Solitude
I sit on the outside watching
The never-ending maze of faces
They all meld into one
Solitude I have found in this place of emptiness
There are none like me, none who know the depth of true emotion, none who have ventured beyond the walls of conventionality
So I sit
And wait for the morning to come
To bring with it a glimmer of hope, that perhaps someday, someone will join me, for there is nothing left to hide from any longer
I rise, and step through the mists
It is no use to be lonely, so I simply mesh with the multitudes, and lose myself once again in the routines of life, knowing that I can never go back to my place of solitude.
