Terry goes undercover to investigate Dr. Cuvier, who is using advanced gene manipulation called splicing to give animal traits to humans. Terry discovers that Dr. Cuvier is using Splicing to create the perfect gang of teenage henchmen. In a confrontation with Batman, Dr. Cuvier was injected with an overdose of his own splicing serum turining him into a creature with multiple animal traits named The Chimera.
