(An hour later.)

“Yo Lao!”  Dongwan called as he and the guys approached him.

“Hey guys!”  Lao replied as they entered the office and sat down.  “What are you guys doing here?”

“What we always do when we come here.”  Jin replied.

“Yeah Lao, why ask such a dumb question.”  Eric said to him.

“It’s just that it’s your day off, I thought you guys would still be in bed.  You never come on your day off.”  Lao replied.

“We needed the workout, besides I need to work on my sick pack.”  Hyesung said as the others laughed.

“Sick pack, what six pack?”  Minwoo replied while the others laughed even more.

“I see you’re back to your old self again.”  Lao said to Minwoo.

“What do you mean?  I’ve always been myself.”  Minwoo replied.

“Oh come on Minwoo, ever since you met Ally you’ve been all gaga over her.” Eric said to him while the others agreed.

“I thought I told you guys that we were just friends.”

“Look, we can see it in your eyes.  I mean every time you see her or someone says her name your eyes start to twinkle.”  Hyesung said to him while showing Minwoo’s expression to the others.

“Just admit it dude, you’re hopelessly in love with her.”  Dongwan said to him while he put his arm on his shoulder.

“Okay so maybe I have developed some feelings for her but that doesn’t mean that I like her.”

“Minwoo, just admit it.  If she told you to go to Antarctica to get her snow, you’d already be on a plane boarding to Antarctica.”

“Alright, alright!  I like her, I like her a lot.  I love the way she can brighten up anyone’s day with just a smile, I like the way her long hair falls right on her and naturally curls at the ends.  And the way she smells, it reminds me of lemon drops.”

“We get the point Minwoo.  So what are you gonna do about it?”  Eric asked.

“I don’t know?  I mean, she’s been through so much I just don’t wanna burden her with my feelings.”  Minwoo replied.

“Dude!  Why would you’re liking her be a burden?  If not she’d be happy.  She needs someone to take care of her for once.  Don’t you guys agree with me?”  Hyesung said as the others nodded their heads in agreement.”

“I don’t know.  Besides she probably just thinks of me as a friend and nothing else.”  Minwoo said with a sad look on her face.

“You’ll never know unless you tell her.”  Dongwan replied.

“Speaking of Ally, she and Amy got here about an hour ago.”  Lao said to the guys.

“Huh, really!”  Minwoo said as his face brightened up.

“Yeah, they’re over there, just look for yourself.”  Lao said to them as he pointed to the girls from the office window.

The guys looked out the window to find Amy running on the treadmill while Ally was hitting the punching bag.

“Wow!  She’s really good.”  Eric said.

“Yeah, she could beat the crap out of you.”  Minwoo replied.

“Whatever Minwoo.  I mean she’s got skills but she can’t take me.”  Eric said with a smirk on his face.

“Don’t believe me just ask Lao.”  Minwoo replied as all eyes turned back on Lao who choked on his water.

“Ha, ha, ha.”  The guys started laughing at Lao who was wiping the water from his mouth.

“You think that’s funny huh.”  Lao said.

“She beat you up.”  Jin said while still laughing.

“She didn’t beat me up.  She just knocked me down really hard.”  Lao replied.  “Besides, I shouldn’t be laughing, Minwoo was right.  She can beat the crap out of any of you.  That right there is nothing, you should see her when she’s really pissed off.”

The guys decided to begin their workout and stepped out oft eh office still laughing.

“Hey Minwoo?”  Lao called.

“Yeah, what is it?”

“Look, she’s been there for an hour now.  I mean once and a while she’ll stop and get a drink of water but then she’ll just get back up and start hitting the bag again.  I asked her if there was anything wrong but she told me that there was nothing wrong.  She just felt like hitting the bag.”

“Well maybe she did feel like hitting the bag, I mean she hasn’t been hitting it for what, two weeks now.”  Minwoo answered.

“I don’t think so.  I could see in her eyes that something was bothering her.”  Lao replied.

“Look, if it makes you feel better, I’ll take to her and see what I can find out.”

“Thanks Minwoo.  And while you’re at it why don’t you tell her how you feel about her.”

“Whatever Lao.”  Minwoo said to him as he walked out of the office towards Ally.

“Ahem…”  Minwoo said to her as he stood behind her.

There was no answer.  It’s as if Ally didn’t even hear him or know he was there.  He looked at her and saw that she had her headphones on.  He decided to tap her on the shoulder to get her attention.

POW!

“Oww!”  Minwoo said as he fell to the ground.  Just then the guys turned around to find Minwoo on the ground.  They ran to him and began to laugh.

Ally took her headphones off and set them down.

“Minwoo!  Are you okay?”  She asked him as she helped him get up from the floor.

By then the guys were all standing around him laughing.

“Ha, ha.  You think this is funny huh.”  Minwoo replied to the guys.

“I’m so sorry.”  Ally said to him.

“Why’d you do that for?”  Minwoo asked with one hand on his jaw.

“I’m sorry, you shouldn’t have tapped me on the shoulder in the first place.  Instant reaction you know.”  Ally said.

“Well did you have to punch that hard?”

“I’m sorry, let me see.”  Ally said to him as she tried to move his hand from his jaw to see if he was alright.

“No that’s okay, I’m fine.”  Minwoo said as he stepped back.

“Come one Minwoo, I’m not gonna hurt you.”  She said to him as she stepped forward to try again.  “Look, you’re bleeding!”

Minwoo looked at his hand that was holding his jaw and saw some blood on it.  They sat down on the mat while Lao ran to get some alcohol, ointment, and a cotton swabs.  He came back and handed them to Ally who was sitting next to Minwoo.

“This might sting a little.”  Ally said to him as she cleaned his cut lip.

“Oww!”  Minwoo said as he moved back.  “That hurt!”

“I’m sorry, I told you that I would sting.”  She said to him while trying to clean the wound.

“Stop being such a baby.”  Eric said as the others started to laugh again.

“Ha, ha.  How about I give you the opportunity to experience it too.”  Minwoo said to Eric.

“Come one guys, that’s not funny.  I’m really sorry for punching you Minwoo.  I guess I don’t know my own strength.”  She said to him as she finished putting ointment on his lip.  “There, all better now.  How does it feel?”

“I’m fine now.  Thanks Ally.”

“No problem, it’s the least I can do after I punched you.  I’m really sorry, it’s just that I felt a tap on my shoulder and then POW!  My fist just decided to land on your face.”

“Look, you don’t have to apologize.  It was my fault anyways, I should have just walked around so you could see me.”

“Alright, alright.  Break it up.”  Amy said as she stepped in.  “So what are you guys doing here anyways?”

“Oh, we came in to get a little workout, but we can see Minwoo got his.”  Jin said.

“Alright, that’s enough.”  Ally responded.

They decided to get back to their workouts.  Ally decided to run laps instead because she didn’t wanna accidentally hit someone else.  Minwoo was staring at her and he could see that she had something on her mind.  He decided to ask Amy.

~Chapter 20~

~Utada Hikaru~ ‘Wait and See’

“Hey Amy?”  He said to her as he approached her.

“Hey, what’s up?”  She asked.

“Can I ask you something?”

“Sure, shoot.”  She said to him while she was stretching.

“Is there something wrong with Ally?”

“Oh, you noticed too huh.”  Amy replied.

“Did she say anything to you?”

“No but I could see it in her eyes that she had something bothering her.”  Amy said to him.  “Hey Minwoo, can you do me a favor?”

“Sure, what is it?”

“I’m worried about her.  I asked her what she had planned for the weekend and she just told me that she was gonna stay home.  I told her that she could come with Huang and me but she refused.  She said that she was tired and that she wanted to relax.”

“So what do you want me to do?”  He asked.

“If it’s not too much trouble, can you and the guys get her out of the house this weekend?  She says she was gonna be fine but I just think that she needs to have some fun.  She deserves it, I mean she’s been working so hard lately.”

“Sure, don’t worry about it, we’ll keep her busy until you come back.  You just enjoy your trip with Huang.”

“Thanks Minwoo.  I knew you’d pull through.”  She said to him as she hugged him.

“What’s that suppose to mean?”  Minwoo asked.

“Oh come on Minwoo, I know you like Ally.”

“Did Eric tell you that?  I’m gonna kill him.”  Minwoo said as he was about to turn around and yell at Eric.

“Minwoo, Eric didn’t tell me anything.  I can see it in your eyes every time you two meet or even the subject of Ally pops out.”

“Does she know?”

“Don’t worry, I didn’t tell her.  Besides she’s too busy to notice, which is why I need you to make this weekend the best weekend she’s ever had.  She needs to have fun!”  Amy said to him.

Minwoo was a little disappointed at what Amy said.

“Look Minwoo, I didn’t mean it that way.  It’s not that she doesn’t like you or anything.  I’m just saying that she’s never liked anyone before and so she doesn’t have the experience.  She’s like a lost child who needs to be guided through it.  Look, if it makes you feel better she did tell me that she thought you were cute.”

Just then Minwoo’s face brightened up.  “Really, what else did she say about me?”

“Don’t push your luck buddy.”  Amy replied.  “Look, you gotta give it time.  She’s been through a lot you know.  She’s really fragile right now.  You gotta be the one to guide her through this.”

“It’s not as easy as you think.  I’ve tried but she just won’t open up to me.”  Minwoo replied.

“Look, you’ve already gotten farther than anyone.  She told me about what happened that night you two dozed off on my couch.  She never told anyone about this, I was the only one who knew.”  Amy told him trying to comfort him.  “She’s not ready yet but when the time comes, she’ll be there and never let go.  You’ll see.”

“Alright, if it’s time she needs then I won’t push her.”

“That’s what I wanna hear from you.”  “Amy said.  “Well I better be leaving, I gotta get cleaned up before Huang comes to pick me up.”

“You have a good weekend, and don’t worry I’ve got it under control.”  Minwoo said to Amy.

“Have what under control?”  Ally asked as she walked closer to them.

“Ally!”  Minwoo said in a shocked voice.

“Minwoo, what do you have under control?”  She asked him again.

“Oh, it’s nothing.  Just business.”  He replied.

“Really, what kind of business?  Maybe I can help.”

“Oh, Ally.  It’s nothing.  I was just asking Minwoo here to teach my friend a few moves that’s all.”  Amy said to her trying to cover up.

“Oh, alright.  Well ready to go then?”  Ally asked Amy.

“Yeah, let’s go.  Bye” Amy said as she turned around and walked towards the door.

“It was nice seeing you again.”  Minwoo said to Ally.

“Nice seeing you again too.  I’m sorry about the lip.”

“Don’t worry, it’ll heal.  I figure out some way for you to make it up.”  He said to her with a smile on his face.

“Alright, you let me know when you figure it out.  Bye Minwoo.”  Ally said to him as she ran to catch up with Amy.  They walked out of the gym and headed to Amy’s car.

Ding… dong…

“I got it!”  Ally said as she ran to open the door.

“Hey Ally.”

“Hi Huang.  Come in.”  Ally said to him as he entered the house.  “She’ll be out in a minute.  She’s just double checking to see that she didn’t miss anything.”

“So how have you been?”  Huang asked as they sat down on the couch.

“I’ve been doing good.  It’s been very peaceful these days.  And you?”

“I’ve been working non stop, but that’s all done now.  Now I can actually spend some time with Amy.”  Huang replied.

“That’s good.  You two need sometime together.  Besides Amy needs some time to relax before she goes back to work.”  Ally said with a smile on her face.

“Ally?”

“What?”

“Are you really okay?”  Huang asked with a concerned look.

“Huang, I told you I’m fine.”

“I know you’re lying to me.  It’s me Huang, I know you better than you think and I can see it in your eyes that there’s something bothering you.”  Huang said to her.  “So what is it?”

“Look, I’m not gonna lie to you.  You know me too well.  Just promise me that you won’t tell Amy.  I don’t want her to worry.”

“You know me, I won’t tell her.”

“The thing is, these past two weeks have been great.  I’ve never felt so happy in my life.  I’ve made new friends who care for me, I love my job, and life has been good.”

“So then what’s wrong with that?  You of all people deserve to he happy.”  Huang replied.

“That’s just it.  Happy, the last time I remember being happy was when I was a little girl.  This, this feeling of joy.  It scares me.  What if I’m not supposed to experience it?  What if it’s just another trick that’s gonna lead me to pain and sorrow?”

“Ally, why do you always think that way?”  Huang said to her while brushing a strand of hair from her face.  “All the time I’ve known you, you’ve always looked out for everyone but yourself.  You always made sure that they were happy even if it meant leaving you miserable.  I know that you’re scared of being loved, but you can’t restrain.  You gotta let go of all the pain and enjoy the happiness that’s coming to you.”

“But Huang, what if…”

“There is no what ifs?  You deserve to be happy.  It hurts me to see you in pain.  Why can’t you just accept the fact that you have friends who care about you, that you’re new life is wonderful, and that you have to allow us to love you?”

“I’m sorry.  It’s just so hard.  I don’t know how to react to all this.  I’m afraid that I’ll fall into deep and then it’ll all be taken away from me again.”  Ally said to him as tears began to fall from her eyes.

“Ally, just open your heart and embrace the world.  Let go of the past, and live for your future.”  Huang said to her while wiping her tears.

“Alright!  I’m all set.”  Amy said as she walked out of her room with her suitcase.  “Ally, what’s wrong?  Why are you crying?  Huang, what did you do to her?”

“Huh?  I…  I…”

“It wasn’t Huang, Amy.  I’m just crying tears of joy that’s all.  I’m really happy for you and Huang.  He’s come a long way from whom he was.  And so I was just telling him how proud I was of him and then tears just began to fall.  You know me, I’m a sucker for these moments.”  Ally said to Amy to cover up the truth of why she was really crying.

“Oh, come here Ally.”  Amy said as she gave her friend a hug.  “It makes me so happy to finally see you happy.”

“Well we better be leaving.  I’ll carry your bags to the car while you two say your good byes.”  Huang said as he grabbed Amy’s suitcase and walked out the door.

“Bye Huang.”  Amy said.  “And thanks.”

“No problem Ally.  Just remember what I said.”  He said to her as he walked out of the house.

“Well, have fun and don’t do anything I wouldn’t do.”  Ally said to Amy with a smile on her face.

“Are you sure you don’t wanna come with us?”

“I’m sure, don’t’ worry I’ll be fine.  Now go and be with your boyfriend already.”  Ally responded.

“Alright.  I’ll see you on Monday than.  Just remember, I don’t want you spending your whole weekend sitting in front of that TV.  Go out and have fun!”  Amy said to her as she gave her one last hug and walked out the door to join Huang who was already in the car waiting for her.  Ally looked out the window and waved at them as they left.  She then turned around and sat back on the couch.  She turned on the TV to see what was on but after a couple flips back and forth between channels she gave up and turned off the TV.

‘It’s even more quiet now that Amy’s not here.’  Ally thought to herself.  She stared at the ceiling and then tears started flowing from her eyes.

“Why, why are you crying Ally?”  She said to herself.  “Why is it so painful for you to accept that you’re happy?  I hate you, I hate you so much.  Why can’t you just be happy that you’re life is getting better?  Why?”  Ally just sat there crying uncontrollably.

Ding… Dong…

‘Who could that be?’  Ally thought to herself as she was caught off guard.  She got up and wiped the tears from her face.  She then looked in the mirror to make sure they couldn’t tell she was crying.  It was no use; her eyes were red and puffy from crying.  She decided to drop it and just open the door.

Ding… Dong…

“Alright, alrigh!  I’m coming.”  She yelled as she opened the door.

“Surprise!”  Minwoo said to her as he let himself in.

“Minwoo, what are you doing here?”  Ally said to him shocked.

“Well the guys and I are gonna go to the park and play some basketball.  So I came by to see if you wanted to come seeing as Amy’s not here to keep you company.”  He then looked at Ally’s face and saw that she was crying.  “Ally, what’s wrong?”

“Huh, oh nothing, nothing’s wrong.  Why do you ask?”

“You’ve been crying.  Your eyes are all puffy and red.  What happened?”  He asked with a concerned look on his face.

“Oh, It’s nothing.  I was just watching a sad movie that’s all.  You caught me at the sad part.”  Ally said to him.

“It doesn’t look like you were watching a movie.”  Minwoo said to her pointing at the TV that wasn’t on.  “Besides I didn’t hear anything when I was standing by your door.”

“Well I was watching TV.”  Ally said to him.  “And how long have you been standing at my door to say that you didn’t hear anything?”  She said to him trying to change the subject.

“Huh, oh.  Well actually I got here like 5 minutes ago.  I just didn’t know how to tell you the news.  You know me, gotta make an impression.”  He said with one hand behind his head.

“Right, a good impression.  I mean we wouldn’t want your fans to think that Lee Minwoo was insensitive or a slob.”  Ally said to him with a smile on her face.

“So come on, get dressed and let’s go.  The guys are waiting.”  Minwoo said to her in excitement.

“I don’t know, I think I’m gonna pass on this one.  Besides I’m a little tired.”  Ally said to him trying not to hurt his feelings.

“Oh now come on Ally, it’ll be fun.  It’s us, the guys; you always have fun when you’re with us.  Please?”  He said to her with puppy eyes.

“Ah!  I hate it when guys do that.  Do you actually think that putting on a puppy face is help you always get your way?”  She said to him.

“Yeah.  So please.”  He said to her again with the puppy eyes.

“Alright, alright.  But not because of the puppy eyes.  The only reason why I’m going is because I overheard you guys talking all macho about me and my punching skills.  I’m gonna show them a little something about playing real basketball.”  She said to him as she went to her room to change.  Ally came back out with a pair of shorts and a long sweater that covered her shorts.  If you didn’t know she was wearing shorts under you’d probably think the sweater was all that she was wearing.

Minwoo was shocked to see how cute she looked in the sweater and just kept on looking at her.

“Minwoo?”  She said to him while waving her hand in front of his face.  “Hello, earth to Minwoo Lee.  Are you there?”

“Huh, oh yeah, yeah.  Umm… are you sure you wanna wear that?”  He said to her.

“What?  What’s wrong with this?  I always play basketball in a sweater and shorts.”

“Well, it’s just that it’s a little chilly outside.  You might be cold.”  He said to her trying to cover up the real excuse.  He had to admit that she looked really cute in her little assemble but the fact was Minwoo didn’t want people staring at her.

“Aww, Minwoo.  So nice of you to worry that I’m gonna be cold.”  She said with a smirk on her face.

“That’s just the guy I am.”  He said to her.  “So are you gonna change?”

“Look as much as I wanna believe that you think I’m gonna get cold, I just don’t.  I may not be the master when it comes to signs but I saw the way you looked at me when I came out.”  Ally said to him again with a smirk on her face.

“No, no.  It’s not that.”

“Come on Minwoo, I’m a big girl.  I can take care of myself.  Now come on, let’s play some ball.”  She said to him as she grabbed his hand and dragged him to his car.  They got into his car and drove to the park to meet the others.

When they reached the basketball court the guys were already there waiting for them.  Minwoo and Ally walked towards them.

“Hey guys!”  Ally called as she waved to them.  They all turned around and saw Ally and Minwoo walking towards them.

“Whoa Ally?”  Jin said to her.

“What?”

“If looks could kill, we’d all be dead right now.”  Dongwan said to her.

“Ha, ha.  Very funny, but I came here to play some ball.”  Ally said to them.

“How are we supposed to play when you’re looking like that?”  Eric said to her.  Ally started to turn red.

“Aww now come on you guys.  You don’t see me commenting on your assemble.”  Ally said to them pointing at what they were wearing.

All of them had their shirts off except for Minwoo and Hyesung.

“I mean, how do you expect me to play when you’ll be too distracted by the attention those girls over there are giving you.”

“Alright, you have a point.”  Eric said to her.  “Well let’s form teams.  Ally, you can be on Hyesung and Jin’s team.  I’ll take Minwoo and Dongwan.  Alright, let’s play.”

“But first, why don’t we make a little wager.”  Jin said.

“What you got in mind?”  Dongwan asked.

“I know.”  Ally said to them.  “How about the losers have to do whatever the winners tell them to do.”

“Alright, fine with us.  This will be a piece of cake.”  Eric said with a smirk on his face.  “I already know what I want you guys to do.”

“Ha, ha.  In your dreams Eric.”  Jin replied.

The game started.  They were playing for about half an hour now.  It was the last quarter and the points were tied.  The guys were really surprised that Ally could play basketball really well.  By now a group of girls and a few guys were sitting by the courts watching them play.  The girls were cheering the guys on basically because they had their shirts off and they were sweating.  Ally didn’t care much because she had guys there cheering for her also.

“Wow, she’s really good.”  One guy said to his friend.

“Yeah, I didn’t think someone so tiny could play so well.”  His friend responded.

“Not to mention she looks hella fine in that sweater and short shorts.”

“Time!”  Ally called out.  “I need to get a drink.”  She said to them as she walked to the bench.

She grabbed one of the bottles of water and took a sip from it.  She then took a towel and wiped the sweat from her face and neck.  She decided to take off her sweater because she was really hot.  Although she didn’t notice, this drew all the guy’s attention towards her.  They just stood there and glared at her as she took the sweater off.  Underneath she was wearing a white tank top that made her look even tinier.  That wasn’t the reason why the guys looked at her though.  They were staring at her because she looked even more seductive in the tank top.  She turned around to find them staring at her.

“Aww come on now guys, not again.”  She said to them as the grabbed the ball from Eric’s hand.  “Come on let’s finish this game so that I can wipe the floor with you.”

“Ha, ha.  In your dreams Ally.”  Eric said with a smirk on his face.  “No one beats Eric Mum.”

Everyone got back into focus except Minwoo.  He was still mesmerized by the way Ally looked in that white tank top.

‘Dear god, she looks even better in that tank top.’  He thought to himself.  Then all of a sudden...

POW!

“Oww!”  Minwoo said as he landed on the floor.

“Oh my god!  Are you alright!”  Ally said to him as she ran to help him up.

“Yeah, what happened?”  He asked.  By now the guys were all standing around him.

“What happened?  Hello, I was calling you cause you were open!  I passed the ball to you but I guess you were out of it and it hit you.  That’s what happened!”  Eric said with an angry tone.

“What were you doing daydreaming?”  Dongwan said to him.

“I wasn’t daydreaming.”  Minwoo replied while rubbing the spot on his head that got hit by the basketball.

“Daydreaming, more like staring at Ally.”  Jin said in a joking manner.

“Shut up Jin.”  Minwoo said to him.

“Now come on guys, no time to argue.  We’ve got a game to finish.  You guys can get back at each other after we win.”  Ally said as she grabbed the ball.

“Yeah, we’re gonna beat you so bad that you wished you were back at the studio working.”  Hyesung said to them.

“Come on guys, let’s get focus this time.”  Eric said to Minwoo and Dongwan.  “This is our last chance and we’re trailing by a few points.  I can’t lose this game.  So that means you gotta focus on the game Minwoo.”

“Yeah, Minwoo, you take Hyesung, I got Jin and Eric’s got Ally.  Now come on, let’s win this game and show them who the real winners are.”  Dongwan said as they got back to the game.

They began to play again.  Ten minutes past and it was the last point.  Ally had the ball and was trying to pass it to Hyesung or Jin but couldn’t because Minwoo and Dongwan blocked them both.  Eric mad sure that she wouldn’t be able to pass the ball to any of them.  There was ten seconds left on the clock and Ally did the only thing she could.  She managed to get away from Eric and then she threw the ball.  Everything then on came in slow motion.

10… 9… 8… 7… 6… 5… 4… 3… 2… 1…

The ball hit the rim and began to roll around it, then…

“YEAH!”  Ally screamed at she saw the ball fall into the hoop.

Hyesung and Jin were so happy that they ran to her and began to hug her.  Eric was so disappointed that he lost but more embarrassed.

“I lost, and to who.  A girl.  I’m gonna be the laughing stock now.”  He said while he buried his face with his hands.

Dongwan and Minwoo didn’t care that they lost the game.  They were just happy that it was over.  They walked over to Ally, Hyesung, and Jin to congratulate them.

“Good shot Ally!”  Dongwan said to her while giving her a hug.

“Thanks, it was a piece of cake like Eric would say.”

“Yeah, I didn’t think someone like you could be so skilled at basketball.”  Minwoo said to her.

“You’re not bad yourself.”  She said to him as she gave him a hug.

“Yeah, you’d probably be better if you focused on the game instead of the girls around you.”  Eric said.

“Aww, is my Eric mad because he lost.”  Minwoo replied.

“Aww come one now guys.  You’re on the same team.  Besides I think Eric played really well.”  Ally said to them as she gave Eric a hug.

“Now for our reward.”  Jin said.

“That’s right, we won, and you guys lost.”  Hyesung said rubbing it in Eric’s face.

“Alright, alright.  Let’s get it over with.  I mean, I can’t get more embarrassed than this.  So what you guys got in mind?”  Eric asked.

Ally, Hyesung, and Jin got into a huddle and decided what they were gonna have the guys do.

“Ha, ha!  That’s a great idea.”  Jin said as he and Hyesung laughed.

“Yeah, good one Ally.  Now all I gotta do is get the supplies.”  Hyesung said as he ran to his car and drove off.

“Where’s Hyesung going?”  Dongwan asked.

“Oh, he’s just getting some necessities to carry out your end of the bet.”  Jin said with a grin on his face.

Ten minutes later Hyesung came back with a huge white bag.

“You got the stuff?”  Ally asked him.

“Everything’s here, now all we need is an audience.”  Hyesung said with a smirk on his face.

“I’ll take care of that.  You two just make sure that the guys do their part.”  Ally said with a mischievous look in her eyes.

Jin and Hyesung dragged the guys into their cars as Ally gathered up a crowd of people, which wasn’t hard for her since there already was a pretty huge crowd of people there watching their game.

As the guys were pushed into the car Jin and Hyesung threw some clothes at them.

“What’s this?”  Dongwan asked confused.

“Those are your uniforms.”  Hyesung said laughing.

“Yeah, so put them on.”  Jin replied.

“I ain’t putting this on!”  Eric said in an angry tone.

“Yeah, these are girls cheerleading uniforms.  What makes you think that we’re actually gonna put these on.”  Minwoo complained.

“Oh, come on guys, a deals a deal.  Now quit being such babies and but the damn skirts on.”  Hyesung said to them as the guys got undressed and put on the uniforms.

“Sniff… My babies are all grown up.”  Jin said as Hyesung started to laugh again.

“Shut up Jin!”  Eric said as he pulled the skirt up.  “I’m gonna get you two for this.  This is worst than losing the game!”

“That’s the whole point bro!”  Dongwan said.

“Hey, don’t yell at us, we’re not the ones who thought this whole situation out.”  Jin said while trying to keep a straight face.

“Yeah, this was Ally’s idea.  She came up with this all by herself.  Now come on, the audience is waiting.”  Hyesung said as they dragged the guys out of the car to where a crowd of people was now standing.

Ally was working up the crowd as they cheered.  “Are you guys ready!”  She screamed to them as they replied!

Ally looked to see that the guys were ready and walking towards her.  “Here they are!”  She called out to the crowd.

“Please give a huge round of applause for “THE SHINHWANETS!””  She screamed as the crowd went wild seeing the guys dressed up as cheerleaders.

Hyesung, Jin, and Ally just stood there laughing at them.

“Alright, alright.  You had your fun Ally.  Now can we get out of these clothes?”  Eric said to her.

“What are you talking, about?  I didn’t gather all these people here just to see you in a miniskirt.  The fun has only begun.”  She said to him with a mischievous look on her face.

“What!”  Minwoo called.

“Oh come on guys, this is pretty fun.  I mean look at all the attention I’m getting.  I look pretty good in a cheerleader’s uniform.”  Dongwan replied.

“See, Dongwan’s enjoying it!”  Jin replied as he and Hyesung broke out laughing.

“Alright, alright.  Let’s get it over with.”  Minwoo said.

“That’s what I wanna hear.”  Ally said to them as she explained the real reason for the uniforms.

“What!  You want is to what!”  Minwoo yelled.

“You heard me, I want you guys to make a cheer about Hyesung, Jin and me.  And remember, you gotta have a little dance to go along with it also.”  Ally said with a grin on her face.

“No way!  There is no way in hell am I gonna do this!”  Eric said to Ally.

“Aww now come on Eric?  You promised remember.  Please…”  Ally said to him with puppy eyes that no guy could say no to.

“AH!  I hate it when girls do that!  Alrgiht, alright, I’ll do it.”  Eric said as he, Minwoo, and Dongwan huddled to figure out a cheer.

After ten minutes the guys came up with a cheer.

“Alright, now for the moment you’ve all been waiting for.  Here are the “SHINHWANETS!”  Ally called out as the crowd went wild.

The guys got into position and began their cheer.

“Hyesung, Hyesung, he’s our man!  If he can’t sing it, no one can.  Jun Jin, Jun Jin, the macho man, he’ll flirt with any girl that he can.”  The guys cheered out as they did their little dancing performance.

“Alright everyone!”  Eric shouted out.

“Give me an ‘A’!”

“A”

“Give me an ‘L’!”

“L”

“Give me another ‘L’!”

“Give me a ‘Y’!”

“Y”

“What does that spell?”

“ALLY!”

“Ally, Ally, she’s our girl, she may look sweet and frail but piss her off and she’ll beat your ass!”

The audience went wild, and so did Ally, Hyesung, and Jin.

After the crowd dispersed the guys went back to the car to change.  Ally was waiting for them to change and decided to take a sip of water.  The next thing she knew she was all wet.

She turned around to see who got her all wet and saw the guys standing there with water balloons in their hands.

“Ah!  I’m gonna get you guys for this!”  She yelled as she ran after them picking up a few balloons herself.  They were running around getting soaked from the water balloons when they all decided to gang up on Ally.  She had run out of balloons and the guys each had just one left.  They got her cornered by the bathrooms.

“Alright, alright!  I give in.”  Ally said to them who were now standing around her.  “Give me your best shot.”  She said as she stood there for them to throw the balloons at her and soak her clothes up again.  They all threw the balloons as her and got her all soaked up.

“There are you guys happy now!”  She said to them wiping the water from her face.

“Hey, I told you we’d get you back!”  Eric said with a smile on his face.

“Yeah, I knew that but Hyesung and Jin, you guys were on my team?  What’s the deal?”  She asked them.

“We’re sorry Ally, we just couldn’t’ resist.  It was just too tempting.”  Jin replied.

“Yeah, boys will be boys.”  She said to them with her hand behind her back.

“Hey, we’re not boys, we’re men.”  Dongwan said to her.

“You’re all wet that’s what you are!”  Ally said to them as she grabbed the hose behind her and turned it on at full blast, soaking all the guys up.

“Ha, ha!  How do you like that!”  She said to them while the guys were trying to run away form her.

“Alright, alright!  You win!  We give up!”  The guys said in unison.

“No one messes with Ally Kim and gets away with it!”  She said to them turning off the hose.

They decided to leave it at that and dried themselves off.

“That was fun but now I’m starving!”  Jin said to them.

“Yeah, let’s get something to eat!”  Dongwan said as he rubbed his belly.

They hoped into their cars and drove off to the nearby restaurant.

“Hello, welcome to Sunnies, what can I get you guys today?”  The waitress asked them.

They gave her their orders and then went back to joking around and laughing.

“I’ll have to admit Ally, you play ball just like anyone of us.”  Eric said to her.

“Thanks Eric, and I’ll have to admit, you looked better in that skirt than I ever would.”

Just then the guys started to laugh again.

“Yeah, she’s right.  I can’t believe Dongwan actually was enjoying the attention.”  Jin said to Dongwan.

“What?  I happened to look good in a mini skirt.”  He responded.

“Oh, but the best was Minwoo.  Ha, ha!  You should have seen the look on your face!  A Kodak moment!”  Hyesung said to him laughing.

“Ha, ha.  You guys had your fun.”  Minwoo replied.

“Aww come on Minwoo, I happened to think you looked really cute in that outfit.”  Ally said to him while pinching his cheeks.

Just then the waitress came back with their food.  “Here you are, enjoy your meal.”  She said to them as the turned around and walked back to the kitchen.

“Ah!  Finally!  Let’s eat!”  Jin said as he and the guys began to stuff their faces with food.  Ally just stood there looking at them shocked to see them eat so fast without even swallowing.

“What?”  Jin said with his mouth full.

“Yeah, Ally, aren’t you gonna eat?”  Dongwan asked.

She picked up her knife and fork and began to eat.  The guys stopped eating and were now just looking at her eat.  Ally looked up to see them staring at her.

“What?  Do I have something on my face?”  She asked wiping her mouth with her napkin.

“Even at a place like this she eats properly.”  Eric said to her.

“What’s that suppose to mean?”  Ally said offended.

“It’s just that you don’t have to act like this in front of us.  We’re buds!  Just eat like you would usually eat.”  Dongwan responded.

“But this is how I usually eat.”  Ally replied.

They smiled and laughed and then went back to eating.  After they finished eating it was getting late and so they decided to go home.

“Ill meet you guys back at the house.”  Minwoo said to them as he and Ally got into his car.

“Bye Ally!”  The guys said in unison as they got into their cars.

“Bye guys!  And thanks I had a great day!”  She said to them as she waved goodbye.

As soon as Ally got into the car she was tired from all the fun she had.  As Minwoo drove her home she feel asleep.  When she woke up she found Minwoo staring at her.

“Minwoo?”  She said to him.  “Why didn’t you wake me up?”

“You were asleep and I didn’t wanna bother you.  You looked so peaceful laying there.”

“Where are we?  This isn’t my house?”  She said to him as she looked out the window.  “Wait, I remember this place.  This is where we came here after my parents died.  What are we doing here Minwoo?”

“I brought you here because there’s something I needed to tell you.”  He replied to her in a soft voice.

“What is it?”  She asked him.

They got out of the car and walked towards the tree where they sat under that morning.

“Look Ally, I’m not going to lie to you.  The reason why I came to pick you up today was because Amy was worried about you.”

“I know.”

“You what?  How?”  Minwoo asked confused.

“Look, the truth is, I wasn’t feeling too good this morning.  I just wanted to be alone, but when you showed up at the house and asked me to go out with you guys I knew that what I really needed was to spend time with friends.”

“I’m sorry I didn’t tell you earlier.  I hate lying to you Ally.”  Minwoo said with a smile on his face.

“It’s alright, besides you didn’t lie to me, Amy made you come and get me.”

“I didn’t drag you out of the house today because Amy made me, I wanted to spend the day with you.”  Minwoo said to her.

“Look Minwoo, since we’re at truce right now, there’s something I should tell you.”

“What is it?”  He asked.

“This morning when you came to get me and you asked me why I was crying, I lied.  The truth is, I wasn’t crying because of a movie.  I was crying because I’ve never felt this way before.”

“What do you mean Ally?”

“All my life I always made sure that everyone was happy, I was so occupied with that, that I never took the time to make myself happy.  Even if it meant me being miserable as long as I knew my family and friends were happy, that was fine with me.  But now, everything’s changed.  These past two weeks have been the greatest.  I came here to start a new life, made new friends, and actually have a job that I love.  I’ve never been this happy in my life and it scared me.  It scared me so much that I just broke down and cried.”

“Ally, come here.”  He said to her as he held her in his arms.  “Why are you always so hard on yourself?  Can’t you just accept the fact that you’re life is turning around?  You don’t have to worry anymore, that’s what we’re here for.”

“I know Minwoo, I know.  But it’s just that what if this is just a relapse to what’s really to come?  I just don’t wanna hurt anyone.”  Ally said to him as tears began to run down her face.

“Ally look at me.”  He said to her as he raised her chin.  “We’re all here safe and sound.  And we’re not going anywhere.  It’s time to let go of the past and live for the future.”  He began to wipe the tears from her eyes.

“You’re right, I should stop worrying so much and just accept the fact that I’m happy.”  She said to him with a smile.  “How did I come to know such a great guy like you?”

“That’s just who I am.  A great guy.”  Minwoo replied with a childish look on his face.

“Yeah, and a really cute guy you are also.”  Ally said to him as she got up.

Minwoo was shocked at what he just heard and started to blush.

“Oh my god, is this what I thing it is?  Is Mr. Lee Minwoo blushing from my comment?”  Ally said to him as she picked up some leaves from the ground and threw them at him.

“Now you’re gonna get it!”  He said to her as he got up and ran after her.  They were running around and then as he tried to grab her he ended up slipping and fell to the ground.

“Are you alright?”  Ally said to him laughing as she walked towards him.

“Come on, I’ll help you up.”  She said to him as she handed her hand to him.  With a smirk on his face he grabbed her hand and pulled her down where he was laying.  Ally fell to the ground next to him as he rolled on her and grabbed both her hands.

“Ha!  Got you!”  He said to her as he lay on top of her smiling.

“You purposely fell didn’t you.”  Ally said to him staring into his eyes.  They stayed like that for a while in silence and then she could see the expression in his eyes change.

“Ally?”

“Yeah, what is it?”

“There’s something else that I think you should know.”

“What is it?”  She said to him with a smile on her face.

Just then he looked deep into her eyes as he lowered his lips to meet hers.

Shocked at what was happening Ally just froze there with her eyes wide open.  Minwoo was now looking at her, waiting for an answer.

“Ally?”  He asked as he saw her stare straight at him.  “Please say something?”  Still no answer, it’s as if she was in her own world, just then…

“Huh?”  Ally said as she snapped out of it.  “Oh my gosh!  It’s getting late, we better be going.”  She said to him as she got up and walked to the car leaving Minwoo there still lying on the grass hurt.

The ride home was silent.  The only noise was the noise from the car and the wind outside.  Minwoo glanced at Ally once and a while just to find her staring at the window in the same position each time.

‘What was I thinking?’  He thought to himself as he made a turn.  ‘Minwoo you idiot.  How could you have kissed her?  I’ve lost her, I’ve lost her for good.’

Ally was staring at the window, staring into the endless sky, or at least it seemed like she was.  She was still shocked by what just had happened; she didn’t know what to do, what to say, or how to feel anymore.  She just had a blank look on her face.

‘What just happened?’  She thought to herself. ‘Why?  Why did you kiss me Minwoo?  Why did you have to be so nice to me?  Why couldn’t you just look the other way and not care about me?’

Minwoo pulled into Ally’s driveway and stopped the car.  He then turned to Ally who was still in the same position he last saw her.

“Ally.”  He said to her in a low soft voice.  No answer.

“Ally.”  He said again a little louder.

“Huh?  What?”  Ally said as she snapped out of her thoughts.  She looked around and realized that she was home.

“We’re here.”  He said to her.

“Right, home, I knew that.”  She said as she got out of the car and started to walk up the stair.  She was thinking to herself and then remembered that she had forgotten her sweater in the car.  She turned around to go back and get it but found Minwoo behind her holding her sweater.

“Wait, I forgot…”  She said as the turned around.

“Your sweater.”  He said to her as he handed it to her.

“Thanks.”  She replied as she grabbed it.  “What are you doing?”  She asked him.

“I thought I’d walk you to your door.”  He replied.

“You don’t have to do that.  I mean, it’s late, you’re probably tired.  You should go home.  You know, and rest.”

“It’s nothing, besides what kind of gentlemen would I be by not walking you to your door?”  He said to her as he started walking up the stairs and then turned to Ally.  “Ally?  Are you coming?”

“Huh?  Oh yeah, I’m coming.”  She said to him as they both walked to her door.

Ally searched for her keys and then opened the door.  She turned around to Minwoo who was standing behind her.

“We’ll I’m here, so you can go home now.”  She said to him with a smile on her face.

“Yeah you are.”  He said in a low voice.

“Yeah… I am…”

“Well I’ll see you tomorrow then.”  Minwoo said to her with a smile on his face.

“Yeah, sure.  Bye.”  She said to him as she walked into the house.

“Bye.”  He said to her, then turned around and walked to his car.

Ally just stood there looking at him as he got into his car.  She then closed the door and just collapse behind it.

‘What am I suppose to do now?’  She thought to herself.

Minwoo turned on the car and drove out of Ally’s driveway heading home.  When he got there he just sat in his car thinking about what happened.

‘I shouldn’t have kissed her.  Why did I kiss her?  Minwoo you idiot, what is she gonna think of you now?  It was too early, she just wasn’t ready.’

Minwoo stepped out of the car and walked up the steps to his house.  He opened the door to find the rest of the guys sitting down in the living room watching a movie.

“Minwoo, what took you so long?”  Eric asked with a smirk on his face.

“Yeah, it doesn’t take four hours to send Ally home.”  Dongwan replied.

They were joking around but then Hyesung looked to see why Minwoo wasn’t responding to their remarks.  He looked at Minwoo’s face and could see that something was wrong.

“What’s wrong Minwoo?”  He asked as Minwoo sat down on the couch.

Silent fell upon the room.  They just sat there waiting for him to reply.

“I kissed her.”  He said in a soft voice.

“You what?”  Jin said in a shocked tone.

“Alright!  You the man!”  Eric said to him slapping him on the shoulder while the others shouted and rooted for him.

“It’s about time too.  I don’t how much longer I could stand seeing you looking like a lost puppy.”  Dongwan said to him.

They all laughed except Minwoo.  He just sat there and let out a huge sigh that lead the attention back to him.

“So you kissed her?”  Hyesung said to him.  “Why the long face then?”

“Yeah, shouldn’t you be happy?”  Jin added.

“Alright guys, quit asking questions and let him talk.”  Eric said as the others quiet themselves.  “So what happened?”
