sweet and innocent as you think. I’ve got many skills you haven’t seen yet.” Ally said to him as they walked out of the gym. Ally finished getting dressed then grabbed her bag and stepped out of the locker room to find Minwoo standing there. “Hey, you’re still here.” She said to him. “Well I figured since I was gonna talk to Mr. Lee I’d wait for you so we could go together.” “Why didn’t you tell me? You must have been waiting out here for at least 20 minutes.” “Oh, I didn’t mind. Besides I wasn’t alone. I was talking to Lao a little earlier. So you ready to go?” Minwoo asked with a smile on his face. “Yeah, let’s go.” Ally said to him as they walked to Mr. Lee’s office. As they were walking towards Mr. Lee’s office they spotted Mr. Lee running towards their way. “Hey, Mr. Lee. We were just coming to see you. You didn’t have to run all the way here.” Minwoo said to him. “God Ally, thank god you’re here.” He said to her trying to catch his breath. “Of course I’m here, why? What’s wrong?” She asked. “There’s been an accident.” Mr. Lee said to her. “What? Who?” Minwoo asked. “Amy, she’s in the hospital. She was found badly beaten.” Mr. Lee replied. “No. I gotta go to her.” Ally said to Minwoo. “I’ll take you there.” Minwoo said to her as they ran to his car and drove off to the hospital. Minwoo’s car parked in front of the hospital and they rushed to Amy’s room. Inside they found Amy asleep with a nurse standing next to her checking her temperature. “Oh my god Amy.” Ally said with her hands covering her mouth. “What did they do to you?” Minwoo saw the condition Amy was in and was shocked. All he could do is hug Ally and hope for the better. Just then Eric and the others showed up. “Minwoo, we came as soon as we heard.” Eric said as they entered the room to find Amy in the bed sleeping with bruises all over. Ally broke away from Minwoo and walked to the bed where Amy was resting. “Amy?” She called. “Who in their rightful mind would do such a thing to you?” “Don’t worry miss.” The nurse assured her. “She’s in good care. We’ll have her back to her old self in no time.” “Thanks.” Ally said to the nurse. “Who brought her in?” “Oh, a nice young man who claimed to be her boyfriend.” The nurse replied. “I made him go out and grab a cup of coffee while I took her temperature. He should be back soon.” The nurse said and then left the room. “Ally? Is that you?” A voice from behind said. Ally turned to see who it was. “Charlie?” Ally said as she got up. “What are you doing here?” “It’s not Charlie anymore. I go by Huang now.” “Huang, Huang. You mean Amy’s Huang?” Ally asked. “Yeah. Amy’s Huang.” “I understand now. How could I have been so stupid?” Ally said with an angry look on her face. “Ally, what’s wrong? Understand what?” Minwoo asked as he walked to her. “Do you two know each other?” “Yeah, we know each other alright. This is the bastard that did this to Amy.” Ally said pointing to Huang. “I should have known. I knew she wasn’t telling me something but now I see it.” “Look, Ally. I think you’re over reacting.” Huang said to her. “Overreacting huh. I am not overacting! I can’t believe you dragged her into this. How could you do this to her. How could you manipulate her into this life.” Ally said now getting into Huang’s face. “Hey now come on you two, break it up.” Minwoo said as he pulled Ally back and the others held Huang back. “How dare you hang around here after you let them do this to her. Get out! You don’t belong here!” Ally yelled. “Ally…” A weak voice from behind called. “Amy. Yeah, I’m here.” Ally said as she held Amy’s hand. “Are you alright?” “Please Ally, it wasn’t Huang’s fault. He had nothing to do with this.” Amy said while trying to hold back the pain. “Amy, I thought I told you not to go.” Huang said to her while holding her other hand. “Go where?” Ally asked while looking at Amy. “Amy, where did you go? Tell me.” “I can’t. I’m sorry Ally. I don’t want you to get into it. Please forgive me.” Amy said to her as tears started streaming from her face. “Shh… it’s alright Amy. Look, you need to rest.” Ally said as she stroke Amy’s hair. “Ally’s right. We should let her rest.” Jin said as the others left the room. “You, outside now.” Ally said to Huang motioning him to go outside. “We need to talk.” “Minwoo, could you please look after her for a moment while I talk to Huang?” Ally asked Minwoo. “Sure, don’t worry, I look after her.” He replied as Ally and Huang stepped outside to talk. “Minwoo.” Amy said to him while reaching for his hand. “Shh… Amy get some rest. We can talk later.” He said to her holding her hand. “No, please. I need you to do me a favor.” “Alright, only if you promise to rest after.” He replied. “I promise. Look, I knew that Huang knew Ally but I never told her because of their history. I’m scared that she’s gonna go and do something really terrible.” “What are you saying Amy.” “Please look after her. Don’t let her out of your sight for a moment. She’s not thinking straight right now.” “Alright Amy. I won’t let her out of my sight.” Minwoo said to her. “Now get some rest.” ‘What did you mean by them having a history?’ Minwoo thought to himself as he watched Amy fall back to sleep. (Waiting Room.) “Alright Charlie. I know this has to do with that girl. Spill it.” “Ally, this is none of your business. Besides I promised Amy that I wouldn’t let you get involved in this.” Charlie replied. “Charlie, quit playing games here. I’m already involved in this. Did you see what they did to Amy? How could you allow such a thing to happen?” Ally was now yelling at him. “Look Ally, don’t worry about this. I’ve got it under control. Just chill.” “Under control! UNDER CONTROL! Charlie, she almost died! What if you didn’t find her when you did? She wouldn’t be here! Now tell me what this is all about!” “Alright, alright. The girl, her name is Minyoung.” “Minyoung. Alright, now why did Minyoung do this to Amy.” “Look, she’s been attracted to me ever since she met me. I told her from the beginning that they’re could never be anything between us. But she wouldn’t listen. She found out that I was dating Amy and so she’s been harassing her.” He explained. “Yesterday Amy called me and told me that Minyoung asked her to meet her somewhere. I begged Amy not to go but she didn’t listen. As soon as I found out where they were meeting I rushed there to stop her but I was too late. I found her laying in the alley all bruised up.” Charlie was now crying. “Where is she?” Ally asked. “Charlie! Tell me where she is!” “She hangs out at the old abandoned warehouse by the Hang River.” Charlie replied. “The Hang River. Huh. Alright then. That’s where she is, that’s where I’m going.” Ally replied as she stood up. Just then Charlie grabbed a hold of her hand. “Charlie, let go of my hand.” She said in an angry tone. “I can’t. I won’t let you go. You don’t know what or who’s over there. You might get hurt. Besides I promise Amy that I wouldn’t even tell you. I’m not breaking another promise.” “Charlie let go of me now! I’m not playing with you.” Ally said as she punched him in the stomach. Just then Minwoo walked in the room. “Hey! Ally, what did you do that for.” He asked Ally who now had tears streaming down her face. “Look Minwoo, stay out of this. This is between me and Charlie boy here.” She said to him as she turned to Charlie. “Do you love her?” “I… I…” “Answer the question Charlie. Do you love Amy?” “I do.” Charlie replied. “Then you’ll let me do what I have to do.” Ally said to him. “I want you to go back to her room and stay there until I get back. I don’t want you to tell her anything. She’s done enough worrying as it is.” Charlie got up and walked towards the door. “Ally?” “What?” “Another thing. Minyoung, well she’s Johnny’s new girl.” “Johnny?” “Yeah, he’s here also.” “Well then I guess I’ll have to pay good old Johnny a visit also.” Ally replied. “Look Ally, I know no matter what I say, you’re still gonna go. Just don’t do something stupid. Amy needs you right now.” “Don’t worry Charlie. I’m not the same girl anymore. Just take care of Amy for me and I’ll handle this.” Ally said to Charlie as she walked back to Amy’s room. Ally grabbed her purse and walked towards the door. Just as she was about to leave Minwoo grabbed her hand. “Minwoo, what are you doing? Let go of my hand.” Ally said to him. “Not until you tell me where you’re going.” “Look, I told you this has nothing to do with you. I don’t need you to get involved in this mess.” Ally said to him while trying to break away from his grip. “Now let go of me.” “No I won’t. I promised Amy that I wouldn’t let you out of my sight and that’s just what I’m gonna do. So you might as well tell me where you’re going or else we’re just gonna have to spend the rest of the night here.” Minwoo said to her with an angry look on his face. “Alright, fine. But you have to promise me that you won’t question my actions.” “I won’t. Now where are we going?” He asked her as they walked to his car. “Amy’s house.” “Why are we going there?” “Just drive Minwoo.” Minwoo started the car and they drove to Amy’s house. When they got there they got out of the car. “Get in!” Ally said to Minwoo waving for him to get into Amy’s car. “Why are we taking Amy’s car?” Minwoo asked. “We’re taking Amy’s car because where we’re going you’re car won’t make it back in one whole piece.” “Where to?” Minwoo asked Ally. “The abandoned warehouse by the Hang River.” She replied as they drove off. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
