Hello! Chapter 11, baby! yyeeeaahhhAH. ^.^ Okay, I'll shut up now.
~*~**~**~*~
Yuna hung on for dear life with one hand, while she shot at the fiend below with the other.
She was finally able to show him her strength.
The fiend died after a couple of shots, and Yuna put her gun back in her pocket and held on with her other hand, shimming to the right, where her feet could reach land.
Yuna let herself fall, and she landed on her feet on the ground.
Tidus just watched. He was impressed. Yuna had been showing him what she was made of for at least an hour or so. She was breathing heavily when she heard something behind her. She kicked her foot back, attempting to kick whatever was behind her.
Yuna turned and pointed her guns at the mysterious being behind her.
Wakka!
"Ouch, ya?!" Wakka said, holding his stomach. "Oh, Wakka! I'm sorry!" Yuna covered her mouth in surprised and bowed in apology. "Heh... it's okay." Wakka said, flinching at the pain he must've felt right then. Yuna blushed in embarrassment. "I'm very sorry!" Yuna bowed again. She put her guns away.
Tidus was laughing. "Hah! Yuna nailed you Wakka!" Tidus said between laughs. "Yeah, yeah..." Wakka replied, standing up straight. "Anyway, I actually came to tell you a warning that Lu has for you." Wakka said. "What is it?" Yuna asked curiously. "Well..." Wakka started scratching the back of his head. "Lu said that we shouldn't be in Luca. And Rikku came up with an idea too, ya?" Wakka explained. "Really? Well... what is it?" Yuna asked again. "Rikku said we should live in the airship from now on. And... well, I'd have to agree. I mean, it's gotta be safer up there than it is down here, ya? Away from the prison, I mean." Yuna could tell Wakka was nervous to break the news. Whenever there was news, and Wakka was the messenger boy, you could just tell.
Yuna just looked at the ground a few moments.
What should I do? Yuna asked herself. She needed to help Tidus. She didn't want to just go up in the airship forever while Tidus handled things on his own. Would her friends even let her help Tidus?
No! It didn't matter. It was her decision.
But... what if they won't help?
Yuna paused, then looked up at Wakka.
"I..." She began quietly. She glanced at Tidus to see his expression.
He had a worried look on his face, and it told Yuna not to tell Wakka anything just yet, until she knew what Tidus wanted to do.
"May... I think about it... a little, first?" Yuna asked politely. "Well make up your mind before tomorrow, ya?" She could tell he meant that literally. If she wasn't out soon, she'd probably get caught again, and there would be no hope left for her.
"I will." Yuna replied shortly after. Wakka just kind of smiled. "Well, we'll all be inside. Lu's makin' disguises for us, in case there's a chance we all get caught." Wakka then looked at Tidus. "She's makin' another one for you too, brudda." He winked. Tidus just smirked and replied, "Cool!"
Yuna smiled and nodded. "We'll be in, too, soon." She replied. Wakka nodded, and headed for inside of the hotel.
Yuna looked at Tidus with a sad expression. She felt terrible. She was full of hope, but thought pessimistic thoughts. The usually optimistic Yuna, was now thinking this way? It was something that couldn't be helped.
Tidus got up from where he was sitting and walked over to her. He slowly and gently wrapped his arms around her neck, catching her in a soft embrace.
Yuna slowly wrapped her arms around his waist, and laid her head on his shoulder. "I want to help you." Yuna could only say. "I... don't want to make my decision. I just... want to go wherever you're going... nothing else matters." She said softly, closing her eyes. Tidus ran his fingers through her hair and kissed the top of her head. "I know." He replied.
There wasn't much to say.
"That... will be my decision..." Yuna began. "Wherever you go... I promise to follow... until the end." She didn't want to finish that sentence, but it was only true. This would end sometime. He would end... once again... he would end.
"Yuna... it... would be better if you just.. stayed." He said. He remembered how he thought that he could protect her against anything, and would do everything to protect her. But he couldn't promise her safety. Now that he felt her against him, he didn't want to risk it. It would be better if she just stayed.
"No!" Yuna yelled into his shoulder. "I'm going with you! I love you, and I just want to protect you too." Yuna said. "I know." Tidus replied.
There was a long pause.
"Where... will you go... if you happened to... die?" Yuna asked. She wasn't sure she wanted to hear the answer, but right now, she had to be brave. "I don't know." He replied cluelessly.
And he didn't. He'd never thought about it. Yuna sighed.
"But..." Tidus began, releasing her from his embrace. "...The Farplane Maester... he gave me special powers. He said he controlled them, and would only use them against Maester Widel." Yuna seemed confused at first. "I mean... when we... or I-" "Me too..." Yuna quickly interrupted. "Anyway..." Tidus wasn't going to give in just yet. He still wasn't sure. "When the time comes to defeat Maester Widel... all I'll have to do is put up my hand and it will be over. Because The Farplane Maester gave me a strong special power to defeat him in one shot." Tidus explained. Yuna smiled. "Another reason for me to come along if you're so strong." Tidus just slightly smiled.
"But..." Tidus began. "You promised you'd let me come with you if I could prove my strength!" Yuna said, grasping his upper arms. "I didn't promise that." He could only say. He didn't either. "But... I'm good enough aren't I? I didn't get hit once! Please! I promise I've been training really hard!" Yuna pleaded. "I know!" Tidus replied loudly. "I... I know..." He lowered his head. He didn't mean for it to come out so loud.
He had to think. Did he want her coming with him? She was really good in battle. He definitely wouldn't let her die, and neither would anyone else...
Tidus lifted his head. "It's up to the others. If they decide to come with us... then... I promise you... you can come with me. If not... then no. There would be no way I'd take you with me. It would be too risky." Tidus said, slightly shaking his head. Yuna sighed.
Was she really relieved? She wasn't sure they would go along with this plan, and all she wanted was to help him through this journey. If not... then she'd just have to let him go. It's what he wants.
But...
She could sneak along with him if the others refused to help... maybe...
Tidus pulled her back into a warm embrace. Yuna slowly wrapped her arms around him, breathing in his scent.
He smelled so good... like some kind of really expensive cologne. It wasn't on too heavy either like Wakka usually put his on. She giggled at the thought. She then closed her eyes and sighed into his shoulder.
Tidus buried his face into her beautiful soft hair and placed slight kisses on her head. At first he was thinking about what he was going to do with her. But then, her scent pulled him out of that conflicting thought. Her hair smelled so nice, so clean, and so fresh. He breathed in deep, trying to get as much of her fragrance as he could to seep into his nostrils.
Yuna opened her eyes and looked around. The battlefield behind the hotel was very wideopen. It was a lot bigger than anyone would've thought from staring at the three star hotel. It was mostly made of cheap sand and dirt though. There was barely any grass at all. Just weeds. It was the first time she actually concentrated on her surroundings.
For the longest time she was just stuck in her own personal bubble. So alone that her ached everyday. Although sometimes she didn't concentrate on her pain, she had always felt it somewhere deep inside. It was so depressing. But now... everything was fine. She would live forever and love every second of it. As long as he was with her, nothing else mattered. He was everything. She didn't know what it was, but there was something there. Maybe it was his kisses... his love he felt for her... or his stunningly good looks?
His looks... Yuna fell for him like a ton of bricks. She didn't remember quite when she started falling for him but she knew it had only been a few days after she had first met him. She remembered what attracted her to him the most. The fact that he was Sir Jecht's son. Sir Jecht's flesh and blood. It was so amazing to see someone so close to Sir Jecht.
And for Tidus? Well, he felt an attraction to her right when he saw her clumsily fall down those steps in the Temple of Besaid. Eh, that was his nature back then. Like most guys, he was into "hot" girls. And to him, Yuna was definitely hot. Lulu and Rikku were too for a while.
But as he went on with the pilgrimage, his attitude changed by 100%. He became more involved with everything that was happening around him. And when he found out his dad was actually Sin, that's when he really started to take things very seriously. When he learned of his father's past when he had disappeared, he was no longer the Tidus he used to be. Something changed. He couldn't quite put his finger on it, but something had definitely changed within him.
From then on, for some reason he wanted to dedicate his life to nothing but Yuna. To let her go on to defeat Sin, because he didn't want to believe that Sin was actually his father. It was strange... yeah...
