**Rif Prologue “I'm NEVER letting SaetByul go…  So you better just keep that in mind.”  ”I don’t care.  She’s already mine.” ”No!  She loves me… Don’t you understand that?  SaetByul loves only me!” ”Did she ever say that to your face?” ”No, but it doesn’t matter to me.  I see it in her eyes.” ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ “TaeSoo oppa!  Why are you here again?” TaeSoo smiled and said, “I came to see you, Erin!” ”Why? Oh, you want more free flowers?  All because I'm your sister, that doesn’t mean you could just take any flower you want for your girlfriend!” TaeSoo laughed and gave her his puppy face.  “Please Erin?  Just one more time… Please?” Erin sighed and rolled her eyes.  “How great is this girlfriend of yours?  So that you would actually get her flowers everyday?”  Erin got up from her seat next to the cash register and arranged a beautiful set of roses and lilies.  TaeSoo smiled and said, “I’m so grateful to have a sister like you!”  He took the bouquet and said, “Come home by 7 tonight.  I have a surprise for you!” Erin smiled and said, “Bye!  Say hi to your girlfriend for me!”  She continued with sitting as she thought about what the surprise could be. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ “TaeSoo shi… for me?” TaeSoo smiled and said, “Because you’re so special…” SaetByul smiled and said, “You get the most beautiful flowers every time…  They’re so nicely arranged too.” TaeSoo grinned and said, “My sister works at a flower shop.  She arranges it extra nice for me.” SaetByul gasped and said, “Really?  You probably get them for free right?” TaeSoo was stuck.  But he laughed it off and said, “Of course not!  I wouldn’t get free flowers for a very special person…  You know I'm not that kind of a person, SaetByul.” SaetByul smiled and said, “Of course not.  I was kidding with you.  Thank you for the flowers!” TaeSoo smiled and thought, ‘You’re just one step closer to winning her heart… Just ask her out… and she’ll say yes.  Then you could stop lying to Erin that you have a girlfriend.  And you could prove it to him that she loves you.’ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ “Oppa!  I'm home!  What’s the surprise?” Erin asked as she rushed through the door. TaeSoo smiled and said, “Sh!  He’s here!  Hurry up and go change… to something nicer than something that smells like flowers.” Erin frowned and asked, “What’s wrong with the smell of flowers?  And who’s here?” A voice asked, “TaeSoo yah… is she here yet?” Erin stared blankly at TaeSoo and he smiled uneasily.  “Just a second!  She has to wash up.  Stay in there!” TaeSoo pushed Erin up the stairs and said, “Change! And try to look nice.” Erin frowned as she went into her room and opened her closet.  There was nothing nice except baggy jeans and baggy shirts.  She sighed as she pulled out her light blue t-shirt.  She slipped into a pair of jeans that were not THAT baggy and went downstairs. She peeked in the kitchen and asked, “Oppa?” TaeSoo and someone talking to him looked up.  TaeSoo smiled and said, “Erin!  Erin, sit down.” Erin sat down and said, “What are you doing?  Why are you being so nice?  Are you trying to get me to make dinner again?  I did it this past week!  Where’s mom and dad?” TaeSoo smiled and said, “I sent them off somewhere.  So I could set up a dinner for YOU two…” Erin looked at the other guy and asked, “Who is he?” The guy smiled as he looked at Erin.  “Hi, I'm TaeWan.  Nice to meet you.” Erin smiled uneasily and said, “Nice to meet you.  I'm Erin.”  She glared at TaeSoo.  What was he doing? Chapter One Erin and TaeWan sat uncomfortably, eating the burnt steak that TaeSoo had prepared for them.  Erin frowned and yelled, “Oppa!  Come down here!  Look at how burnt the steak is!” TaeSoo laughed and said, “I told you!  I don’t come down, and you don’t come up.  Until 9!” Erin sighed and sagged in her chair.  What was she going to do with a guy that she didn’t even know for two hours?! She sighed and said, “Look.  I don’t know you, and you don’t know me.  We just know my brother.  So could we just go our separate ways… Like you eat something, and I’ll eat something.  And we could meet back at 8:30… pretending that we ate together okay?” TaeWan looked at Erin and said, “You don’t like being with me?” Erin said, “No… it’s not that.  I'm more comfortable around guys… when I could ACT like a one…  Well bye!” She ran out the door and she could hear TaeSoo coming down the stairs.  She smiled as she heard him say, “Did she leave?” She slowly walked over to the library.  She was hungry… but it could wait. She went in and smiled.  Books were a wonder to her.  She went into the flower section.  If she wanted to be a florist, she had to learn more about flowers…   She sat down at a nearby table with only one girl in it and started reading. She was reading peacefully when someone peeked their head over the book and asked, “You like flowers?” Erin nodded uneasily and said, “Yeah…  I want to be a florist.” The girl nodded and said, “I see… Hi, I'm SaetByul.  Nice to meet you.” Erin smiled and said, “I'm Erin.  Nice to meet you too.” The girl laughed and said, “Sorry if I bothered you.  Do you like to read?” Erin nodded and said, “You aren’t bothering me.  I love reading.” SaetByul laughed and said, “Me too!  I read whenever I can.  But that’s not a lot of time… especially when you’re looking for a job at the same time.  To suit your needs.” Erin looked at her and asked, “What are you interested in?” ”Drawing.  I love shapes.” Erin nodded and said, “Oh!  I have a cousin that works at a place called Forever Art.  He’s just the secretary… Yea, a guy being a secretary… isn’t that kind of funny?  But he’s good at it.  Should I introduce him to you?” SaetByul smiled and said, “Do you really think you could do that?  I don’t even know you and… I mean… I feel so bad.” Erin laughed and said, “No, it’s no trouble at all.  Listen… do you want to eat something?  Did you eat dinner yet?” SaetByul shook her head and said, “No… Let’s go eat.” Erin nodded and said, “Where do you want to go?  We could split too…” ”Let’s go to…  the burger shop down the street.  My brother works there.  So we probably won’t have to split at all…”  SaetByul winked at her. Erin nodded and said, “Let’s go!”   SaetByul picked up her backpack and said, “Wait.  I kind of have a lot of things to hold.  Could you help me out?” Erin nodded and said, “Sure.”  SaetByul handed Erin her backpack and picked up a bouquet of flowers from the floor.  Erin smiled at her and her eyes stopped on the flowers.  They looked awfully familiar.  She stared at the flowers and cocked her head.  She gasped and looked up at SaetByul.  She asked, “Where did you get those flowers?” SaetByul said, “Oh these?  A guy that I know gave them to me.  Kim TaeSoo… do you know him?  He’s a very sweet guy.” Erin chuckled and said, “Hell yeah, I know him.” SaetByul said, “Really? How?” Erin stared at her and said, “He’s my brother.” Chapter Two SaetByul and Erin laughed as they finished off their French fries.  “I knew that he got those flowers for free.  Who would pay their sister?” Erin laughed and said, “He actually TOLD you that he paid for them?  Nuh uh!  Never…” They both laughed as they walked to the cashier.  SaetByul cocked her head and said, “Um… Is SeungJun here?” The cashier nodded and said, “Why do you want him?” “Could you just call him for me, please?” SeungJun peeked in and said, “Hey, SaetByul!  What’s up?” SaetByul put on her puppy face and said, “Oppa…  This is a new friend I met at the library.  Her name’s Erin.  Could you please take it off your paycheck?  Or pay for us?” SeungJun laughed and said, “Hi Erin.  I’m SeungJun.  Fine, I’ll be nice and pay for you guys.  Since I'm getting a big bonus this month anyway.”  He smiled at her and said, “Bye.  Nice to meet you, Erin.  Keep her clean okay?” Erin laughed and nodded.  As they were walking out, Erin said, “Your brother is really nice.” SaetByul shook her head and said, “I don’t think so… Isn’t TaeSoo shi nice to you?” ”TaeSoo shi?” ”Well… that’s what I call him.  But he calls me SaetByul though.” ”Wait… don’t you call him oppa?” ”What for?” ”Aren’t you his girlfriend?” SaetByul stared at Erin and asked, “His girlfriend?  Erin realized that TaeSoo had been lying to her all this time.  But she didn’t want TaeSoo oppa to be embarrassed.  She quickly covered her mistake.  “No… I meant… one of his girlfriends, you know?  I called all my guy friends oppa…”  She lied.  ‘Uh oh… but saving her brother was more important.’ SaetByul said, “Oh!  I thought you meant…  Well, I don’t really like calling people oppa.  And plus, he’s four years older than me…” ”Really?  You’re my unnie then.  Because he’s five years older than me.  Listen… you want to come over?” SaetByul smiled and said, “No… it’s okay.  I have to get home.  Here’s my phone number… Call me okay?” Erin nodded and said, “Bye unnie!”  SaetByul said, “Bye Erin!  Tell TaeSoo shi I said hi!” Erin giggled and nodded.  It sounded so funny to hear someone call her brother TaeSoo shi.  She sighed and looked at her watch.  It was 10!  Time had flown by with SaetByul.  She went into her house and peeked her head in.  It was quiet.  She headed towards the stairs when something jumped at her and yelled, “Eh~~~  Rih~~~~ In~~~~” Erin screamed and started to laugh at the same time.  “BoSuk oppa!  You silly guy!” BoSuk laughed and said, “So… where has my little cousin been all this time?  I was waiting for you.  And that TaeWan dude… Man, who is that little jerk?” Erin frowned and said, “TaeSoo oppa was going to introduce me to him.  But it didn’t work out.  Why, what happened?” BoSuk smiled and said, “Nothing.  I just don’t like him.  What were you doing?” Erin smiled and yelled… so her brother could hear.  “I MET SAET BYUL UNNIE!”  All of the sudden, TaeSoo came running down the stairs and he asked, “YOU MET WHO?” Chapter Three Erin pretended to act surprised and asked, “You know SaetByul unnie?  Really? Wow, oppa.  How do you know her?” TaeSoo said, “You better shut up, Erin.  Where did you meet her?  How do you know her?” Erin shrugged and said, “Molla.  I don’t know her.”  It was fun to tease her brother. But TaeSoo started to chase Erin around the house.  “Where did you meet her?  What did you say to her?” Erin screamed and ran around the house once.  Then she hid behind BoSuk.  BoSuk grabbed TaeSoo’s arms, which were stretched out to try to grab Erin’s hair.  BoSuk said, “Dude… chill.  Let’s listen to her story… in the living room, eating something okay?  Dude, TaeSoo… you’re so violent.” TaeSoo snorted and said, “Gosh Erin… you are SO lucky to have a hyung like him.” BoSuk smiled and said, “Of course…  Anyone who knows me is lucky.  I'm sweet, nice, giving…” Erin rolled her eyes and murmured, “There he goes with the bragging once again.” BoSuk turned and stared at her.  “What did you say, miss?” Erin laughed and said, “Nothing.”  BoSuk shook his finger in front of Erin’s face and said, “It’s not nice to make fun of your oppa like that…” Erin said, “Sorry!”  But it was too late.  BoSuk was already chasing Erin around the house.  TaeSoo stared at them, but it wasn’t before long that he was helping BoSuk to chase Erin.  Erin yelled, “It’s not fair!  Two against one isn’t fair!” They finally caught her and tickled her sides.  Erin screamed and kicked, but they kept on tickling. BoSuk laughed and said, “Let’s stop now…  I think she’s dead…” They both peered closely at Erin’s face, which wasn’t moving.  Suddenly, she screamed into their faces and they both jumped backward.  All three of them fell, laughing.  Suddenly, TaeSoo jumped up.  Erin and BoSuk both looked at him.  He said, “What did you say to SaetByul, anyway?” Erin laughed and said, “Don’t worry.  I didn’t blow the cover that you were lying to me about her being your girlfriend… “ TaeSoo glared at her and Erin laughed.  “Where did you meet her?” ”Library…  Running away from… er… TaeWan, was it?” TaeSoo put on his I'm-the-big-brother-and-the-boss look and said, “By the way… you’re meeting TaeWan again.  He’s a very nice guy.  Trust me, you’ll be thanking me.” Erin frowned and shrugged.  She never got anything her way, anyway.  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *Two weeks later* “SeungJun oppa?” ”Hey, Erin!” ”Do you think I can eat here?  Don’t worry… I won’t ask for you to pay.  But how about a discount?” SeungJun laughed and said, “Sure!  Anything for my dongseng’s friend.” Erin smiled and said, “Thanks!” She quietly sat in a corner tale and thought about all that had happened in two weeks.  BoSuk oppa had moved in to live with them for five months.  TaeSoo oppa still got free flowers from her for SaetByul unnie.  But SaetByul knew he got them for free.  She had kept in touch with SaetByul unnie and introduced her to BoSuk oppa.  She had gotten a job as a color maker.  Whenever artists needed a color, they would tell her, and she would mix the color. She got up to pay SeungJun and said, “How much is it, oppa?” SeungJun smiled and said, “No, it’s on me.  Okay?  Pretend I'm buying you lunch… I just didn’t eat with you.” Erin, being stubborn, shook her head.  “No…  I'm going to pay for my lunch, oppa.  How much is it? Or else I'm just dropping 10 dollars and running away.” ”No… it’s on me.  Come on, Erin… it’s on me, okay?” ”No… I'm going to pay for myself.” ”I will…” SeungJun opened his eyes widely and said, “Please?” Erin shook her head and someone dropped a ten-dollar bill right in front of her.  “I’ll settle this.  I’ll pay for it.” SeungJun smiled and said, “Hey… You know Erin?” Erin turned to see who he was.  She groaned.  TaeWan… Chapter Four “What are YOU doing here?” SeungJun laughed and said, “Okay.  I’ll take TaeWan’s…” TaeWan laughed and said, “So you can’t take money from a girl? But you can take money from your friend?” SeungJun laughed and said, “Well… that’s different.  Here… Your change.” ”Keep it, you filthy animal.” SeungJun laughed and TaeWan smiled at Erin.  “You want to go out for ice cream?” Erin frowned at him and asked, “I don’t even know you.  Why are you so nice to me?” “Well… you ran away from me… And I came to catch you.”  TaeWan smiled and Erin kept on frowning.  TaeWan’s smile disappeared and he said, “Come on… just watch me eat ice cream then.” Erin said, “No… I have to go.” TaeWan grabbed her arm and looked her in the eye.  “You don’t even know me.  Why do you hate me so much? Please… just ice cream.” Erin looked at him and nodded.  “Okay… just ice cream.” ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ JaeHee sighed.  “No, TaeSoo… SaetByul really loves me.  Don’t you know that?  Those flowers you send her every day won’t make her heart go to you.  Because her heart is already with mine.” ”You sicken me, JaeHee.  SaetByul knows me…  She doesn’t even know who you are.” ”You wanna bet?  I’ve bumped into her a couple times.  She’ll notice me if I see her.” ”Really? Then why don’t you ask her out? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ “I’ll have cookies and cream, please,” Erin ordered. ”I’ll have mint chocolate chip.”  Erin stared at TaeWan and said, “Why do you like mint chocolate chip?” ”I'm one weird guy, aren’t I?” TaeWan smiled at her and Erin blushed and looked away. They took their ice creams and sat down.  Erin sighed and started to scoop her ice cream with the spoon.  TaeWan started to eat it with his mouth.  Erin grimaced and said, “That’s sick.  So unclean.” TaeWan smiled and said, “I'm a weird guy.  What do you expect?” Erin smiled and said, “Yes… You ARE a weird guy… You know, when I first saw you, I expected you to be very…” ”Very what?  Very weird?” Erin grinned and said, “No… you ARE weird… I expected you to be very… conceited.” ”Conceited? Why?” ”I don’t know… you just look like that type.” Just then, someone came in the door.  Erin waved and said, “SaetByul unnie!  Hi!” SaetByul walked over to them and said, “Hey, Erin!  Who’s this?  Boyfriend?” Erin shook her head and said, “No,” while at the same time, TaeWan grinned and said, “Yea.” Erin glared at TaeWan and SaetByul laughed.  “I’ll just assume that he’s trying to ask you out.  I'm SaetByul.  You?” TaeWan smiled and said, “I'm TaeWan.  Erin’s boyfriend.” Erin shook her head as she looked up at SaetByul and SaetByul laughed.  “You would make a good couple though…” Erin stood up and shouted, “Unnie!”  SaetByul laughed and ordered a cappuccino.  She sat down next to them and said, “What?” TaeWan smiled and looked at Erin and said, “See?  I told you we’d make a good couple.” Erin put down her ice cream and asked, “What kind of guy are you?  First, you pay for my lunch… and SaetByul unnie, this guy knows your brother.” TaeWan said, “OH! That’s where I’ve seen you before.  You looked awfully familiar… Your eyes are exactly alike.” Erin said, “Hello!  This is NOT the point here…  The point is that you are very weird.  And I don’t like weird people.  Goodbye.” Erin left the ice cream shop and SaetByul shrugged and said, “Hey, don’t look at me.  I’ve only known her for two weeks.” ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Erin stomped into the house and saw her brother fighting with someone.  “Oppa!  That stupid TaeWan guy came up to me again.  And he paid for my… er… I’m sorry.  I didn’t know you had company.  I’ll talk to you later.” TaeSoo turned and said, “Erin ah!  Wait… You know SaetByul right?” ”Of course I know SaetByul!  Remember that conversation we had about her?” TaeSoo looked at JaeHee and said, “And what did we say about her?” Erin frowned and said, “That… you’ll make a good boyfriend to her… And I told you to take good care of her…” TaeSoo lifted his chin and said, “See, JaeHee!” Erin frowned and said, “Hey! I had a friend named JaeHee once.”  She looked down at someone on the couch and gasped.  “JaeHee?” JaeHee squinted his eyes and asked, “Do I know you?” Erin laughed and said, “JaeHee yah!  It’s me!  Erin… your English buddy, remember?” JaeHee’s eyes widen and said, “Erin?  Really?” Erin laughed and hugged him and said, “I’ve missed you.”  TaeSoo looked at them talking and realized that this was an advantage for him.  Erin could help him get JaeHee out of the way…  so HE could be with SaetByul… the girl he liked… Chapter Five TaeSoo smiled and JaeHee laughed.  “Dude, TaeSoo… Who would have thought that this sweet little girl would have been a sister of a clumsy little brat?” Erin frowned and said, “Hey!  Don’t call my brother that!  He’s a sweet guy.” JaeHee snickered and looked at TaeSoo.  “Then is THAT what SaetByul fell for?  His sweetness?” Erin laughed and said, “OH!  I get it… It’s a fight over a girl!  Wow… who would have thought…” She saw TaeSoo and JaeHee look at each other as if they were going to kill each other.  She murmured, “Er… I'm going to go up in my room.  Visit some time, JaeHee!” She went up, closing the door behind her.  She took a deep breath.  She ran to her phone and called SaetByul unnie…  but she decided against it.  They needed to figure things out by themselves… they didn’t need inexperienced, annoying Erin, did they?  Now… to figure out that TaeWan guy… ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SaetByul laughed as she walked with JaeHee.  “You know… who would have thought that I would have actually liked you…” JaeHee looked shocked and said, “What?  You didn’t like me?” SaetByul answered, “It’s not that… It’s just that you’re not my type…  But I like you.  You’re fun to be with.” JaeHee smiled and said, “Well… then goodnight.” SaetByul smiled at him and said, “Good night, JaeHee shi.  Sweet dreams.” JaeHee bowed to her and SaetByul laughed.  As he watched SaetByul go into her house, he silently cheered for himself.  This was a miracle.  He had asked her on a date right after he came out of TaeSoo’s house.  They had gone for dinner and he had had a great time. He silently laughed and said, “TaeSoo… You are SO dead.” ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SeungJun sighed and said, “SaetByul ah… Where have you been all day?” ”I was with friends.  Why?” ”This guy named BoSuk has been calling you all day.  Who’s BoSuk?  Is he your new lover?” SaetByul laughed and shook her head.  “He’s the guy that introduced me to Forever Art… remember?  Erin’s cousin…” ”Oh!!  Why is he calling you for?  Don’t tell me…” SaetByul shook her head and said, “No… Oppa… you’re so silly.  I’ll call him right now.” ”Hello?” ”Hello?  BoSuk?  This is SaetByul… Did you call?” ”Oh… yea… well, there’s this art contest coming up…  It’s a cartoon one.  Do you think you would be interested?  I mean… if you are, I’ll give you details later.” ”Sure!  It would be fun…  Is there…” ”Yeah… there’s a prize.  But I'm not sure what it is though.  But I’ll ask… So you’re interested?” ”Yeah!” ”That’s great!  Then… bye!” ”Bye!” ”What was that about?” SeungJun asked. ”An art contest… a cartoon one.  I have to get people to pose for me!” ”Erm… how about… Hey!  My friend, TaeWan and Erin seemed to like each other.” ”You saw them too?  I saw them too… Wow, they really MUST like each other.  But…”  SaetByul told SeungJun about her story and SeungJun told SaetByul his. They both laughed and SaetByul said, “Wow… TaeWan must be desperate huh?  But it seems like Erin doesn’t like him.  But… I’ll ask them to pose anyway.  No one else… Unless YOU like someone oppa…” ”Haha no… ask Erin and TaeWan.” Chapter Six “NO!  Absolutely no way… that I'm going to pose for you with that filthy… weird guy! No way, unnie.  I mean… you ARE my unnie and all… but NO NO NO NO!” SaetByul sighed and said, “Erin… please?  You have to let me win this.  BoSuk said the prize was a trip for five to Hawaii.  Please?  You and TaeWan could go.” TaeWan, who had been quiet the whole time stood up and said, “Okay, SaetByul.  We accept your offer.” ”What!  Who’s WE?  You and your girlfriend, I hope.  Because I am NOT even sitting next to you!” ”Erin…  Sometimes, this world can’t give you what YOU want…” TaeWan said, winking at her. Erin boiled with anger and said, “Fine!  I’ll pose with him.  But just make sure that if you win, KEEP HIM AWAY FROM ME!” SaetByul laughed and hugged Erin.  “Thanks, Erin.  It won’t be that bad.  I'm just going to draw quick sketches of you… in cartoon style.  Don’t worry… I’ll be between you all the time in Hawaii.” ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *Three days later* ”YOU SAID IT WON’T BE BAD, UNNIE!” SaetByul laughed and TaeWan groaned.  “Will you just shut up and stay still?” Erin stared at TaeWan and said, “Well… Maybe YOU like this because of the thought of Hawaii, but I don’t like it one bit.  I HATE HAWAII!  Understand?  And I also hate being in the same room as you!  Go to Hawaii by yourself and don’t come back!”  With that, she stormed out of her room. SaetByul sighed and stared at TaeWan.  She whispered, “Maybe you should go talk to her…  I can’t do anything about it.” TaeWan sighed and walked to find Erin.  He found her on the couch, with her hands wrapped around her knees.  She was staring at the wall… looking as though if she was ready to kill it. TaeWan sat down next to her and sighed.  “Beautiful wall, isn’t it?” Erin stared at him and looked away, not realizing how he could make a joke at this time.  She quietly said, “Sorry for blowing up back there.  I just kinda… I was tired from yesterday.” ”What’d you do yesterday?” ”I stayed up until 3 A.M.  I just couldn’t go to sleep.” ”Were you thinking of me?” Erin stared at TaeWan, who was grinning.  She said, “You know… how could you be so… cheerful all the time?  You don’t LIKE posing for SaetByul unnie, do you?” TaeWan shrugged and whispered, “With you, I do…” ”What is that supposed to mean?” TaeWan looked at Erin and said, “Ever since that night… you ran away from me…  I was looking at your back and I realized I had fallen in love.  And nothing helped me get out of it.  I went into night clubs… I drank to get my mind off you.  I just can’t.” Erin stared at TaeWan blankly.  “You… wait… what are you trying to tell me?” ”I like you, Erin.  And all this time, I’ve been trying to get you to like me.  But… you don’t…” ”…” ”Can’t you like me?  Even for a day?  So I know how it feels like to love someone… and to be loved back?” Erin had not expected this out of all things that were possible.  TaeWan… liking her?  No…  this was a dream.  She was dreaming.  She pinched herself.  It hurt. Erin blankly nodded.  “For a day…  Today… Just pretend.” TaeWan grinned and said, “Thanks, Erin.  You don’t know… how much this means to me.” Erin glared at him and said, “Sure… it’s probably all an act to get me to pose with you.” She ran up the stairs into SaetByul’s room and mumbled, “I’ll pose for you.  Don’t make it too bad.” SaetByul grinned and said, “Okay.  TaeWan, come here.  Sit down… hm… get closer.  Erin… you promised!  A little closer… okay!  That’s it.  Stay like that… don’t move!” She got her sketchbook and a pencil.  Her arms started moving around the paper.  Erin tried to smile, but it was so uncomfortable… Especially the thought of… No!  Impossible! After an aching ten minutes, SaetByul stood up.  “Great!  Thanks guys… couldn’t have done it without you.” Erin stretched and put her arms behind her back.  TaeWan held them there and Erin turned, surprised.  He smiled and said, “You promised, remember?” Erin pulled her arms away and mumbled something to herself.  SaetByul stared at her and asked, “Promised what?” Erin shook her head and said, “Nothing.”  SaetByul laughed and said, “Let me guess… He confessed that he liked you.  And he made you promise to even pretend to like him for today.” ”How did you know?”  Erin stared at her with her mouth opened widely.  SaetByul laughed and said, “There’s a thing called… eavesdropping.”  She winked at Erin and Erin glared at her back, only to make the glare turn into a grin and she followed her downstairs. Chapter Seven TaeWan stood outside, hands in his pockets.  “Hm… where would you want to go?” Erin glared at him and said, “I am not going anywhere…” ”Sh!  You promised… the people that I hate the most are the ones that back out of their promises.” Erin turned one corner of her mouth up and said, “Then… I just guess you have to hate me, don’t you?”  She turned to leave as TaeWan grabbed her arm.  “Why do you hate me so much?”  Erin looked into his eyes and her mouth wouldn’t open.  TaeWan released her and asked, “Why can’t you just pretend… act… that you like me… even just a tiny bit?  For today… and tomorrow, you could pretend that I'm a fly.  I promise.” Erin sighed and shrugged. “I guess it won’t be that bad.” TaeWan laughed and grinned at her.  “I promise… It’ll be a day you’ll never forget.” ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Erin was speechless.  She had been dragged by TaeWan in his car to follow him.  She was reluctant… but she had promised.  The boat… it was huge… massive…  But the lights made it seem so small.  It made it seem like a little lamp… with people swarming all over it.  She said, “That’s… beautiful.” TaeWan smiled and said, “I'm glad you like it.  Let’s go.” Erin turned to face TaeWan and asked, “Go where?”  TaeWan smiled and said, “Uh… on the boat…” Erin looked confused and asked, “Why?” ”Because… that’s where I'm taking you…?” Erin gasped and said, “We’re… going on that boat?” TaeWan nodded and laughed.  TaeWan took Erin’s arm and she stared at him.  He raised his eyebrows and said, “Hey, a promise is a promise.” Erin laughed and slipped her arm into his.  This… was going to be… not that bad, after all. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Erin patted TaeWan’s back and asked, “Are you okay?” TaeWan slightly nodded and stuck his head back out of the boat again.  Erin laughed and said, “You know… when you showed me this boat, I thought you knew how to ride a boat.” ”Who said I didn’t?  I just… get seasick easily, that’s all.”  He made gagging noises as Erin laughed and patted his back some more.  Someone smiled and said, “First time riding?  You’ll get used to it.” Erin laughed and smiled.  She turned back to TaeWan, who was turning red.  She frowned and asked, “TaeWan?  Are you okay?  TaeWan, what’s wrong?” Erin gasped when she saw that he couldn’t speak.  She looked frantically for help, but no one was there.  She ran to get someone, when TaeWan took her hand.  She quickly turned to him and he smiled and said, “I'm a good actor, aren’t I?” Erin opened her mouth, but nothing came out.  She should have been mad, but she wasn’t.  She chuckled and asked, “Then… this was all a big joke?” TaeWan nodded and looked proud of himself.  Erin said, “Why?” TaeWan said, “I wanted to see if you cared.” ”Of course I care…” TaeWan smiled and asked, “Really?” Erin blushed and shook her head.  “I'm pretending… just for today.  Remember?”  TaeWan grinned and said, “Oh yeah… sure… pretending.  You act pretty well too.”  He winked at her, leaving Erin on the deck, stunned and speechless ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SaetByul turned in her drawing and the person took it and said, “Wow… you’re very lucky.  Only 20 drawings were accepted.  And yours was the last one!” SaetByul smiled and said, “Thank you.” ”Good luck!  You know what?  Since there were such little drawings that were in this contest, I think the president will decide the winner now.  Will you like to wait?  I mean… I'm not supposed to be saying this, but this is awfully good.” SaetByul smiled and said, “Thanks.”  She sat down and got herself a cup of coffee.  BoSuk came, whistling down the hall.  He said, “Hello, Mrs. Chun!”  The girl at the front desk smiled and said, “Hello, Mr. Kim.” BoSuk spotted SaetByul and said, “Hi, SaetByul.” SaetByul looked up and smiled.  “Hi.  I'm waiting for results.  They said it wouldn’t take long.” ”For the contest?” SaetByul nodded and BoSuk sat down next to her.  “Would you want me to wait with you?  And you could come by my… well, Erin’s house later.  You could see Erin and TaeSoo.” SaetByul nodded and said, “Sure.  Thanks.”  They sat there, uncomfortable, for ten minutes when the girl at the front desk came out.  “Lee SaetByul shi?” SaetByul stood up and said, “Yes, that’s me.” ”Congratulations!  You won!” SaetByul clapped her hands and said, “Really? Oh, thank you!” The president came out of his office and SaetByul and BoSuk bowed.  SaetByul said, “Thank you.” ”You do know what the prize is…  Five tickets to Hawaii.  And that will probably be the longest vacation you get while you’re working here.  You have showed us a lot of talent.  You will be working under Kim BoSuk, which I see, you are already acquainted with.  Kim BoSuk will be going to Hawaii with you, and if you like you may draw some scenery instead of spending the whole time in laziness.  Agreed?” SaetByul nodded and said, “When are the dates…?” ”The flight is scheduled for tomorrow.  The tickets are here.  Will you be able to go?” SaetByul looked surprised, but said, “Yes, I will try to make it.  Four people of my choice can go with me, right?” The president nodded and handed her the tickets.  “Have a great time.” SaetByul turned to BoSuk and he asked, “Who are you inviting?” ”Well… TaeWan and Erin for sure.  Then… my brother… and maybe TaeSoo shi.” BoSuk frowned and said, “TaeWan?  Kim TaeWan?  Um… the one…” ”That likes Erin!  It’s pretty fun if you’re around them.” BoSuk frowned and said, “Oh… him.  Yeah… he should come.” SaetByul didn’t notice the uneasiness in BoSuk’s voice.  She laughed and said, “This is going to be so fun!” Chapter Eight “Where do you get all the money for this?  If you don’t mind me asking…” Erin asked TaeWan. TaeWan grinned and winked.  “I have connections.” Erin squirmed in her chair and uneasily smiled.  ‘So… he’s just paying for me with connections…  What a nice guy.’ They were at a fancy restaurant at the seashore and Erin had been speechless when she first saw it.  A light blue, reflected in the windows…  The lights, blinding her, but showing her more…  It was so beautiful.  Connections or not… she liked it. ”How did you find out a place like this?” ”My dad… he used to take me fishing when I was little.  He said there were the best catches right at this spot.” ”Wow… your dad must be very fun to be with.” TaeWan looked down at his hands and said, “Yeah… well, he passed away from cancer two years ago.  It’s just me and my mom.” ”Oh… I'm sorry.” There was a moment of uneasy silence.  Then, TaeWan said, “Well… we better be getting home.  It’s late.” Erin smiled and said, “So… this is where we go our separate ways?” TaeWan grinned and asked, “Unless… you want to do more…” Erin grinned back and said, “You know… how about just you walk me home?  And you could come in for a drink or something…” TaeWan nodded and said, “Okay.” ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ “TaeSoo yah!” TaeSoo came out, apparently right out from the shower.  His hair was still wet, and the towel was wrapped around the bottom of his body.  He gasped when he saw SaetByul and ran back in the bathroom.  SaetByul laughed and BoSuk murmured, “That silly guy…” Just then, the door opened to reveal a laughing Erin and grinning TaeWan.  SaetByul smiled and said, “Guess what guys?  I won!  We’re going to Hawaii tomorrow!” Erin smiled and hugged SaetByul.  “Really?  I'm so happy for you!” TaeWan walked behind Erin and asked, “Do you still want to be kept away from me?” Erin smiled up at him and shrugged.  “I guess you’re not that bad… But still… don’t try to do anything weird!” BoSuk cleared his throat and said, “Erin… you better pack for tomorrow then.  And of course, TaeWan won’t do anything.  I’ll be right there, watching him.”  He snorted at TaeWan and Erin jumped onto his lap.  “Okay then, oppa!  I’ll get to pack.  SaetByul unnie, wanna help?” SaetByul stood up and said, “Sure!” They passed the bathroom on the way to Erin’s room and Erin yelled, “Oppa!  I'm home!  And if you’re in the shower, close the door because SaetByul unnie’s with me!” Then, a door slammed out of nowhere and SaetByul and Erin laughed. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ TaeWan and BoSuk sat on the couch in silence.  TaeWan cleared his throat and said, “So…” BoSuk stared at him and said, “So…” There was silence once again.  Suddenly, TaeSoo came out and said, “Hey… why is it so quiet?” When BoSuk and TaeWan both cleared their throats, TaeSoo frowned.  “You guys… don’t… hate each other, do you?” BoSuk shook his head and said, “Oh no… why would I hate TaeWan?  I have no reason to hate TaeWan…” TaeWan smiled and said, “Of course not.  I like BoSuk very much.  Very nice person.” They smiled at each other uneasily and TaeSoo looked from TaeWan and BoSuk.  He shrugged and asked, “Where’s SaetByul?” BoSuk said, “Upstairs.” TaeSoo smiled and stroked his chin.  “Hm… I wonder… if they’re talking about me…” ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ “My brother?  Why do you want my brother to come?  No!  I was looking forward to this so my brother wouldn’t come…” ”Well… he’s a very sweet guy.” ”Hm… who else are you inviting?” ”So, it’s you, TaeWan, TaeSoo shi, and SeungJun oppa. That’s it.” Erin frowned. She knew that JaeHee would be heart-broken.  Even though he was her brother’s rival for SaetByul, he was still her friend.  She said, “How about JaeHee?” ”How do you know JaeHee shi?” ”Erm… he’s an old friend.  Why not him?  Instead of my brother?” SaetByul smiled and said, “I don’t know…”  She leaned forward and whispered, “Don’t tell…  But I really don’t like JaeHee much.  He’s kind of… I don’t know.  Something about him bugs me.” Erin’s face fell.  “Oh…  Well… then… I guess TaeSoo oppa has to come.” SaetByul smiled and said, “I'm going to go to the bathroom.” Erin nodded and when she went out, she ran to her phone.  “Okay… JaeHee…  Yoon JaeHee.  Ah!”  She dialed his numbers and when he picked up, she said, “JaeHee?  Nah yah… Erin.  Hi.  Yeah, yeah… enough with the greetings.  Okay… I know that you like SaetByul unnie.  And so does my brother.  You’re my friend… and he’s my brother.  But I still want to give you guys both a fair chance.  Let me just tell you.  Try to make it to Hawaii tomorrow.  I'm serious…” She went on to tell him the hotel name, the time that they would “accidentally” meet.  She said, “I'm doing this for you… I want you to have a chance.  So come, okay?” ”Okay!  Thanks, Erin.  I seriously would have lost SaetByul’s heart if it wasn’t for you.” Erin said, “Bye!  Come…”  She hung up, and looked at her wall.  Who would have thought…  that she would be actually helping TaeSoo by doing this… not JaeHee. Chapter Nine “Is everyone here?” SeungJun laughed and said, “If someone was missing, they wouldn’t say, ‘I'm not here!’  Self check then. SaetByul, Erin, TaeWan, TaeSoo, and me.  That’s it, right?  And BoSuk has his own ticket…” SaetByul nodded and said, “Yeah!  Let’s go!” SeungJun led the group and walked inside the airport.  SaetByul and TaeSoo were laughing as they hauled their heavy luggage to the big building.  Erin, who was having a little trouble carrying her bag, was grunting.  She whispered, “Gosh… all the drinks and chips… in my bag!” TaeWan grinned and said, “Here… let me help…” ”That was only for one day… And the day’s over!” Erin snapped back.  TaeWan looked hurt and Erin was guilty.  He was so nice to her… Why was she so mean?  She sighed.  “I'm sorry… I didn’t mean to…” TaeWan said, “No… it’s fine.  Carry your own luggage.”  He walked off to join SeungJun.  Erin watched him leave with her heart sagging.  She had lost… what might have been her only chance.  But she shouldn’t be worrying about him… Where was JaeHee… ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ “They’re here some where…” JaeHee murmured to himself.  “Erin is a good friend… I could trust her… But where are they?!” He finally found them in front of the gate, eating some chips and laughing.  Only Erin seemed lonely.  He shrugged and looked for SaetByul… But his eyes went to… TaeSoo?  Oh god, now, he’s feeding her chips!  He rolled his eyes and tried to look casual. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Erin looked around.  TaeWan was talking with SeungJun…  TaeSoo oppa was talking to SaetByul.  Ugh, feeding her chips.  She looked towards the coffee shop.  She was going to get up when she saw something move in the bushes in front of the shop.  She squinted her eyes and made out… JaeHee!  She made a quick wave and saw a hand stick out and wave back at her.  She smiled.  JaeHee… you’re just in time…  To get SaetByul unnie away from TaeSoo oppa… Her thoughts were broken by a, “Eh~~ Rih~~ In~~” from behind her.  She turned, groaning.  “Stop that, BoSuk oppa!  Say, ‘Tae~~ Soo~~  It’s always MY name!” BoSuk pinched her cheeks and motioned to a girl waiting in the back.  “Everyone… say hi to my personal assistant.  Her name is Teri.  Teri, this is Erin, my cousin.  TaeSoo, her brother.  SaetByul, my student.  And SeungJun, her brother.” Teri shook hands with everyone and said their hello’s.  But she noticed TaeWan.  “Uh… BoSuk?  Who’s that?” BoSuk looked TaeWan’s way and shrugged.  SaetByul chuckled uneasily and said, “He must have not seen him.  That’s TaeWan… he helped me win the contest by posing for me with Erin.” Teri smiled and said, “Oh!  I see… are Erin and TaeWan in a fight?  They don’t seem to be getting along as couples.” SaetByul laughed and said, “They’re not couples… TaeWan wants to be, but Erin doesn’t.  It’s really funny.” Teri laughed and said, “I’d like to see that.” TaeSoo asked, “Are you going to Hawaii with us?” Teri nodded and said, “As BoSuk’s personal assistant, I keep track of everything he does… that relates with business only of course…”  BoSuk winked at her and interrupted her speech.  “Actually… okay guys, you’ve got me.  She’s my girlfriend AND my personal assistant.” The group went into chaos.  Erin said, “How come you never told me you had a girlfriend?”  TaeSoo asked, “Dude, hyung!  Couldn’t have picked a better girl myself!” SaetByul said, “That’s wonderful!”  SeungJun said, “Wow… two jobs done by one person…”  TaeWan… he stayed silent.  Ashamed that he had no one that was family.  He seemed… left out. They were all laughing when Erin noticed that TaeWan was apart from the crowd.  She looked at him.  He wasn’t that bad looking.  And she didn’t get why she had to be so mean… SHE didn’t even get it.  She took a deep breath and approached him. ”Look… I’m sorry about blowing up on you.  I really was mad because TaeSoo oppa put all those chips and sodas in MY bag.” TaeWan looked down at his feet and whispered, “This is the first time that a girl has refused me…  I guess I better get used to it from now on.” Erin shook her head and said, “No… You’re a very nice guy.  You really are.  I should know… trust me.” TaeWan looked at her and smiled.  “Who are you sitting next to on the plane?” Erin shrugged and said, “I don’t know… Want to sit with me?” ”Sure!”  Erin smiled and said, “You know… you’re not that bad.” TaeWan laughed and said, “You know… you’re better.” ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ They got on the plane.  It was very crowded, but they all managed to find their seats.  They had first class, so the seats were big.  TaeSoo and SaetByul sat next to each other, TaeWan and Erin, BoSuk and Teri, and SeungJun sat next to someone that was traveling alone. SeungJun asked, “No one’s supposed to sit here, right?  Because I'm sitting here…” The girl smiled and said, “No…  You want the window seat?” ”No, it’s fine.  You could have it.”  The girl smiled and said, “Thanks.  I'm EunYoung.” ”I'm SeungJun.  Is this your first time in Hawaii?” EunYoung nodded and said, “I'm going for my research project I'm doing on Hawaii.  My mom said that I could go… since it’s spring break and everything.  And I'm really nervous about it.  First time… and I'm not even on a tour.  But people said it was better if you travel free-will.” SeungJun nodded and said, “This is my second time.  Hawaii is very beautiful.  Do you want me to show you around when we get there?” EunYoung smiled and said, “Could you do that?  I'm staying at Waikiki Resort.” ”Me too!  Wow… what a coincidence…” ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SaetByul stared at SeungJun and shook her head.  “They got acquainted already… Cham.” TaeSoo laughed as he turned.  Someone had tapped his back.  He gasped and said, “You… what are you doing…” SaetByul turned and smiled. “Hi, JaeHee!  Are you going to Hawaii too?  What a coincidence!” JaeHee smiled at them and turned slightly to Erin, who was grinning.  He said, “Waikiki Resort… you?” ”Same here!  Wow… we could hang out together then!” TaeSoo groaned and said, “Sure… why not…”  This vacation was already ruined.  He could tell. Chapter Ten SaetByul’s head leaned towards TaeSoo’s shoulder and he smiled.  JaeHee, who was watching with fury, shouted, “SaetByul ah!  Look at that! Isn’t that beautiful?” SaetByul woke up with a start and asked, “What?  Oh… yeah… it’s so beautiful.”  She smiled and went back to sleep.  TaeSoo glared at JaeHee and he smiled. Erin laughed and TaeSoo glared at her.  “Shut up, Erin.  Whose side are you on, anyway?” Erin just giggled and leaned back on her seat, listening to music.  TaeWan glanced at her and asked, “Aren’t you sleepy?” Erin shook her head and said, “I'm so excited to go to Hawaii!  It’s my first time there…” ”Really?  I think it’s my third time.  I’ll show you the best places.” Erin smiled and said, “I remember telling SaetByul unnie to keep you away from me… but I guess it’s alright.” TaeWan smiled.  Erin closed her eyes and started to tap her feet to the music.  But soon, her feet were too heavy to lift.  Her head nodded up and down as the plane was bumping along.  TaeWan chuckled and took off her headphones and put the CD player in the front pocket.  Erin’s head started to cock to the side, but TaeWan didn’t notice.  When her head touched his shoulder, TaeWan smiled and sighed.  ‘When can I be like this with you… without you sleeping?’ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ “That was the longest flight I’ve ever been on!  Well… it seemed like it.  But TaeSoo shi helped me pass the time.”  SaetByul smiled at TaeSoo and he smiled back. JaeHee cleared his throat and said, “Hey… since I'm staying at the same hotel as you, why don’t we all go together?” SeungJun spoke up and said, “EunYoung too.  She’s staying at Waikiki Resort too.  Let’s all go together.  BoSuk said, “There’s nine people… I think we will all fit in three taxis.  Three people in each one. Wait… er… since there are so many couples, you wouldn’t want to be separated, do you?” TaeSoo said, “I’ll ride with SaetByul and Erin.”  Erin glared at him and said, “What if I don’t want to ride with you?”  TaeSoo looked surprised and said, “Um… then who do you want to ride with?”  Erin grinned and said, “TaeWan…” TaeSoo smiled but BoSuk frowned.  BoSuk said, “Okay… JaeHee, SaetByul, and TaeSoo, SeungJun, EunYoung, TaeWan, and me, Erin, and Teri.  Okay?” Everyone agreed, even though Erin and TaeWan looked disappointed.  TaeSoo and JaeHee simply glared at each other the whole way, looking for a way to grab SaetByul’s hand… or even her luggage. They all filed into the taxis and Erin glared at BoSuk.  “Oppa… why didn’t you let me ride with TaeWan?” BoSuk cleared his throat and said, “I don’t know… I just don’t like him, Erin.  Don’t hang around him too much.”  Erin frowned, but didn’t say anything else. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ “No… JaeHee, you ride in the front.  I’ll ride with SaetByul.” ”No, TaeSoo… I thought you got carsick.  You should ride in the front.” SaetByul laughed as they argued.  She said, “I got the front then.”  JaeHee and TaeSoo glared at each other, but they both thought it was better than the other sitting next to SaetByul.  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ “I don’t think BoSuk likes me…” TaeWan said to SeungJun. SeungJun, who was in a deep conversation with EunYoung, turned to him and said, “Not now!  I'm talking to someone!” TaeWan looked hurt, and he sat in the front seat.  Life wasn’t fair… He finally thought he found the one… And her cousin hated him.  He sighed and whispered, “I will make BoSuk like me… I will, even if it requires me to do things that I’ve never dreamed to do.” ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Everyone got out of the taxis and EunYoung gasped.  “It’s so beautiful… All these plants… The hotel…” Everyone piled into the front lobby and stared around them.  The ceiling of the lobby was held up by big huge pillars, and the walls were mosaics.  Erin was so amazed by the beauty of the hotel, that she forgot her luggage.  TaeWan came up behind her and said, “Erin! Your luggage!”  Erin turned and smiled.  “Thanks.” But meanwhile, TaeSoo and JaeHee were fighting over who got to hold SaetByul’s luggage.  SaetByul, having no idea that two guys were fighting for her, laughed and said, “I’ll hold my own luggage.  But thanks anyway.” Then, all of the sudden, from behind them came, “JaeHee oppa?  Is that you?”  It caused everyone to turn and frown.  But JaeHee… he turned, but he quickly looked back.  His mouth was open wide, and he smacked his forehead.  ‘Why now?’ he thought. Chapter Eleven The girl who had called JaeHee walked over to him and said, “Hi, oppa!  Wow… these must be your friends.  Hi, I'm Michelle…  I used to like JaeHee oppa when I was young, but he hated me.  We lost contact years ago.” JaeHee muttered, “I purposely moved because of you.” Michelle smiled and said, “Wow… I can’t believe I'm meeting you here.  Let’s catch up on old times.  Sorry… I'm going to take him away for awhile.” Michelle grabbed JaeHee’s arms and said, “Gosh oppa… I haven’t seen you…” TaeSoo grinned and said, “Take him away!  And don’t come back!” BoSuk laughed and said, “Anyways… how to divide rooms.  The sajang nim (president of a company) gave me and Teri a room to ourselves.  And there’s two beds to every room… so…  Then… since we have two more rooms… SeungJun, SaetByul, and TaeWan.  Then Erin and TaeSoo.  Okay?  And EunYoung shi… you have your own room, right?” EunYoung nodded and said, “It’s Room 451.” BoSuk looked at his keys and said, “We have… 448, 449, 450.  Wow… right next to each other.  Well… then… everyone agree?” Erin looked mad and said, “Oppa! Why can’t TaeWan just stay with us?  I mean… he’s TaeSoo oppa’s friend.” BoSuk said, “Yeah… but you’re in the same room as them and you’re a girl.  Unless you want to stay with SaetByul.” ”Well… SaetByul’s a girl too!” BoSuk rolled his eyes and whispered, “Yeah… but TaeWan doesn’t have an interest for SaetByul.” Erin glared at BoSuk and said, “Fine then.  Give me our keys.  Don’t ruin this vacation for me.” Everyone stared after her as she stepped into the elevator.  TaeSoo sighed and said, “Love is such a bad thing to do.  It causes you so much pain.” BoSuk said, “Forget her… she’ll forget about it soon.  Let’s just rest for now… and tonight, we’ll go to the beach.  Okay?  We only have a week to get a wonderful tan… and to get together…”  He winked at TaeSoo and he grinned.  Everyone went up to their rooms.  SaetByul turned to TaeWan and said, “I'm so sorry… I have no idea why BoSuk is so mean.” TaeWan smiled and said, “It’s okay.  I have to get used to people hating me…” SeungJun said, “It’s okay… Dude, BoSuk isn’t a big part of your life.  Ignore him.  Get with Erin.  Who cares about him?” TaeWan smiled, but he knew it wasn’t going to be that easy.  BoSuk looked after Erin and him like a snake watched two rabbits… Right before he killed one… and the other got away. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As everyone was resting, JaeHee wasn’t.  Michelle was dragging him everywhere.  It seemed like she was showing him all of Hawaii in just one walk.  She chattered on about how she’s been here about ten times and how she knew the whole place. JaeHee groaned and thought, ‘I just wonder what SaetByul and TaeSoo are doing… Probably he’s asking her out and they’re going to walk under the moonlight.  Oh gosh… won’t this annoying girl ever shut up?’ Michelle looked at him and said, “JaeHee oppa?  Is something wrong?” JaeHee smiled and said, “No… I'm listening to everything you say.  I'm just making a mental notice.”  Michelle said, “Oh… well take a mental notice of this. I'm going to tell you the best places to eat…” JaeHee groaned and thought, ‘If this was going to go on forever… he was NEVER going to have a chance to talk to SaetByul…’  He was exactly right.  But even if he did have a chance to talk to her… she would have been with TaeSoo… Chapter Twelve SaetByul’s laugh filled the whole room.  Everyone turned to look at her and TaeSoo.  She smiled and said, “Sorry guys… TaeSoo was just tickling me.” Erin sighed and said, “Unnie… you’re supposed to be DRAWING!  Do you want to get kicked out of the company?” SaetByul shook her head, but she was still laughing.  She said, “Sorry guys… I'm really sorry.  I’ll get to work.” Erin turned back to TaeWan and asked, “Are you tired?” TaeWan shrugged and winced in pain.  He rubbed his shoulders and said, “It kind of aches… but it’s fine.” Erin said, “Are you okay?  Oh gosh, TaeWan… what did you do?” She started to massage him, and TaeWan smiled.  He reached across and put his hand on Erin’s.  He grinned and said, “I love acting well.” Erin smiled and blushed.  She pulled away and stuck her nose in a book.  The book was pulled away by BoSuk.  She said, “Oppa!  I was reading!” BoSuk said, “Look… I really want you to stop.” ”Stop what?!” ”Stop hanging around TaeWan.” ”What?  Why? You can’t order me around, oppa.  I respect you… so you have to respect what I decide too.  I decided that I like TaeWan.  And you can’t change that.” BoSuk leaned towards her and said, “Erin… what if something happens to him?” Erin stared at him in disbelief.  Was this the sweet, kind, loving BoSuk oppa she knew?  She said, “What?  Oppa… what are you getting at…?” ”Just be careful… Tell HIM to be careful.” Erin stood up and said, “I didn’t know you were that kind of person.”  She ran out of the room, with everyone staring at BoSuk.  He shrugged and said, “She deserves it.  I told her to…” TaeWan cleared his throat and said, “I'm sorry… but that was a little harsh.  If we don’t come back tonight, you’ll know why.” BoSuk got up to stop him, but Teri grabbed his arm.  “BoSuk oppa… that WAS a little harsh.  TaeWan seems like a sweet guy.  Give him a chance.” BoSuk stared at TaeSoo, who glared at him and said, “That was my friend, hyung.  That was mean.  He was right there when you said that.” He got up and SaetByul followed him out.  Teri sighed and said, “Oppa…” ”Okay… I'm sorry.”  All was silent.  There was no one in the room, except Teri and BoSuk… And SeungJun and EunYoung, underneath the covers, giggling… supposedly reading a book about exotic plants in Hawaii. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ “Erin!”  TaeWan found her in the lobby, looking out towards the beach.  He went beside her and said, “You okay?” Erin turned, and faced him with her wet face.  “I'm so sorry, TaeWan.  I'm so sure he didn’t mean it. And even if he did, I know nothing will happen to you.” TaeWan smiled and said, “I'm sure he can’t do anything to me.  Stop crying… You want to go to the beach?” Erin grinned and said, “Would you go with me?”  He nodded and said, “Let’s go.” They walked to the beach and waded into the water.  Someone approached them with a Polaroid camera and said, “Would you like to take a picture?  Couples love to have their pictures taken on their honeymoon.” Erin blushed and tried to find words to say.  TaeWan smiled and said, “We’re not married… yet.”  He winked at Erin, and she turned redder.  They stood next to each other and took a picture.  The person handed them a picture and whispered to TaeWan, “You better propose fast.  They get tired of you.” TaeWan laughed and Erin looked away in embarrassment.  After the person had left, TaeWan stood there, looking at Erin.  Erin looked up and smiled.  TaeWan said, “You know… he’s right.  Erin… will you be my girlfriend?” Erin couldn’t say a word.  She simply smiled into his eyes and TaeWan and Erin both knew the answer was ‘yes.’ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ TaeSoo drank his water in one gulp and SaetByul said, “TaeSoo shi… Calm down.  Please… BoSuk didn’t mean it.” TaeSoo turned to SaetByul and said, “Okay.  Even if he didn’t mean it, why is he doing this? Erin LIKES TaeWan.  And she never likes boys.  TaeWan is special.  But BoSuk hyung is ruining everything!” SaetByul patted him on the shoulder and said, “It’s okay… I'm sure BoSuk will give in.  He will when everyone is on Erin’s side.  Don’t worry…” TaeSoo sighed and said, “I hope that happens.  Because if it doesn’t, I'm… I just don’t know what I'm going to do.” He sighed as he grabbed onto SaetByul’s hand and smiled.  They walked back to the hotel, not knowing what was going to happen. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Erin and TaeWan went back into their room, holding hands and trying to act calm.  They met SaetByul and TaeSoo at the front of their door and TaeSoo gasped.  “You guys… are going out?” Erin nodded and said, “And I don’t care what BoSuk oppa says anymore!” They all four went in and when they came in, BoSuk stared at them.  He said, “You guys…” Erin spoke up and said, “Oppa, I don’t care what you say anymore.  That’s your opinion.  And most of the time, I want it, but right now, I don’t.  I'm going to go by what I feel and what I like this time.” BoSuk sighed and said, “Well, I can see that you guys are already going out.  So it’s not my place to decide that you shouldn’t like each other.” He turned to talk to Teri and Erin and TaeWan made silent high fives behind his back.  Erin smiled at TaeWan and TaeWan smiled back.  TaeSoo stuck his head between them and said, “Let’s go on a double date, yeah?” TaeWan laughed and said, “Sure!  Let’s go!”  So the two couples walked out of their room… out of the hotel… into the streets of Hawaii, looking for a decent restaurant to eat at.  Chapter Thirteen TaeWan, Erin, TaeSoo, and SaetByul were walking out of the hotel lobby when someone said, “SaetByul ah!  Wait for us!” Everyone turned, watching EunYoung and SeungJun making their way towards them, holding hands.  Erin laughed and said, “You guys… are you guys going out?” EunYoung blushed and said, “SeungJun oppa has been so nice to me.  He asked me out and I had no choice but to say yes.” SeungJun smiled and said, “See, TaeWan.  EunYoung is so sweet.  She didn’t refuse at first like Erin did!” TaeWan laughed as he put his arm around Erin and said, “So… she loves me now.  Right?”  Erin looked up at him and nodded. TaeSoo stared at SaetByul, who was smiling.  She turned to him and blushed.  They awkwardly watched the two couples walk ahead of them, holding hands.  TaeSoo smiled and said, “SaetByul?”  SaetByul turned to see TaeSoo’s hand.  She smiled and slipped her hand in his. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ JaeHee watched Michelle wipe her mouth with the napkin at the seafood restaurant.  He buried his head onto the table as Michelle asked, “JaeHee oppa?  What’s wrong?” JaeHee said, “You’re wrong!  You’re so annoying!  Get away from me!  I would have had a perfect chance with SaetByul if you hadn’t come along!” Michelle, for once, had nothing to say.  JaeHee got up to leave and said, “I’ll pay.”  He was going to walk out of the door when four people came in.  He stared.  It was TaeWan with Erin and SeungJun with EunYoung.  He silently cheered.  There was no… Oh, they came in the door right then… holding hands… He decided to show TaeSoo.  He walked up to them and said, “SaetByul!  Hi!” SaetByul stared at JaeHee and asked, “What are you doing here?”  She glanced behind JaeHee to see Michelle and said, “Oh, you’re here with Michelle.  Well, sorry for interrupting your dinner.  She seems to be waiting for you.  Go along.” SaetByul and TaeSoo went to the table where the others were waiting.  TaeSoo didn’t even hesitate to stick his tongue out at JaeHee.  JaeHee frowned and went back to Michelle.  “I'm sorry, Michelle.  I was just so…” Michelle turned her head away and said, “Whatever.” JaeHee couldn’t stand this.  He glanced over to the table.  SaetByul and TaeSoo were sitting next to each other.  Erin sat next to TaeSoo.  Their side was facing them.  EunYoung and SeungJun were sitting next to each other, with TaeWan sitting across from Erin.  TaeSoo waved and stretched, causing his arm to go behind SaetByul.  SaetByul, who was talking to EunYoung, turned and smiled.  TaeSoo smiled back. JaeHee’s anger reached to the top of his head.  He went to sit next to Michelle.  “Michelle… I'm very sorry.  Please forgive me.  I didn’t realize… how cute you look tonight.” Michelle stared at him and said, “I look cute?  What about SaetByul?  Does she look beautiful?” JaeHee sighed.  It was no use.  She knew that he wasn’t doing it for her.  He looked down at his hands.  “Michelle… When I saw you, I was surprised.  To tell you the truth, when we were little, I didn’t like you.  But now… you’ve changed.  If you just…” ”Closed my mouth, I would be perfect, right?” JaeHee stared at her.  Michelle sighed and said, “It’s not easy.  The only reason why I kept on talking… was because when we were little, I never talked.  And that’s why I thought you didn’t like me.  So I started talking about anything.  I guess that’s what caused you to move away…” JaeHee took her hand and said, “I'm sorry.  I won’t do that ever again.” Michelle pulled her hand away and said, “Go sit with your friends.  I’ll finish eating by myself.”  Then, JaeHee got a brilliant idea.  “Michelle, come here.”  He took her hand and dragged himself to their table.  They were eating lobster.  Erin was opening her mouth and TaeWan was feeding her lobster.  TaeSoo was wiping off something from SaetByul’s mouth, who was blushing.  EunYoung was nudging an octopus and asking SeungJun, “Is it dead enough?”  JaeHee said, “Guys… this is Michelle.  You’ve seen her right?” They all stopped what they were doing and stared.  JaeHee said, “Erin, close your mouth.  You look stupid.”  Erin frowned and TaeWan said, “Hey!” JaeHee smiled and said, “You don’t mind if we eat with you, do you?” They all said, “We don’t mind…”  JaeHee pulled up two chairs.  Michelle sat down and smiled up at JaeHee and said, “Thanks, oppa.”  JaeHee smiled down at her as he sat down.  They all started to eat and in a while, TaeSoo and JaeHee forgot that they were in a fight.  Because they were both occupied with the girl next to them. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Teri stared at BoSuk, who was sitting on a chair, staring at nothing.  Teri walked over to him and gave him a kiss on the cheek.  “BoSuk… you shouldn’t stress over nothing.  Erin will forget about it.” BoSuk said, “How do I express that I'm sorry?”  “Send them on the Love Boat.  Send all of them on the Love Boat.”  She winked and said, “Us too.”  BoSuk smiled and said, “The Love Boat… Hm…” Chapter Fourteen “Oppa?  Where are we going?” They were all crammed into a van that they borrowed.  BoSuk was in the driver’s seat, with Teri next to him.  The next row was TaeSoo and SaetByul, then it was TaeWan and Erin, and the last was SeungJun and EunYoung.  BoSuk smiled and said, “Just watch.” They all sat in silence, trying to take in the surroundings to find out where they were.  Erin leaned towards TaeWan and asked, “Do you know where we’re going?” TaeWan grinned and said, “I have an idea…” SaetByul turned around and said, “TaeWan… tell us!”  TaeWan shook his head as BoSuk said, “We’re here!” They got off.  It was a… boat.  TaeWan grinned.  “I was right.” BoSuk stood in front of them and said, “Welcome everyone!  To the Love Boat!” Erin laughed and SaetByul turned to Erin and said, “I think BoSuk did this for you guys.  To say sorry.  But he just brought all of us along.” Erin nodded and looked at BoSuk.  He was smiling at her and he winked.  SeungJun and EunYoung were holding hands, staring at the boat.  SeungJun was saying, “I came her once with my sister.  And they thought that we were a couple.  So they kept on bugging us to take a picture.  It was really funny.” Everyone laughed as they received their tickets and went in.  There was a picture spot, where they took the pictures for you.  SaetByul and TaeSoo went first.  SaetByul smiled and TaeSoo put his arm around her.  Teri and BoSuk went next.  They just put their arms around each other, smiling widely.  EunYoung and SeungJun went next.  At the last minute, SeungJun turned to kiss EunYoung on the cheek, and they came out with EunYoung’s mouth wide open.  TaeWan and Erin went last.  Erin and TaeWan just smiled.  But when they took the picture, TaeWan turned and hugged her.  They all went on the boat, laughing.  BoSuk pulled Erin aside and said, “I’m sorry, Erin.  TaeWan IS a nice guy.  I just… I was just jealous because I couldn’t date my wonderful cousin.” Erin laughed and said, “Ew, BoSuk oppa!  That’s sick!  I would NEVER date you!” Teri came over and said, “Hey, what’s wrong with BoSuk?” They all laughed as they sat into a table.  All the girls sat on one side, facing the guys.  The boat slowly started going deeper into the sea.  BoSuk winked at TaeSoo and said, “Wow, everyone is going out here, except TaeSoo and SaetByul.” Just then, SaetByul got up from her seat and ran to the bathroom.  Everyone stared at her and BoSuk said, “Was it something I said?” SeungJun said, “SaetByul’s seasick.  I don’t think she likes boats very much.” Erin got up to check if SaetByul was okay, but TaeSoo stopped her.  He took a deep breath and said, “I’ll go.  And just pray that we’ll come back together, holding hands.” Everyone cheered as TaeSoo went to get SaetByul.  TaeSoo knocked on the girl’s bathroom and asked, “SaetByul?  Are you okay?” SaetByul came out with her face turning pale.  She nodded and said, “It’s kind of… okay, I think.” TaeSoo said, “SaetByul… Put your seasickness aside and think about this okay?  Everyone out there are couples except us.  Would you like to be my girlfriend?” SaetByul stared at her and smiled.  She was about to open her mouth, but just then, someone came out of the boy’s bathroom and said, “NO!  SaetByul, no!” They both turned to come face to face with JaeHee.  TaeSoo was so mad.  It wasn’t his place to come in between SaetByul and him all the time! SaetByul sighed and said, “Why not?” JaeHee sighed and said, “Because… I like you too.” SaetByul gasped.  TaeSoo turned to face her and said, “Fine, SaetByul.  It’s either me or him.  Choose now.” Chapter Fifteen SaetByul looked at TaeSoo, then turned to JaeHee.  She opened her mouth, but she quickly covered with her mouth and ran back into the bathroom.  They heard her barfing and winced. TaeSoo started JaeHee and asked, “How’d you get in here?  What are you doing?  It’s not funny, Yoon JaeHee.  You just popped out of nowhere!” JaeHee grinned and said, “I’ve been watching you for some time now… I started watching ever since you got on.  I followed you!  I can’t bear the thought of you and SaetByul being alone.” TaeSoo started at JaeHee said, “Shut up!  I'm always going to be with her after she chooses me!” ”And what makes you so sure she’s going to choose you?” They kept on arguing, and no one noticed SaetByul slipping out of the bathroom, going back to her friends.  She sat down and said, “Guys, JaeHee’s back there.  And TaeSoo and JaeHee are fighting.  Over me…” EunYoung laughed and said, “Wow, you really can’t tell?  I could tell right away, ever since I met you guys on the plane.” BoSuk laughed too and said, “They’ve been fighting over you FOREVER!” SaetByul’s eyes grew wide as she said, “Really?  Everyone knew?” She looked at everyone, who was nodding.  She plopped into her seat and said, “My life is ruined.” Erin patted her back and said, “Unnie, so who are you going to pick?” SaetByul bit her lip and said, “I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings, though.”  She bit her lip until it started to bleed.  She took a deep breath and said, “Fine.  Can you bring them out here?  They don’t know I'm gone…” Erin got up and said, “I’ll go.” She went behind the bathroom and said, “Guys?” TaeSoo and JaeHee both stopped arguing and turned to face her.  TaeSoo said, “We’re waiting for SaetByul.  What do you want?” Erin laughed and said, “Unnie’s outside.  Have you noticed that the barfing sounds stopped?  Or were you too occupied in your stupid arguing?” TaeSoo and JaeHee fought each other to get out there first, stepping all over Erin.  Erin blew at her hair and said, “Gosh, what did I do to deserve this?” She stepped out, looking at the scene they were making.  JaeHee was demanding for an answer, and TaeSoo was just staring at SaetByul.  Erin glanced around the boat and every pair of eyes were on SaetByul and the two guys.  Erin rolled her eyes and said, “Guys!  This is a boat!  A public place!  Can we settle this when we get off, please?” JaeHee said, “Fine!  But right when we get off, please answer, okay SaetByul?” SaetByul looked like as if she was going to cry.  She nodded and Erin moved them aside.  She dragged SaetByul to the back of the boat where they could be alone. Erin sighed and said, “Unnie, how could you not notice?  I was going to tell you before, but I thought it was better for you to just play along.  But I never knew that you didn’t know!” SaetByul sighed and said, “I DID know… I just didn’t want to admit to myself that TaeSoo shi and JaeHee shi both liked me.  It was just so weird.” Erin patted her back and said, “Unnie, who are you going to choose?” SaetByul took a deep breath and said, “You’ll just have to wait until everyone else, Erin.” ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The night on the boat had been wonderful.  Everyone had been dancing and having fun.  When they got off the boat, they were dreading the moment when JaeHee or TaeSoo would have to be heartbroken.  During the whole ride, TaeSoo and JaeHee had been staring at each other.  And now that the moment was here, they didn’t want it to come. After they were off the boat, SaetByul turned to face everyone and said, “Guys… I’ve made my decision.  Oh gosh, I feel so stupid.  It’s not like I'm deciding to live or die… Why is everyone making such a big deal?  Well, I’ve decided that…” TaeSoo and JaeHee both leaned forward in anticipation.  But just then, a big explosion came from behind them.  Everyone fell backward as the big white boat exploded right before their eyes. Chapter Sixteen They all lay on the floor in silence as the sirens came closer and closer.  TaeSoo was on SaetByul, Erin was hugging TaeWan, BoSuk and Teri were next to each other, and EunYoung and SeungJun were holding hands.  BoSuk asked, “Guys… is anyone hurt?” EunYoung groaned and said, “My ankle…” SeungJun immediately got up and said, “Oh my gosh, EunYoung.  Are you okay?” EunYoung nodded and said, “I think my ankle…” Teri suddenly made a little yelp.  BoSuk was at her side instantly.  “Teri, are you okay?  What happened?” Teri grimaced and said, “My… arm.  I can’t…” BoSuk stared at her and said, “Oh… Teri!  We need to get you into a hospital!  Fast!” Just then, flashlights shone at their eyes and some men asked, “Is anyone hurt?” BoSuk answered, “Two!  Take her first.  Her elbow…” The men grimaced at the sight of her elbow and said, “Sorry, you have to wait until the paramedics come.  We’re not doctors.  Just wait a second.” BoSuk nodded and asked, “Erin?  SaetByul?  Any guys?” TaeSoo answered, “I'm fine.  SaetByul?”  No answer.  “SaetByul?” He got off her and slapped her lightly.  “SaetByul?  SaetByul!” SaetByul opened her eyes and said, “I'm fine.  Sorry…” TaeSoo took a deep breath and said, “Oh, SaetByul.  If anything happened…” Erin got up and asked, “TaeWan?  You okay?” TaeWan nodded and said, “You’re okay?”  Erin nodded and BoSuk said, “SeungJun and I are fine.  So it’s okay Teri and EunYoung then.  Hey… where’s JaeHee?” Silence…  Deafening silence. SaetByul put her hand over her mouth and whispered, “What’s that?”  She pointed at a bloody figure laying about five feet away from them.  They all gasped.  It had to be JaeHee… It had to be. TaeWan made his way over to him and said, “Guys… it’s JaeHee.” Just then, the paramedics came and took Teri and JaeHee.  EunYoung kept on insisting that there were others more hurt than her, but they insisted to take her.  They had been hurt the most, they said.  They were the closest to the explosion.  But the question was… what… or who had caused it? They all dusted themselves off and Erin asked one of the officers, “Excuse me?  Was this an accident?” The officer shook his head and said, “Someone caused it for sure…” He walked away and SaetByul asked, “Oh, who would do such a thing?” TaeSoo said, “I don’t know.  Hey, SaetByul… weren’t you just about to tell us who you picked?” Erin stared at her brother in disgust and said, “OPPA!  HOW COULD YOU THINK OF SUCH A THING?  Our three friends are in the hospital!” TaeSoo grunted and said, “Make it two for me.” Erin glared at him and said, “Guys… we need to get home.  We’re all so dirty…  Let’s all change and visit JaeHee, EunYoung, and Teri, okay?” They all agreed and started walking towards the bus.  Whispers surrounded them.  “There was a guy lurking around those four couples…” ”Did you see his face…?” ”No… did you? I heard that he’s the son…” ”No, he’s not the son… he’s the nephew…” ”Kim KiJu…” TaeWan quickly turned around and said, “Who said that?  What was his name?” A lady glanced at him and said, “I said Kim KiJu.  Do you know him?  Oh, what am I thinking!  Why would someone know him?  He’s…” TaeWan shook his head.  “Kim KiJu?  How old is he?” The lady frowned at him and said, “I don’t know!  Around 22…  I think… Why?  Young man, do you know who this is?  You should tell the police!  They think it’s him that committed the crime.” Erin asked, “But why?” TaeWan closed his eyes and said, “He’s after me…” TaeSoo turned and said, “What?  Who’s after you?” TaeWan took a deep breath and whispered, “Kim KiJu… my cousin.” Chapter Seventeen Erin said, “Why is he after you?” TaeWan took a deep breath and said, “I’ll explain in the hotel.  Let’s just go.” They all piled into the van and they were all silent during the ride.  Then TaeSoo said, “Hey!  I just remembered!  SaetByul was about to tell us who she picked!” SaetByul stared at him and said, “TaeSoo shi, I don’t think this is the time.” TaeSoo leaned back on his seat and said, “Fine.  NO exceptions.  Right after TaeWan tells his story, it’s your choice, okay?” SaetByul nodded.  She let out a sigh of relief.  She got more time to think over this.  They finally got to the hotel and everyone piled out.  They all went into TaeWan’s room as he threw his jacket on his bed.  Erin went beside him and said, “TaeWan oppa… what’s wrong?   What is it?  Why is he after you?” TaeWan looked up at the ceiling and bit his lips.  SaetByul walked over him and asked, “TaeWan?  Are you crying?” SeungJun, EunYoung, Teri, and BoSuk stopped what they were doing and stared at him.  He shook his head and looked down at the floor.  SaetByul looked at Erin and mouthed: Do something. Erin tapped his back and said, “Oppa?  Are you okay?  Why are you crying?  Tell us what happened.” TaeWan looked up and wiped his tears.  He took a deep breath and said, “When we were little, we were the closest friends.  We did everything together.  When he got a girlfriend, I felt so neglected.  He did everything with HER now.  And with me, nothing.  So I had a long talk with her.  And I told her about all those good times we shared before she came.  So I guess she ran because of her guilt.  KiJu got mad at me after that.” BoSuk said, “Well, that wasn’t so bad.  There are so many people that do worse than that.” TaeWan said, “Well, this is where the really bad thing comes in.  While she was leaving, she called KiJu.  KiJu knew that she was leaving and he went after her.  But… she got into a car accident.  And she… died.  It was my fault.  I realized that KiJu had really loved her, and he went into a time of depression after that.  It was all my fault.  Wasn’t it?” Erin slapped her forehead and said, “Oppa, don’t stress about it!  I'm sure that he wasn’t trying to blow up the boat because of you!” TaeWan shook his head and said, “You don’t understand.  Because of that incident, I moved here.  Because I was scared of him.  He even tried to… hurt me once.  He really loved her.  And he probably blew up the boat because he wanted to kill me.” TaeSoo stared at him and said, “Don’t worry about it TaeWan.  Are you done now?” TaeWan laughed and said, “Yeah.  SaetByul… I’m curious too.  Who do you pick?” SaetByul looked at TaeSoo and said, “I think... it’ll be better if JaeHee was here.” Just then, JaeHee came in the door and said, “Hey!  You guys left without me!” SaetByul scrunched up her nose and said, “Um… well, yeah…” TaeSoo stared at her and said, “Come on, SaetByul.  Tell us.” SaetByul closed her eyes and looked from TaeSoo to JaeHee.  She whispered, “TaeSoo shi…” Chapter Eighteen TaeSoo jumped on her and said, “SaetByul!  I knew you would come around.” SaetByul smiled and JaeHee said, “SaetByul!  Weren’t you going to say sorry to TaeSoo?” SaetByul turned to JaeHee and said, “JaeHee shi… I'm sorry…” JaeHee chuckled and said, “Okay.  I should have known.  It’s never me.”  He sighed and walked out slowly out of the hotel room.  Everyone watched him leave in sadness. SaetByul looked at everyone and said, “Was I too harsh?” SeungJun laughed and said, “Too harsh?  All you said was you’re sorry.  Don’t worry.  He’ll get over it.” SaetByul sighed and said, “I hope so…” Erin sighed and said, “Guys, we should all go to sleep.  I'm tired.”  Everyone agreed and went to sleep.  But while everyone was sleeping… JaeHee was… ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ JaeHee walked out of the hotel, feel exhausted.  He thought about how much trouble he went through to get here.  He had begged his mom to loan him some money that would probably take him forever to pay back.  And he had also taken out money from his savings!  And SaetByul hadn’t barely even noticed him!  Life was just great. He saw someone sitting on the steps, crying, so he walked over to her.  He whispered, “Are you okay?” The person didn’t look up and whispered, “I'm fine.  I don’t even know you.  Go away.” JaeHee stood down next to her and said, “Are you sure?  You don’t seem okay.” She sniffled and said, “The guy I like.. he doesn’t like me.” JaeHee snickered and said, “Sounds so familiar.  I like a girl.  A lot.  But she doesn’t like me.  She likes someone else.  And I came to Hawaii because of her too.” She looked up and said, “Really?” JaeHee gasped and said, “Michelle…” Michelle wiped her eyes and said, “JaeHee…  what are you doing out here?  You should be with your friends.” JaeHee smiled and said, “SaetByul was the reason why I came here.  And she doesn’t like me.  She likes TaeSoo.” Michelle said, “It’s okay.  Unless you know how I feel.” JaeHee, being clueless, said, “Who’s the guy you like?” Michelle stared at him for a long time and said, “Oppa, do you really not know?” JaeHee shook his head and Michelle sighed.  “It’s you…” JaeHee stared at her, mouth wide open.  “What?  Michelle… you never told me…” Michelle smiled weakly and said, “It’s okay, oppa.  I know you don’t like me.  That’s why I gave up on you already.” JaeHee stared at her and thought about all those times he had spent with her. <I>”Oppa?  Do you want the ice cream?” JaeHee shook his head.  “I don’t want your stupid ice cream!  I could get my own!” Michelle had stuck out her bottom lip and said, “I’ll leave it right here.  And you could come and get it if you don’t like being near me.”  She had left and JaeHee had slowly got up and took to the ice cream. *************************************** “Oppa?  I'm scared.” ”It’s three in the morning!  Go to sleep!  Don’t call me so late!” ”Oppa, I had a dream that you were a monster and you ate me.” ”I wish I could eat you so you could be quiet!  Go to sleep and hang up!” </I> But JaeHee only knew that the next day at school, he had worried silently over little Michelle, whose face was all white. He sighed as he stared into her teary eyes.  “Michelle… I'm sorry for all those times I’ve been so mean.” Michelle stared at him and said, “What?  Why are you sorry?” He said, “I know it’s kind of late.  But… can you keep on liking me?  I'm sorry for failing to realize that you <I>were</I> special to me.  Will you be my girlfriend?” Michelle gasped and said, “Oppa…” ”Does this mean it’s too late?” Michelle shook her head and hugged him.  “I love you, oppa…” JaeHee felt so good hugging Michelle.  “I love you too…” Chapter Nineteen They were finally back from Hawaii, after having a nice time.  Erin had helped TaeWan get his mind off of KiJu.  But it wasn’t the last that they heard from him. After a month had passed, TaeWan had been walking on his way to Erin’s house.  But he felt something following him.  He turned back quickly, but no one was there.  He thought it was odd, but he let it slip him.  Then he felt someone again.  He turned around and whispered, “KiJu?” Just then, someone popped out of the bushes nearby and said, “So, TaeWan… you didn’t forget me.” TaeWan took a deep breath and asked, “KiJu, how could someone ever forget you?” KiJu grinned and said, “Well, I’ve been tracking you down for years now.  I’m the type to get to the point, and you know that.  So why did you send her off?  Why did you make her leave?” TaeWan said, “KiJu… you were my only cousin.  You helped me get through so much…  How could I EVER lose you to a girl?” KiJu sighed and said, “I knew it.  It was because you… didn’t want to lose me…  Well, TaeWan, I guess I already lost you.” TaeWan shook his head and said, “KiJu, I think we’ve just found each other.” KiJu laughed and said, “What? You’re not going to propose to Erin any time soon?” TaeWan stared at KiJu and said, “How do you know her nam?” KiJu laughed louder and said, “I know everyone’s names.  Erin, TaeSoo, SaetByul, SeungJun, EunYoung, JaeHee, and Michelle.” TaeWan’s mouth fell open and said, “Have… you been spying on me?” KiJu laughed and said, “I guess you could call it that.” TaeWan smacked him on the shoulder and said, “You still have that kind of mind, don’t you?” <Center>~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~</center> *Five years later* ”No… WE WANT THE FIRST FLOOR!” ”Why?  Because it’s closer to the exit?” SaetByul laughed and said, “Guys… let’s settle this in a human fashion. We’re pick a number one to ten, and KiJu will pick the lucky number.  And whoever gets closest, that couple gets to pick first.” KiJu said, “I got the number!” The couples talked amongst themselves and picked a number.  TaeWan and Erin said two.  SaetByul and TaeSoo said six.  JaeHee and Michelle said nine.  And SeungJun and EunYoung said one. BoSuk and Teri said zero.  KiJu laughed and said, “I WON!!! I GET THE FIRST FLOOR!” Everyone laughed and hit him.  He said, “AH~ I'm just kidding.  SaetByul and TaeSoo, then JaeHee and Michelle, TaeWan and Erin, SeungJun and EunYoung, and BoSuk and Teri.  The number was six.  Have fun!” KiJu left and started to unpack his bags.  He walked into the first floor, SaetByul and TaeSoo went on the second, JaeHee and Michelle went on the third, TaeWan and Erin went on the fourth, SeungJun and EunYoung stayed on sixth, and BoSuk and Teri stayed on first with KiJu. After everyone had unpacked, it was time for dinner.  They all ate the food that the girls cooked, and KiJu said, “I’ve decided to stay in each floor for each day.  So don’t be surprised when I'm in the other bed okay?” Everyone laughed and nodded.  They liked KiJu… he was fun to be with.  Everyone liked him, especially Erin. (^^ DON’T GET MAD) But TaeWan had proposed to Erin on a boat.  TaeSoo had proposed to SaetByul at a flower shop.  SeungJun had proposed to EunYoung on an airplane, and JaeHee had proposed to Michelle on a starry night, gazing over the ocean.  BoSuk had proposed to Teri while she was carrying his files back and forth.  He had just stood up and asked her to marry him. So everyone was engaged, getting ready to get married in the next month or so.  So everyone HAD gotten together… and they WOULD be together… forever. So… the guys HAD won their girls’ hearts.  They had won their heart for eternity.                 END **************************************************
