~*~**~**~*~

"Why aren't you eating?" Lulu asked, noticing that Yuna was just gazing out of the restaurant window.

Yuna was staring at something. She couldn't tear her eyes away from it. It was so horrid. So terrible.

Yuna looked at the signs posted around town that read things like -Sin's Big Debut Coming Soon!- and -Kill The Summoners-.

Yuna felt tears swell in her eyes reading these signs.

Why was she out about the town with these signs?

She knew that no one would turn her in, for everyone was grateful for her presence. Nobody ever mentioned her and ripped everything that had said -Lady Yuna- on it, from Spira. They did it for her protection and Yuna was extremely grateful. Maester Widel didn't even know of her true identity as a summoner, and hopefully he would never find out. He only knew her as another worthless citizen of Spira.

"Yuna?" Lulu asked, touching her hand that rested upon the table. Yuna looked up. "Yes?" She asked kindly. "Why aren't you eating?" Lulu repeated. "Oh... I- I was just... distracted, that's all..." Yuna said quietly, looking at her untouched breakfast.

Lulu understood. She wasn't blind. She could see the signs that lingered on the streets too. But she didn't dare mention it, especially not in public. She couldn't take the risk of talking about Yuna's identity and one of Maester Widel's soldiers overhearing.

Yuna hesitantly picked up her eating utensils, and began to take small slow bites of food. After eating a few bites of food, Yuna finally decided that she really needed to talk to Lulu. After all, Lulu was so much like a sister to her that she considered her a sister.

"Lulu..." Yuna began. "Yes, Yuna?" She asked, taking a bite of her eggs. "I..." At first she wanted to say how much she hated Maester Widel and how he should be stopped--even though she had no idea how to--but she restrained herself. She couldn't go on dangerously blabbering about Spira's new merciless ruler.

So she quickly decided to change the subject. "I... miss him." She could only say, sighing. Lulu looked at her sympathetically. She knew exactly how she felt. She had lost a love once herself.

-Chappu...-

Lulu closed her eyes and breathed. She quickly opened them and concentrated on Yuna's comment. "I know how you feel. But you can live on. He would want you to. He would want you to think of him everyday, but live happily at the same time." Lulu explained. "I don't see how that's possible." Yuna replied, almost in a whisper. Lulu sighed. "It's just... something departed lovers must deal with. It happens to everyone, I suppose." Lulu said, trying her best to comfort Yuna.

It wasn't helping. Nothing could help. The only thing that could actually make things better was if he came back to her. If only he returned. Someway. Somehow.

Yuna slightly nodded though.

She wanted to speak to Lulu about everything...

"Lulu?" She looked at Lulu. "Yes?" Lulu replied. "W-when did you... get your first kiss... and from whom?" She figured it was Chappu, but she had to make sure. Lulu smiled at her question. "I got my first real kiss at fifteen, and yes, with Chappu." Yuna smiled. She was certainly correct.

"It was when Chappu and I were just friends. We were outside with you and Wakka and Kimahri... and--maybe you remember this--Chappu and I went inside of the hut to get something to eat... and... it went from there." Lulu blushed. Yuna almost gasped. "Lulu, you didn't-" "No!" Lulu yelled... a little too loudly. She quickly quieted herself and her cheeks turned even redder. "It was -only- a kiss." Lulu whispered.

So -that's- why it took so long for them to return, Yuna thought, smirking.

"Now it's your turn, missy... where did you receive -your- first kiss, hm?" Lulu smirked, raising one brow. Yuna coughed a bit, and she felt the heat get to her cheeks. It was only fair though... Lulu told hers, so Yuna felt she had no choice but to confess hers too.

"Well... do you remember that night I wanted to be alone in Macalania?" Yuna asked. "Yes... and Tidus went to see you..." Lulu already knew where this was going, but she listened anyway. "Yes... and... I started to cry for some reason." Yuna didn't really want to get into details on this. "And... he kissed me... to... comfort me. And then... I realized that ever since he became my guardian, he had always loved me..." Yuna felt herself sadden, but she strained to keep cheerful.

Lulu smiled contently. She loved expressing her thoughts to Yuna, and loved hearing what Yuna had to say. "I was naive about Tidus..." Lulu looked to the ground. "I... just thought of him as a very immature, naive, young boy... but... he really grew throughout the pilgrimage..." Lulu said.

Quickly, Yuna wanted to change the subject. She was on the brink of tears by Lulu's words. She didn't know why, but everything that involved Tidus in it just made her want to kneel down and cry.

"The pilgrimage... such a waste of time..." Yuna shook her head, referring to Maester Widel. Lulu had, now, a stern look on her face. "Don't say that Yuna. The pilgrimage was everything. And now, even if Maester Widel resurrects Yu Yevon--which is highly doubtful--you can still defeat him again." Lulu explained. "But then we would all be killed... for our deeds." Yuna sighed. Lulu didn't know what to say at first, but soon found words.

"The people of Spira love you more than anything. They would not let him do that to us." Lulu said, quickly regretting that comment. For she knew that no mortal power could defeat Maester Widel and his ultimate powers. "You know he cannot be defeated. He had proved that a while back... don't you remember?" Yuna asked quietly. Lulu slightly nodded.

"Don't fret about it... live happily." Lulu could only say.

Yuna sighed and looked at her plate.

She realized she was done eating, and stood up.

"Where are you going?" Lulu asked. She wanted to talk some more, and hoped Yuna wasn't upset.

"I'm... tired." Yuna lied. She knew it was a bad lie, but she really needed some fresh air. Away from everybody. Lulu just looked at her. She sighed and looked to her lap. "All right." She didn't want to bother Yuna by making her stay.

"If you want I can pay for the meal." Yuna said. "No... that's all right. I have it covered." Usually, Yuna would say something like "are you sure?" but today she just nodded, and hastily headed out of the restaurant doors.

It was a normal warm, sunny day in Luca. Yuna figured that's what the weather was always like here, since it was so close to Besaid, and Besaid's weather was always like this. She liked it. She always told herself that she wouldn't know how to survive in Mt. Gagazet's cold winter regions.

She walked upon the cobblestone street, scanning her eyes along the buildings that stood, surrounding her. She always wanted to live in a tall building. But she didn't want to live all the way at the top. Maybe the second floor or the third floor would be nice. Now that Lulu had mentioned Tidus she couldn't stop thinking about him. She couldn't stop asking herself if he was thinking about her... if he was watching her right now, or what? Did he really just disappear? Into thin air?

Yuna sighed, and then noticed something. She looked to her left and noticed an alley. It was a pretty dark alley, and she could see the hotel past it. She sighed in relief of this newly discovered shortcut. At first hesitant, she decided to go into the dark alleyway to the hotel.

She made sure that she didn't step on any broken glass or anything as she made her way through. She made her way past trashcans and broken strollers thrown about. The air reminded her of the air in Besaid... polluted... it smelled like a dumpster was located there, and the air was thick. It made Yuna feel quite queasy, but all she could do was ignore it.

She made her way along when suddenly she thought she heard something in the distance behind her. She turned around and immediately attempted to listen more closely.

It was the pounding of combat boots against the cobblestone street. Yuna's heart skipped a beat. She heard yelling. Commandments. It was Maester Widel's soldiers. Why were they here? What did they want? And... who were they yelling at?

Yuna knew it was too dangerous to find out, so she just continued on her way to the hotel, despite all of the cries and yelling. It stung Yuna hard to just leave this go. She wanted to do something, but she was alone. No one was there to protect her and she didn't want to die. She seemed to fear more things nowadays. She feared death the most. Even hearing the word -death- would make her shudder with slight anxiety.

Anything but death... anything...

Yuna stopped dead in her tracks when she heard the combat boots rumbling closer... closer... closer...

Yuna turned.

There they were... they were running in her direction.

Immediately she felt sick to her stomach. "What do they want with me?!" Yuna whispered to herself. She didn't move... mostly because she was stunned, but also, because if she did, she would be shot down in a matter of seconds. So she just stood where she was and awaited for Maester Widel's army.

Closing her eyes, she waited.

And then it came... a hit to the head with a large submachine gun and she was on the ground. She didn't even cry out, surprisingly. She just opened her eyes and prayed to herself silently. On one side of her mind she was wondering why? Why were they doing this? What did she do? Did they find out that... she was a summoner? She heard that summoners were sent to execution right when they arrived at Maester Widel's private prison. From what Yuna heard, there were only two in all of Spira. One in Bevelle, and one in Luca...

On the other side of her mind, she was praying... praying with all she had. Praying that someone, or something would help her. Help her now...

-Help me...-

She silently pleaded.

The soldiers grabbed her forcefully by the arm and pulled her to her feet with great force. She stumbled a bit and was hit in the back with one of their weapons again. This time she made a slight -mph- noise and stood back up so that she wouldn't get hit anymore.

"You are to remain silent, -summoner-!" One of the soldiers said.

So they did know... but who told them? Who else knew of her? She knew that her friends couldn't of turned her in... then... who was it? Dona? Isaaru? One of their guardians? Maybe even a living Guado? Who?!

"Who?!" Yuna yelled out.

Big mistake.

She was hit on the back of the head with one of their weapons again.

"Silence!" They shouted in unison. Yuna felt terrible. She wanted to die now... she had changed her mind about not wanting to die... Oh did she want to die so badly...
