Hello! And welcome to chapter three! This chapter's kind of short, but eh, who cares. ^^ Just enjoy it! Oh yeah... and it's 'Maester Widel' not 'Windel' I spelt it 'Windel' sometimes throughout the previous chapters -_-;
~*~**~**~*~
Everyone was already boarded upon the S.S Winno.
Yuna had made sure that everyone from Besaid was on that ship. She didn't want to leave any lives behind.
Yuna stood on the dock at the bow.
She decided to concentrate on other things that would keep her mind off of tragedy. Like the wind against her olive skin, the way the waves below lapped up against the small ship, and how the sunshine shone so brightly in the sky. This was all very beautiful, and so relaxing. But Yuna couldn't help but feel tense. Everything was so wrong, and all she wanted to do was sit outside and dream.
Yuna sighed hopelessly. How could she sustain her hope with all of this happening? She knew it was impossible to reach her most desirable want, and she knew it was impossible to live a happy life with Lord Maester Widel around.
How could one desire such destruction? Yuna asked herself. Wasn't he too grateful for the defeating of Sin? Why hadn't he tried to stop her from defeating Sin before? Get in her way, so he would of been defeated then? Yuna shook her head, and turned.
She scanned her eyes along the wooden dock, looking at all of the grieving people. Some of them saddened by the fact that they had to leave their home... some saddened because loved ones had gone missing or had been executed. Yuna felt slightly lucky. No loved one had left her yet. But she knew, if there came a time when she would have to give up her life for a loved one, she would. It would be worth it. And she might even be able to see -him- again.
"Tidus..." She put her hand to her chest and closed her eyes. She liked to concentrate on the wind, and pretend it was her love running his hands along her face. He had meant everything to her... and now he was gone. Just like that.
"What're you thinkin' about?" Wakka came up. For some reason hearing Wakka's voice brought her back to reality, and she realized something. "Oh, Wakka! The Al Bhed! They do not live in a town the size of Luca! Rikku, she..." Yuna began quickly. "Hey! It's okay, ya? Rikku contacted us and explained that she'd be at the Luca stadium waitin' for us." Wakka crossed his arms over his chest. Yuna sighed in relief, but did not smile. She just turned back around to stare out into the sea.
She didn't really reply to the subject, but she did respond.
"I... I've been thinking... about him a lot today." She said quietly. At first she heard nothing, and thought Wakka had walked away. She was about to sigh, when she heard, "Hey, it's been two years, ya?" Wakka scratched the back of his head. "Don't say to move on... I have. I can just... never forget." Yuna breathed in deeply, trying not to cry. "Eh... I understand... well, I don't really understand what you feel... but... I understand, you know? I lost someone too, ya? That I loved very much, ya?" Wakka explained. She could tell he was getting nervous. He never really knew how to handle these kinds of situations.
Yuna slightly nodded.
"I... am okay." Yuna replied. "You sure? You can hang out with me and Lu if you want..." He said kindly, putting both hands to his sides. "No... that... is all right." Yuna closed her eyes. "I... would like... to be alone... please." She did really want to be alone. She needed space to review over things. To set her life straight and actually move on. Maybe she really hadn't moved on?
"Okay. Well, me and Lu will be at the top dock, okay? So if you need anything you know where we are." He said, turning and heading for the top dock. Yuna slightly nodded even though she knew Wakka couldn't see her.
~
Yuna found herself asleep in a strange place.
She blinked a few times, and then sat up in an unfamiliar bed.
It looked like a hotel room, but she wasn't sure.
"Lulu? Wakka?" Yuna called.
No sound.
She slightly sighed, and then stretched. As she sat up and swung her feet over the bed she was on, she hoped to Yevon that she wasn't imprisoned by Lord Maester Widel's soldiers. But then she decided to believe that prisoners wouldn't have a room that looked -this- good.
It was true. The room was beautiful. It had shining silk curtains, and air-conditioning. It had beautiful royal blue velvet carpeting, and a queen- sized canopy bed. She was sure this had to be a hotel.
She stretched her arms and got herself out of bed. She felt really cold. Goosebumps covered her skin, and the hair on her arms were standing erect. She shivered, and looked at the window. She couldn't see outside though, for the curtains were blocking her view. Yuna yawned, and stood up. She took light, careful steps to the window.
At first, she was afraid to open the curtains, in fear of what she might see. Would she see a bright sunny day in Luca? Or would she see the gates of a prison? But... there was really no reason for her to be jailed, so quickly Yuna reached out and hastily pulled the curtains back. She blinked a few times and sighed a sigh of relief. A smile spread across her lips. She was indeed in Luca, safe and sound. She wondered how long she would have to stay here; how many nights she would have to spend here before she actually got a house to stay in. Or at least an apartment complex.
She shivered more, and realized it was a bit colder by the window than near her bed. She looked down, and noticed the air-conditioning system. She rolled her eyes at her own silliness, and opened the panel. Still looking out the window, she turned the temperature knob up. She closed the panel back, and smiled crossing her arms over her chest.
Suddenly a knock at the door startled her figure. She jumped bit, and turned around quickly. The knocks grew louder and she heard a faint voice behind the oak-wooded door. She couldn't tell who it was, or what it said. Yuna gulped and responded, "C-come in..." She hoped it was one of her friends...
At first she just saw a slender feminine hand open the door, and then she saw a gray sleeve. She immediately knew it was Lulu. "Hello Lulu." Yuna smiled. "Hello, Yuna." Lulu replied, closing the door quietly. She looked at Yuna, and headed over to her.
"How are you feeling?" She asked. "I'm fine... where are we?" Yuna asked, making sure of where she was. "We're in the Lucan Hotel, can't you tell? You've been here before." Lulu explained, patting her on the head. Yuna giggled. She then looked around and finally realized. "Oh... I see." Yuna replied. Lulu raised an eyebrow and put her hands on her hips. "Silly girl." Lulu replied. Yuna smiled happily.
"We are to stay in this hotel until Wakka and I find a place to live here in Luca." Lulu explained, her tone more serious. Yuna slightly nodded, already knowing she was going to say that.
Hesitation.
"So what do you want to do today?" Lulu asked, her voice slightly more enthusiastic than it had been. "I don't know." Yuna replied, sighing. There wasn't really much to do anymore. If you made one wrong move in public, it was over...
Lulu slightly nodded, understanding.
"So, why didn't I wake up on the S.S Winno?" Yuna asked, turning to Lulu. "We decided to let you sleep. Wakka carried you all the way here without you waking up... you must've been tired..." Lulu explained. Yuna slightly smiled. "Sorry..." She apologized. "It was really no trouble. I was going to wake you up but Wakka insisted on carrying you." Lulu smiled.
Lulu paused before finally saying, "How about we go and get something to eat, eh? You need the fresh air." Lulu said. Yuna liked that idea. She would be able to talk to Lulu about her thoughts. Her thoughts of Maester Widel... although she would have to be quiet in discussion of him. Her thoughts of life... her thoughts of Tidus...
Yuna smiled. "Of course. I would like that." She said. "Oh, but I have to get cleaned up first!" Yuna realized she was in the clothes she was in yesterday. Lulu smiled. "Take your time, we're in no rush." Yuna smiled, and quickly headed for the bathroom. "Oh, and Yuna!" Lulu called. "Yes?" She asked. "Mine and Wakka's room is right next to this one on the right. I'll be there, so come over when you're ready." Lulu smiled. "Okay." Yuna said, stepping into the darkened bathroom and switching on the light. Lulu smiled and headed for the front door.
~*~**~**~*~
Well, I hope you enjoyed that chapter, although it was short... at least you can look forward to the talk with Lulu when Yuna and Lulu go out to eat! ^^;
