CHAPTER 16 EunBi got off the bus and walked the rest of the way home. When her house came into view, she saw a man standing on the porch, but there weren't any cars in the driveway. 'What if it's a burgular? Oh well...if it is, I'm mad enough to be able to kick his ass anyways...' EunBi thought. As she inched closer and closer, the man's figure was becoming more distinct. "JoonWoo oppa?" EunBi asked when she finally realized who it was. He turned around to see who had called his name. "Oh, Eunbi...where were you?" he asked as he stepped off the porch and walked towards her. EunBi frowned at his question. "I was just out...but where's your car? When did you come?" "Oh, I came from Japan today and my cousin wanted to borrow my car tonight, so he dropped me off here..." "I'm sorry...did you wait long?" EunBi asked. "No, not at all...I just got here about fifteen minutes ago...I was going to call first, but i wanted to surprise GyooHee...and I thought it'd be rude to drop in at such a late hour, but I couldn't wait to see her...by the way, where is she? She's back from her trip, right?" EunBi winced at the thought of her evil sister. "Let's go inside and talk," she said, changing the subject. Once she was inside, she kicked off her boots, took off her coat, and turned on the lights with an attitude. JoonWoo looked at EunBi and saw what she was wearing. He hadn't noticed how dressed up she was when they were outside because it was too dark to see. "I'm guessing you went somewhere special?" he asked. "Uh, not really..." EunBi answered as someone knocked on the door. "That must be GyooHee...please, let me get it..." JoonWoo said excitedly. He jumped up and hurriedly walked to the door and opened it...but to his surprise, he was face to face with another man. ChilHyun just stood there and stared blankly back, dumbfounded. "Hi...you must be a friend of EunBi's..." JoonWoo said after some silence. ChilHyun just nodded lightly and cleared his throat. "Sorry for interrupting," he said hoarsely as he turned to leave. EunBi wondered why it was taking JoonWoo oppa so long to answer the door, so she got up to see what was going on. She gasped when she saw ChilHyun's back turned, as he was walking off the porch. "ChilHyun oppa!" she called out, not wanting him to leave. JoonWoo just stood there beside EunBi, wondering why the guy was leaving. ChilHyun turned around and looked at her...she was looking back at him with such sad and hurt eyes. Just then, GyooHee's car pulled into the driveway, and she came out of the car. "ChilHyun oppa!" she called out when she saw him standing by himself, staring at something in front of him. She didn't expect to see him here. "What are you doing out here alone?" she asked as ChilHyun turned to face her. JoonWoo's heart jumped when he heard GyooHee's familiar voice. He pushed EunBi aside as he ran out to see if it was really her. "GyooHee yah!" he called out happily when he saw her as he ran over quickly to give her a hug. "JoonWoo oppa!" GyooHee gasped out as tears welled up in her eyes and held onto him tightly. ChilHyun watched the two embracing each other, bewildered and confused. 'JoonWoo? Isn't that the guy GyooHee ran off with...' EunBi stepped outside to witness the reunion of her sister and her so-called fiance. "When did you come?" GyooHee asked when she broke away from the hug. "A while ago...we need to talk...why'd you leave me like that?" JoonWoo asked with a shaky voice. GyooHee felt tears rolling down her cheeks when she saw ChilHyun and EunBi standing together speechlessy. "Come on...let's go inside-- all of us," she said as she grabbed JoonWoo's hand and led everyone else inside. JoonWoo and ChilHyun settled down on one couch as EunBi and GyooHee sat down on the couch across from them; the only thing that was separating the four was the coffee table between them. EunBi kept her head down, too shy to look at GyooHee or ChilHyun oppa after what happened at the club. "I'm tired...I'm gonna go rest," she said as she tried to get up. She was still dressed in the skimpy leopard skirt and tube-top and she suddenly felt embarrassed to be so naked. "No, stay, EunBi...I have a lot to say to you guys," GyooHee said seriously. "Every one of you..." EunBi reluctantly made herself comfortable on the couch again and took a breath. "Well, first of all...let me introduce you two," GyooHee said, looking at the guys sitting in front of her. "JoonWoo oppa, this is ChilHyun oppa...and ChilHyun oppa, this is JoonWoo oppa..." she hesitated for a moment. "He's my fiance..." "Nice to meet you ChilHyun," JoonWoo said as he turned to shake his hand. ChilHyun took his hand politely and answered back. "Yes, it's nice to meet you." GyooHee took a deep breath and continued to talk. "Have you met my sister yet?" she asked JoonWoo. "Yeah, we've already met..." he answered with a smile. "Okay, great...now that we all know each other..." GyooHee said a bit uneasily, "I believe I owe each of you an explanation and an apology..." EunBi sat with her arms crossed, trying to cover some of her bare skin. "This should be good," she said quietly, but rudely. "Okay, here I go..." GyooHee said, preparing to confess everything. "Let me start from the beginning...JoonWoo oppa...before we left to Japan/Korea, I was going out with ChilHyun oppa...and ChilHyun oppa~ I cheated on you by seeing JoonWoo oppa behind your back...I'm so sorry you guys...I don't know what I was thinking at the time..." she said hastily. JoonWoo nodded grimly as ChilHyun did the same. "And when I left to Japan with you...I didn't tell my family about it...that's why you've never met my parents before," GyooHee explained to JoonWoo apologetically. "I thought it would be good for me to go live with you and start a new life somewhat independently...but to tell you the truth, I got kinda scared and alone during those six years...it was hard living without my family at my young age." "Unnie..." EunBi began to speak with tears in her eyes. "No, let me finish..." GyooHee cut in. "JoonWoo oppa...I'm sorry I left you like that...I remember that fight we had before you left for your business trip...but then we made up afterwards..." Gyoohee smiled, remembering that day vividly. JoonWoo shifted from his position and cleared his throat. "Which is why I don't understand--" "Give me a chance to explain why I left you..." GyooHee cut in again. "Remember that 'midnight escapade' we had in the kitchen on the day we fought?" she asked with another smile. JoonWoo felt embarrassed, but nodded immediately. "Well, that's when I got pregnant..." GyooHee announced. She felt as if 50 pounds were lifted off of her shoulders; it felt so good to finally get out the truth. JoonWoo, ChilHyun, and EunBi sat shocked and speechless. GyooHee chuckled. "Yeah, oppa...I'm pregnant...that's why I left...because I got so scared, and I was feeling nostalgic and homesick...I wanted to see my family..." "Unnie--" "Wait, I'm not finished," GyooHee cut off EunBi once again. "Sorry sis, but I have to talk first, or I'm gonna explode cuz I can't take this anymore...." EunBi nodded and leaned back on the couch again. "That's why I left oppa...I was so scared because we're engaged and I'm pregnant with our baby...it just didn't feel right because my family wasn't there with me...so I came back to America...I kept in touch with the ahjumma (lady) next door and she told me that EunBi had come back to this house after six years of living in Korea...when I heard this I was so happy, and I left to reunite with my family..." GyooHee said with an unstable voice. She was about to cry but managed to hold her tears in. She tried so hard to keep them in, but after struggling a bit, a single tear dripped down her cheek as she quickly wiped it away. "When I came back, I felt as if I were 18 again, living a teen age life...I regretted leaving ChilHyun oppa...and I found out that EunBi had feelings for you..." GyooHee said, looking at ChilHyun apologetically. "I admit--I got jealous...oppa, that night at your house when you got drunk...I heard you calling out EunBi's name miserably...I didn't know what happened between the two of you, but I got jealous...and I wanted to get back what we once had when we were together...so I took advantage of you..." ChilHyun just looked at GyooHee with a blank expression, absorbing the information that was being thrown at him, and he felt a bit embarrassed when she mentioned the part about him and EunBi. "So that means the baby is not yours...I took a pregnancy test and had everything checked before I came here..." EunBi felt bad for the way she acted towards her sister and her vision was blurred by the tears that were threatening to fall any second. Yet she did have a feeling of relief that the baby is not ChilHyun's. "EunBi yah...I don't know how you found out about the baby, but thank you for stopping me from drinking tonight..." EunBi thought this was the right time to tell her sister about the phone call from the nurse. "Unnie, a nurse from the community hospital called while you were away on your trip with your friends...and she told me that you missed an appointment for a check-up...and that's when she told me about your pregnancy." "Oh, I see...wow, I forgot all about that appointment," GyooHee said with a light laugh...but her smile soon faded. "ChilHyun oppa...EunBi yah...I'm VERY sorry for the way I acted at the club tonight...this may sound stupid, but I got jealous of the way ChilHyun was looking at you...it's obvious that he likes you, EunBi...so when you brought up the baby, I told him that that the baby is his...aren't I stupid? I'm really sorry to have caused you all the hurt and shock...I just got carried away...being pregnant is a serious thing, and I shouldn't have lied about it like that...but I was scared and I didn't know how to deal with it..." GyooHee said pitifully. EunBi's tears were now flowing freely. "Unnie...you're not alone anymore..." she said as she pulled her sister in for a hug. "I'm so glad I got a chance to tell you guys honestly about everything...I'm truly sorry..." GyooHee said as she hugged her sister tighter. Once she let go, she turned to JoonWoo oppa. "I'm sorry...I didn't remain loyal to you...can you forgive me?" JoonWoo smiled. "It doesn't matter...we're engaged and you're pregnant with my kid..." he said happily. "Oh, oppa..." GyooHee said as she got up and hugged him with all her might. ChilHyun cleared his throat. "EunBi...maybe we should leave these two alone for a while..." he said as he got up. EunBi smiled shyly and nodded as she got up too. ChilHyun turned to GyooHee. "Thank you for clearing this up...I feel much better..." he said gratefully. GyooHee smiled. "Me too...I'm sorry about everything, oppa..." ChilHyun smiled and turned to EunBi. "Let's take a walk or something..." he said as he walked to the door and opened it. EunBi followed behind him, and soon, both of them were outside under the moon and stars. The two walked in silence. "Say something...it's too quiet..." ChilHyun said as he brushed his bangs out of the way. EunBi didn't know what to say. Her body was trembling with nervousness...now that ChilHyun knew about her feelings. "EunBi yah...I have a confession to make..." he said as he shoved his hands into his pockets. EunBi lifted her head and glanced over at him, not knowing what to expect. She noticed that they were heading towards the park. ChilHyun sighed before he spoke. "You know a few days ago, I was going to come to see you..." "Why didn't you?" EunBi asked immediately. "I did...but I saw you with JoonWoo...I thought he was your boyfriend...I felt kind of stupid so i just left..." he admitted. Eunbi set foot on the grassy part of the park and thought of the words she was hearing. "I admit it EunBi...I was jealous, I almost went insane...no, I did go insane...I was miserable when you turned me down when I asked you to be my girlfriend..." ChilHyun stopped in the middle of the grass and turned to EunBi who was staring at the ground. "I swear, I was going crazy over you...I mean, I finally found the perfect girl that I want to spend the rest of my life with...and I hated myself and everything else when I saw you with him...but now I feel stupid because I know who he is..." EunBi was beginning to cry again. "Oppa...I have something I want to tell you too..." she said as she smiled and finally looked up into ChilHyun's eyes. "Why are you crying?" he asked as he touched EunBi's eyelashes gently, and watched a tear roll down her cheek. "Oppa..." she whispered slowly...then she smiled. "This is really funny, oppa...because today...I wanted to go see you...so I went over to your house, but something stopped me...I saw you with Eugene getting out of your car...I saw her hug you, and you guys went onto the house together..." EunBi confessed as she laughed lightly. "I thought you had something going on between the two of you...so I turned and walked away crying..." ChilHyun smiled brightly. "No...Eugene's just a close friend...we've known each other for a long time now, being in the same music business and all...she came back from Guam today, so I had to pick her up from the airport..." EunBi smiled and nodded. She looked up and stared into ChilHyun's eyes as he smiled back beautifully. He grabbed her hand and began walking again. EunBi smiled to herself thinking about the huge misunderstanding between ChilHyun and Eugene and JoonWoo and herself. She looked down at her skimpy clothes and rubbed her arm with her free hand, wishing that she had brought her coat out with her. ChilHyun stopped walking and looked at EunBi. "Are you cold?" he asked worriedly, still holding onto her hand. "I'm sorry...this is the part when the guy is supposed to give the girl his jacket..." he said, smiling. "I don't have a jacket, so there's nothing I can do..." he said apologetically. He watched EunBi's face turn into a slight frown. Enjoying her reaction, he smiled widely and spoke. "But I can do this..." he said as he pulled EunBi into an embrace and wrapped his arms around her bare shoulders. EunBi smiled and buried her face into his chest, breathing in the scent of his cologne. She wrapped her own arms around his body. 'God, she smells good,' he thought to himself as he bent his head lower to smell EunBi's hair. "I love you..." he whispered into her ear. She felt so happy...she had waited her whole life to hear those words to come out of his mouth, and he had finally said them. She smiled and hugged ChilHyun tighter. "I love you too..." she whispered back. It felt so good being in his arms...she never wanted to let go. "I hate to let go, but since you're cold, we should head back to your house," ChilHyun suggested as he loosened his grip on EunBi's body...but she did not let go. ChilHyun smiled. "Come on...we could do this another time...somewhere not so public..." he said teasingly. EunBi giggled. "Wait...just a little longer..." she said, still holding on tightly. ~*~ GyooHee and JoonWoo lay on the couch together, just relaxing and enjoying their quiet time. "Oppa..." "Hmm?" he asked as he stroked her hair. "I'm really sorry about everything...I didn't mean to..." "It's okay...let's just put the past behind us and focus on what's in the future..." he said as he put his hand on GyooHee's stomach and smiled. "I can't believe I'm gonna be a father soon!" GyooHee giggled. "I know...we should get married before this baby starts to show..." "Let's set a wedding date..." JoonWoo suggested. GyooHee thought for a moment. "Umm...how about in April on our anniversary?" she asked excitedly. "Hey, that's a good idea...but that's two months away...can you wait that long?" "Mm-hmm...of course...I want this wedding to be BIG! It'll take a lot of time to organize things and stuff...I want it to be perfect...can we have a cheesecake as our wedding cake?" GyooHee said excitedly. JoonWoo laughed. "Sure...why not?" Just then, the door opened as ChilHyun and EunBi came in, laughing and smiling happily. GyooHee and JoonWoo both got up reluctantly to greet the couple. "Back so soon?" GyooHee asked. ChilHyun smiled and put his arm around EunBi. "She got cold so we came back..." EunBi smiled and looked at her sister. "Unnie, let's go change into some comfortable clothes..." GyooHee giggled. "Okay...but it's getting late...already past midnight...are you guys gonna go home?" JoonWoo and ChilHyun looked at each other and shrugged. "Maybe I could catch a late bus or taxi something..." JoonWoo said as he put his hands into his pockets. GyooHee snapped her fingers. "Oh yeah! You don't have your car today..." she said with a playful grin. "You can stay here if you'd like?" JoonWoo smiled. "Maybe..." "YES!!! Yes yes yes...stay!" GyooHee pleaded. JoonWoo just laughed at her remark. "You wanna stay too oppa?" EunBi asked shyly. ChilHyun looked at EunBi and smiled. "What is this? A naughty slumber party?" he said as he laughed jokingly. EunBi giggled. "Just stay until I fall asleep or something..." she said as she grabbed ChilHyun's hand. "Alright..." he said, giving in. Everyone went upstairs and parted their separate ways: ChilHyun followed EunBi into her room and JoonWoo followed GyooHee into hers. EunBi sighed when she got into her room as ChilHyun sat down on her bed. She was going to change her clothes but stopped when she felt ChilHyun's eyes on her. She turned around and found him smiling. "What are you looking at?" she asked with a big smile. "You..." "Well, are you just gonna sit there and watch me undress?" she asked. "I'd love to..." ChilHyun answered immediately. EunBi's cheeks flushed brightly pink. "Oppa..." she said, a little embarrassed. "Haha...okay okay..." he said as he sighed and put his hands over his eyes. EunBi smiled as she turned around and slipped on an oversized T-shirt over her head and wiggled out of her tight tube-top from underneath the shirt. She took off her skirt and bent over into her closet to dig for a pair of shorts. ChilHyun parted his fingers slightly to catch a glimpse of EunBi. He was nearly drooling when he saw her slender legs. He hadn't noticed that she had turned around after putting on her shorts and he was still peeking through his fingers. "Oppa! I caught you red-handed!" she accused playfully as she walked over to him. ChilHyun took his hands off of his face and looked up at EunBi, smiling innocently. "What are you talking about?" he asked. "I saw you, oppa...I knew you'd peek anyway..." she teased. "Oh yeah?" ChilHyun said as he grabbed EunBi's waist and flipped her onto her bed, tickling her to death. "Oppa!" EunBi gasped, out of breath from giggling and laughing. *AHEM* ChilHyun and EunBi stopped and looked towards the doorway to see GyooHee standing there, smiling. ChilHyun got up and EunBi did the same, both blushing slightly. "Hehe..sorry to interrupt...but mind if I borrow your girlfriend for a moment?" GyooHee asked. ChilHyun nodded. "I gotta go make a phone call to HeeJun hyung anyway...I'll be back in a few minutes..." he said and left the room. EunBi was still panting and trying to catch her breath. "Unnie..." "EunBi yah...I just wanted to say sorry to you...I realized tonight at the bar that I hurt you a lot...and now that I think about it...I was so immature, trying to compete with my younger sister over a guy...and I want to let you know that I'm happy for you...I just wanted to apologize for being so jealous and selfish...I mean, you know how bad I get when it comes to jealousy and selfishness..." GyooHee smiled with tears in her eyes. EunBi now had tears in her eyes too. "Thank you, unnie...you don't know how much this means to me..." she said with tears flowing down her face. She pulled her sister in for a hug. "Congratulations on the baby, unnie..." She was so glad that her sister had finally come to her senses to clear everything up. GyooHee smiled. "Thanks sis...I really hope that we can all be happy from now on..." ChilHyun entered the room as EunBi and GyooHee broke away from each other. "Congratulations, GyooHee..." he said, giving a bright smile. GyooHee wiped her tears and smiled back. "Thanks oppa..." After looking at her sister one more time, she got up. "Well, I'll leave you two alone now..." she said happily and went back to her room. ChilHyun closed the door and sighed. "Did you call HeeJun oppa?" EunBi asked as she made a spot for him on her bed. ChilHyun nodded and sat down next to EunBi. "He's too excited," he said as he leaned back on the bed. "About what?" "About everything...us, GyooHee and JoonWoo...and his fiance is coming back in a few days too..." ChilHyun said with a smile. EunBi's eyes widened. "Oh, I want to meet her..." she said excitedly. "HeeJun oppa promised me that he'd introduce me to her..." ChilHyun just laughed lightly as EunBi layed herself down and pulled him down with her. "You don't have to stay the whole night, oppa...just until I fall asleep..." she said as she leaned her head onto his shoulder. He just sighed and smiled. "What if I want to stay longer?" he asked with a childish pout. "Hehe..that works too..." EunBi said, giggling. ChilHyun pulled her in closer, wrapping his arms protectively around her. "You're so cute..." he said as he stroked her hair. Eunbi buried her head into his chest and snuggled closer to him and cried silently...for once in her life, she cried tears of happiness...and slowly drifted off to sleep... **I Wanna Love You Forever** You set my soul at ease...
